  1. Sabian has a look, but I don’t think he has enough to set himself apart yet. He has the issue that AEW has another version of him in Sammy Guevara. And even though he was booked to go over him in the first match in company history, Sammy still came away from that match looking like he had more to him than just a look, unlike Sabian. I think Kip needs a refresh to set himself apart. Something that utilizes his good looks, but isn’t a retread of somebody else on the roster. Janela... Boy, Janela. Janela does way too much in the ring. He can do things that other people do on the roster, but nowhere near as well. He’s like Jimmy Garvin, and I like Jimmy, but Jimmy was the lesser of everybody else when booked as a solo act. I’m glad they stopped booking him with other top guys for now. He had no business going over Rey Fenix awhile back ago, and he really shouldn’t be a face.
  2. Yano should, and will never lose his spot. He guarantees a crowd reaction, and an easy way to shave points off a wrestlers final G1 tally.
  3. I wonder if they’ll do the the double ring for The Match Beyond. If they do, then it won’t happen till All Out. Double or Nothing’s seating chart calls for one ring only. I wonder if they’ll be willing to lose seats for the double ring. That’ll be a tough thing for them to lose. Also for the face, and heel line-ups it needs to be 5-on-5. And you’ll need two big guys on the face side to rough house the heels when the faces get the advantage near the end. The WarGames slowly forgot that easy pop scenario over time.
  4. Plus they have the Inner Circle still. I think another scenario would be to align The Revival with Cody, and Arn to make them into a babyface group. It’s the most interesting outcome I thought of, and would be better than another heel stable. But that’s the wrong scenario for The Revival. They work better as heels, and them working heel against say a babyface team like Jurassic Express will only benefit the Express in the long run.
  5. Thank you, Pistol Pez, for stopping this dance party.
  6. I didn’t watch last years show, but I mean it’s the WWE. Low effort is their thing. Although in the past their post-Wrestlemania shows were reserved for season premiere kind of stuff, and that creates some buzz.
  7. I don’t know how you’d stop that unless you tell people they’ll be escorted out of the building if they don’t adhere to a new strict fan etiquette guidelines which I don’t remember any posted. They are also still selling 4- day packages for events. So they aren’t discouraging that kind of hardcore crowd to come. You maybe are thinking about when they told fans to dress more appropriate to the Hall of Fame, and less fan casual.
  8. Thing is Mania has sold out well in advance(Or near it) prior to the complete card appearing in past years. A lot of this is on the place they’ve chosen, and the interest in the product being down. I have a feeling LA next year will be up though.
  9. Also being reported that ticket sales are down for the post-Mania RAW. That isn’t shocking considering Mania still isn’t sold out. Tampa ain’t a good place to hold a big show.
  10. Erick Stevens looked okay. Before Michael Elgin became a thing, he was the Michael Elgin of the indies. Technically an excellent performer, but lacked the personality to be pushed over his contemporaries at the time. That guy he was in the ring with looked, and wrestled like Davey Richards. If you suffer PTSD while watching Davey matches, then skip it. King Mo against Dax was that old mid-90’s WCW squash against big ass jobbers you don’t see anymore. Still was somehow disappointing. King Mo basically got in a fluke choke to beat him early. I would’ve preferred if he got some impressive strength spots in there from Mo before he got the win. Maybe they just didn’t trust the jobber to fuck it up? “Filthy” Tom is so much better as a heel. I have no idea why Court made him the top babyface of the promotion at one point. He’s too much of a little shit to be anything else(even with the legit MMA background).
  11. Potential Britt Baker rematch?
  12. It’s alright if you listen to it I guess, but I just find that wrestling podcasts are very same-y, or very grifter heavy, and I’ve given up listening to them completely. Plus I think I’ve heard the same stories over, and over again that they are all stuck in my head now. I’ll probably give it another try in 20 years when Jungle Boy starts his Augmented Reality Cast(Or whatever the future programming tech is) talking to the new generation of vets with wild stories.
  13. You ever been to a Florida Publix parking lot? You’d know if you lived here.
  14. I like the shirt for the Jericho one. You can simulate the beer gut with some cotton balls underneath. Can’t do that with the standard one.
  15. Cornette’s kinda become a sort of the Limbaugh type at this point for pro wrestling. Where you pass by somebody having lunch in their beat up Cadillac with bumper stickers like “I love sushi” featuring a stick figure giving another stick figure fellatio, and Calvin pissing on a Calvin logo who’s pissing back at the same Calvin logo to hear familiar southern ear splitting overtones of one James E. Cornette. You let out an “Oh boy...” under your breath, and walk away. Though Jericho wants to be Joe Rogan, sooooo...
  16. Riho is a question mark right now. She wants to stick with Japan. She might also not want to do this that long.
  17. Oh those two will steal the show. No question now.
  18. I wonder if the current booking of the tag titles means the IC belt is permanently being merged with the IWGP.
