  1. I was able to catch the full Joe/Gravity squash on YouTube and I must have watched Joe do that slow-walk 100 times now. I need to track down some more Gravity stuff. Fun gimmicks and squashes might be my favorite combo. Considering I don't have Dark/Elevation to fill my weekly wrestling void I'm thinking of springing for the Honor Club. I've never really been an ROH guy but they've got a fun group of wrestlers. Not a fan of Adam Cole or MJF promos but I caught the recap video of their shenanigans the past month and the after-match promo from last night and they're winning me over.
  2. I figure that's gotta be the only thing holding it up now. I checked the store and everything else. I finally got Mr. Brodie Lee unlocked so now just have to get the Big Paul from career mode. I also got my first official 5 star match in a tag match of all things. I had a 7 star match a while back but I think that was only because I eliminated every single wrestler as Penta in the battle royal match. Still have trouble getting 4 stars on singles matches. I'll have A+ in all categories on Elite difficulty and still get a B rating, it's weird. Thankfully it doesn't really matter
  3. Still haven't unlocked Owen Hart despite getting the trophy and everything. I'm sure I'll eventually get him one day. I won all the belts with Kenny and was happy to see him carry them all in his entrance, as well as use each of them as weapons during a match. Game is still worth it just to play as Orange Cassidy, I can't get enough of it.
  4. Still playing a ton, I love the game more and more as I play it. I love the entrance controls and the signature/finisher setups. As I've said before, upping the difficulty definitely improved gameplay, but I'm finding it way too hard to kick out of pinfalls. I won't even be below 50% health and get pinned after a basic strike knocks me down sometimes.
  5. As bad as some of their stuff can be at least TK doesn't seem to be overly stubborn and try and force it
  6. Looks like I'll have a WWE show in my area on July 29th and on August 2nd AEW Dynamite 200 is only a couple hours away in Tampa. I can get free tickets to both shows but let's say I only had one choice, what would y'all pick? I'm definitely a bigger AEW fan but I haven't been to a WWE show in 17 years and I remember house shows being a lot of fun.
  7. After another 5 hours of playing I can say I love this game. I still wish there was some match customization (Ironman, tornado tags, 2/3 falls) but upping the difficulty really made a difference for me. I hope it does well enough to get more support/sequels because I would love to see this gameplay with more match variety and better multiman AI.
  8. I'm still reading the past couple pages of comments and agree with a lot of the gripes but overall I'm pretty happy with this game. I'm disappointed I didn't preorder, I bought the Elite Edition but still don't have Matt Hardy. Not a huge deal to most but he's one of my all-time favorites and it feels silly having Jeff but not Matt. The gameplay has been pretty fun, I put it on Hard mode to balance it out more. I really wish there were sliders for match settings as it seems too easy to win/lose sometimes. That said I like it a lot more than the last WWE 2K game I played. I'm pretty happy with the roster too. As someone who has played these games since the late 90s they have pretty much all of the big names here. Samoa Joe and Claudio are the big standouts as far as omissions, as well as Jamie Hayter. Otherwise I think they have a good mix of originals and the bigger acquisitions. I'm sure I'll update later with more thoughts, but despite how barebones the game seems at first glance I'm having a blast trying out all the different wrestlers. Hopefully DLC and the like can improve it even more. Tomorrow I'll try out the Career mode and see how that goes. Also I can't get enough of playing as Orange Cassidy. They did a great job folding his schtick into the game and really making it work.
  9. I'm housesitting for a friend who has cable so I was actually able to watch Collision last night. I liked the promos to open up the show and the general vibe being different than Dynamite. I didn't care for the new commentary team. Kevin Kelly clearly didn't do any prep, maybe after a while he'll settle into it. I like they also had a different ring announcer (can't remember her name,) another great way to differentiate from Dynamite. None of the matches stood out much for me, favorite of the night was Andrade/Brody. Really glad Brody didn't eat a pin/submission. He's by far the most interesting member of HoB and should be a top guy. Overall it was a fun show and the two hours flew by.
  10. Seems like a lot of us are playing Diablo right now. Would be cool if we could form some groups in the future. I'm definitely down to send my Barbarian to help out with the capstone dungeon that unlocks nightmare mode. Even though I beat the main campaign earlier this week there is still so much left that I haven't seen, really enjoying my time with this game.
  11. I just wrapped up the campaign for Diablo 4 and that alone would be well worth my money but who knows how many more hours I'll put into this. I played as a Barbarian and will either roll Sorcerer or Necro next. I still need to look for groups and figure out more multiplayer stuff but I'm having a blast as is for now
  12. PS5 for me, most likely will do the preorder. Every clip I see makes me more and more anticipated for this game.
  13. I keep hearing about this ignore feature but I can never find it. There are only a handful of people here who annoy me so thankfully it hasn't been too big an issue Edit: Thanks odessasteps, that did the trick!
  14. I missed the Buy-In match but I had just told a friend(one of those rare casual fans) that Jeff was still wrestling and the look on his face was probably the same all of us have about him. I'm fine with Matt Hardy but Jeff Hardy is just an embarrassment and liability, they need to have their final tag match already and get it over with
  15. Not one of my favorite AEW shows but it ended with some good matches. Orange Cassidy with the hilarious battle royal elimination was a great start. B/R started screwing up during the Cole/Jericho match but I was fine with that. The next few matches were kinda just there but I enjoyed the Trios match for what it was. I really enjoyed the 4-way match but I don't think Jungle Boy or Sammy need to be anywhere near the main event again for a long while. Count me in as one of the few that enjoyed the crappy band playing Wild Thing over and over, it matched up well with the chaotic camera cuts and had a nice payoff with the Superkick party ending the set. One of the weaker AEW PPVs I've purchased but I still feel like I got my money's worth and I was entertained. Also very happy it wrapped up before midnight, nice to see that the 6 hour shows seem to have been retired
  16. Watched some of the Uno/Orange stream and it's still looking promising to me. I know it won't be perfect but it seems to be checking all the boxes I'm looking for
  17. I finally got around to watching The Batman and overall I enjoyed it. Most of my issues with Batman in it can be explained away with him being new to the job still so I didn't let that bug me too much. Also would have liked it to be a little bit shorter but it didn't feel bloated. Easily my favorite batsuit out of all the movies, imposing but not bulky or rubbery. Pattinson did a great job too so I'm looking forward to a sequel. I just watched The Lighthouse this weekend too so I'm officially a fan of him as an actor.
  18. Count me in as someone who is continuing to miss Dark/Elevation. B/R is garbage but now that my internet is better I can at least stream the PPVs. I don't have cable though and would love an easy, non VPN way to catch up on Dynamite and the other Turner shows. Those YouTube shows kept me up to date on the storylines and had awesome commentary, I'm missing Taz/Ex
  19. I'm hoping they do a house show run in South Florida sometime. I always liked non televised events and Tony Chimel always has the hookup on awesome tickets.
  20. Seems like a good idea to me. The women's roster gets more facetime and experience and I don't see why the ratings would suffer. If anything they might improve as they have a lot of beautiful women on the roster and I can imagine that would draw in a few extra eyeballs.
  21. I hadn't been on this forum for a couple days and saw the terrible news on Reddit, which just shows how many lives DEAN touched. I've been on DVDVR in some form or another for two decades, even when I stopped watching wrestling I would keep up with WWE just to see what DEAN and others had to say about it. RIP DEAN, may this wonderful message board continue on in your memory.
  22. Can't be worse than using Bleacher Report to watch a PPV. What a nightmare. Hadn't read all the posts yet and now am seeing that WBD owns B/R as well. I'll still take it on Max, as I've never had an issue watching anything on that app. Bleacher Report is where I go if I want a spotty connection and a nightmare UI
  23. Super-bummed about Elevation/Dark ending. Most of my wrestling intake was between those two shows, and I absolutely loved Daddy Magic and Tazz/Excalibur on commentary. Hopefully once they get the new show worked out they'll figure something out. If they start putting content on Max that would be cool too
  24. That one is still sitting in my backlog. Think I might try and get back into it on a long weekend. I'm only about 5 hours into it but at least have all the intro stuff out of the way. I just have so many games to catch up on but keep going back to Civ 6
