  1. I brought it up in the gif thread. Matt basically doesn’t make any contact with Sammy’s chin, and his sole. He just raises up the leg, the inside of his calf makes contact with the chest, and the foot is on top of Guevara’s shoulder. It’s like Matt threw a worked roundhouse, but it’s more like he missed him by an inch. Sammy’s selling is the key. He lands feet first off the springboard, and does a breakdance collapse with his entire body. If Sammy wasn’t so flexible, and used to doing that, his knees would be shattered.
  2. Okay where is the actual quote from? Because I’m looking for it, and all I can find is an article about Young Bucks, and dropkicks. With Cornette saying Ric Flair & Ricky Steamboat “never exposed” the biz. Which is funny because Flair would be considered by a lot of people back then as a “clown” for all his chicken shitting, and pratfalls.
  3. I would program them with all their pet projects in the tag division. People forget that the Revival essentially got the Vaudevillan’s, Enzo & Cass, and American Alpha roster spots just by making them look like the second coming of all the tag teams they modeled themselves after. Just think what they could do with Jurassic Express(Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy), Private Party, Best Friends, and maybe even The Hybrid 2 who are floundering as heels. Mentoring the future was their job in a lot of ways, and they haven’t really done that(or it’s less obvious on TV) since they got called up.
  4. I just read that Chris Bey(The wrestler Cody has been scouting) had actually been signed by Impact since 2019, and wasn’t just recently signed by Impact. Is that confirmed anywhere?
  5. Now that I re-evaluate the Martel poof-perm. Another reason he probably dropped it was that his hair was thinning so bad that cameras were picking up on it during later stages of long matches. Which is why he might have went with the slick back ponytail instead. Sadly it didn’t really work with that one either.
  6. That isn’t right. I remember waking up way in the morning on Saturday’s to watch Classic Sports re-air old matches from the late 50’s/early 60’s, and dropkicks were pretty common. Hell my favorite dude from those shows was Larry Chene. Who’s big move was essentially hopping over the ref while using him as leverage to dropkick his opponent. I have this feeling that Cornette for all his love for old wrestling is going to manipulate facts from back then to try to win online arguments for... I want to say “no reward”, but sadly he’s getting rewarded for this asshole-ish behavior.
  7. One thing I notice about Page is that he shoot drinks these beers, unlike Austin. But, I also noticed on this particular episode he drank about 1/4 of a full cup, then he grabbed another beer, and proceeded to walk to the back with it without taking a swig. I guess all that drinking post match has finally taken its toll.
  8. It’s a shame that Martel’s poof perm was going out of style around after his debut. I thought he pulled it off better than Rude, but not better than Garvin.
  9. Well if the Revival are still potentially coming in, then they’ll have to make some room for them. So whatever they might think of doing with the Bucks will have to be put on hold until they know they can’t get those guys.
  10. Colonel Robert Parker was his idea!? ...And you guys say this man isn’t a genius.
  11. I was getting Atlasphere(the hamster ball game from American Gladiators) vibes when I saw the smoke boxes.
  12. Wow, I just noticed this on my 300th time watching this. He never makes contact with the bottom of his sole. Matt’s foot just lands on his shoulder. Really good slight of hand.
  13. The only way I can see Joe continuing at this point would be for him to radically loose all the weight.
  14. Taz never talks about his old gimmick on commentary. Dudes funny, but he doesn’t like to get funny with that. Like I’d wish he’d jokingly refer to every suplex as a Taz-plex.
  15. Last weeks Austin episode.
  16. As pointed out by Unspooled today... Is this guy from the forgotten Spider-Man show...
  17. Sort of... I don’t remember Miz mentally abusing Cole before he turned him into his Renfield-like servant, but I did notice the change in attitude for Tony as well. I wonder if this is a rib on Tony, and his wife’s relationship.
  18. Not as hot as Austin, but you guys still sounded hot. Especially during the tag match.
  19. It’s the 2nd time on Dynamite that Sammy went kamikaze off a super kick, but this might’ve been the best one yet. Guy needs to be rewarded, and start picking up wins after Revolution.
  20. Tell him it’s a beer league, and they need a first baseman.
  21. They ain’t taking the belt off Nyla. Barring an injury she can go a year dominating what they got, and what they’ll potentially pick up in the future.
  22. I don’t have a real problem with people giving opinions on a wrestling show. What I do have a problem with is the presentation of it. It felt really confusing while watching it all. I thought at first I was watching a pre-show where YouTube personalities gave opinions on last weeks show. But no, these were apparently taped opinions to a very short show that didn’t air yet wrapped around by Sean Mooney who sounded, and looked great. Then to add to it, this show was barely over 15 minutes before it just ended anti-climatically with no new Powerrr to follow. Maybe they’ll film more stuff at the next streaming taping, but I don’t think it’ll be a good idea to have your crowd sit around longer for prelim stuff. Shit people at Dynamite, or 205 Live barely want to stick around for that either.
  23. They need to keep getting further away from the pretty model ladies(except Christi Jaynes who has talent)
