  1. Well, when he was younger, he apparently left his wife and kids behind a few hundred (more like a few thousand) nights to go stylin' and profilin', so it's not exactly surprising.
  2. Y'all are just missing the obvious explanation: WWE Films is shooting a remake of Midnight Express. This development makes me a little more interested in SDL tonight. I mean, not enough to watch or record the show, but I'll probably read Meltzer's recap by Sunday or Monday.
  3. I'm getting it because I respect Kojima's work, even if the MSG games have never been personal favorites. But, yeah, in a lot less of a hurry to actually play it after reading some reviews. So maybe Kojima did need Konami to reign him in and keep his ideas on point after all. I watched the trailers and still didn't think Stranding would boil down to "Post-Apocalyptic UPS Driver - the Game." Oops. I was wrong.
  4. Eh, I largely agree with Seth. I'm probably in the minority, but the Mox podcast with Jericho annoyed me. Moxley would go out of his way to say "well, I don't want to bash the company but....." and then he would spend 20 minutes telling embarrassing stories and generally shitting on the company. I don't have a problem with bashing Vince - and Mox was very entertaining. But the whole "I'm going to take the high road here nudge nudge wink wink" routine irritated me.
  5. So what uncomplimentary things did Seth have to say about Moxley? I must have missed that entirely.
  6. Anyone else think that the doctor that cleared Ric Flair for the ring is a WWE employee named Malcolm Practice?
  7. Is it even the worst angle the company has run in the past few months? I feel like the Mike/Maria cuckold angle might give them a run for that title. Granted, that's a bit like debating whether or not the toxic sludge your company is illegally dumping is worse than the radioactive waste they were dumping a few months back.
  8. Considering I haven't bought a WWE game in 14 years, and 2K20 looks like an like an amusing disaster, the odds that I'm buying both 19 and 20 anytime in the next 10 years is really small. I'm going to spend a few bucks on 19. Unless this franchise really gets its act together, it may be another 14 years before I buy a wwe game. Until this afternoon, I had no idea that 19 had 250 wrestlers in it. Holy shit. Though it did make me wonder exactly why there needs to be one of these games every year (money). Considering how little the roster turns over from year to year, you could make a game every 2-3 years and release new signees as dlc.
  9. You can still edit default movesets in WWE 2k19, right?
  10. I've played Fire Pro for 20 years, give or take. Spent an insane amount of time with FPR. Haven't spent a lot of time with World, but I'll get back to it sooner or later.
  11. So what WWE game(s) would be picking up for the PS4? 2K19? I haven't played a WWE game since SVR 2006, but I wouldn't mind picking up one of the recent(ish) entries. Any suggestions?
  12. I'm guessing it has a lot to do with what sort of mood Vince is in that day and how much you piss him off. Regarding the Fox deal, wasn't the issue with the CW that, even though ratings and demos were fairly good, ad revenue was soft because advertisers didn't feel like viewers were purchasing the products and thus didn't want to buy time during the show (which is industry code for "right age-group, wrong income bracket")? That's kinda how I remember it. I'm assuming after being unceremoniously dumped by the CW, the WWE tried to get some sort of contract language that would make it difficult/financially unfeasible for Fox to cancel them prematurely.
  13. Yes. In July. It's been less than 2 months since they were tag champs on Raw. Obviously, their reign was very memorable. In the two months since the OC held the belts, there have been three title changes. Ugh.
  14. Almost 24 hours and no one's made the "This wouldn't have happened at a Ribera Steakhouse" joke yet? It's sad how far DVDVR has fallen.
  15. JSA upon being told that it's only 10 PM EST and RAW has another hour to go. I can relate. That's my reaction to the show a lot of weeks.
  16. I hadn't heard of Praey for the Gods until this morning. My god, I'm going to be so bitter when there's no physical edition of this game. There's a good bit of gameplay footage on Youtube. Looks incredible. I don't even care that it looks lik Shadow of the Colossus with snow. How is that a bad thing?
  17. Corbin wearing the undershirt with pants made me realize he's a shoe throw away from morphing into Konnan 2.0.
  18. Luckily for Savio, wrestling is an upper body business. He’ll be fine.
  19. So what you're saying is that, if someone tries to murder you with a car in the parking lot of a WWE wrestling event, the correct course of action is not to investigate the attempted murder yourself? Next you'll be telling us that, if someone tells you he investigated the attempt on your life and knows who the culprit is, you should try to get him to tell you right then instead of waiting one week for the next televised broadcast of the wrestling show. Compared to WWE, the Konan angle makes perfect sense to me. ? If you insist on trying to apply logic to wrestling angles, Vince McMahon's attorneys are going to want to have a word with you.
  20. I thought the mystery assailant was going to be Savio Vega. I was disappointed (again).
  21. Lol, I feel like fans have unrealistic expectations these days. I feel like two seasons is more than enough time to find an audience. The ratings for season one were really dismal. Networks shouldn't be expected to keep pouring money into a show that isn't drawing viewers or making them money. Just because the WWE keeps getting bigger and bigger tv contracts in the face of declining ratings doesn't mean it's a viable business model. From a creative standpont, I thought season one was dismal. Game of Thrones with worse actors, writers, and production budget. But in space. Season two looked much better, but, honestly, i didn't watch. I probably watched about 40 minutes of the whole season, spread out across 3 or 4 episodes.
  22. Like Lana and Rusev could hang out in catering..... Security wouldn't believe them when they claimed they worked for the WWE and they'd be escorted out of the building. To be fair, Vince probably doesn't remember who Rusev is either.
