ok great, but again, I was in Mexico and US media blew H1N1 out of proportion as they tend to do everything. Not making this political or blaming Science.

All I know is my whole family was in Mexico at the exact spot that H1N1 was supposedly happening and nobody was effected, no masks, no empty streets, nothing. Believe me or not but I am sure other US tourists can vouch for this. Could this be entirely different? Sure, but I know what I saw from Mexico. H1N1 right during Spring Break when people would flock to Cancun, right during Tax Season. Had I not been in Mexico and seen it for myself I would have believed about the sick people and empty streets too. Again this may be entirely different but for the moment it feels like we are living in a giant episode of South Park #cancel2020

The collective just posted that all of their Mania week shows are going to go down as planned unless they are forced to shut down. Good on them. A decade or so ago my family went to Mexico. This was for 2 weeks, During our stay was when the Swine Flu supposedly hit. The only US Station we had was a new channel CNN I believe. Well they kept showing the Playa Del Carmen/Cancun area which is where we staying. They were showing people wearing masks and making it seem like the streets were barren. I can tell you that this was not the case. Nobody wore masks, nobody was sick, everything was fine. Now the 2nd week we were there was different. The tourists didn't come in as they were afraid based off of US news. The streets were empty but not due to sickness due to fear. My whole family made it home safely and didn't see one sick person in the 2 weeks were there. Now put this into perspective, our trip was in early April. Right around tax return season. What time of year is it now? Tax return season. Lets keep people from flying and keep them in their home country spending money here. It also seems that these huge viruses always come around during election year. Think about how many people are on here or are your facebook or twitter friends. Does anyone you know happen to know anyone that contracted this or any other huge virus? Probably not. Look at what fear and the media is doing not just here in the US but to the world. It's pretty scary.

I would bet $$$ Saudi would let him run it there. This is exactly the show they want and this is their chance to get it. Saudimania

Looking back at it I see your point with this. They have had 2 world champions and both are former WWE guys (WWE Champs at that) when they could have went with Darby or Page as champion. I feel that Darby will be an eventual champion and when it happens the pop will be epic. Hard to find a face that appeals to both kids and adults in 2020. Darby is that guy.

AEW came in and has literally done everything Vince and family promised to do. They give the fans what they want. Last night's show couldn't have been any better. Great work from all involved.

it makes sense from Bray's standpoint I agree but why would Cena randomly come back to beat him again? Essentially what does Cena have to gain from a storyline purpose for being gone for over a year just to challenge a guy he's already beaten?

almost has to be Fiend-Cena title. Cena coming back for that title record makes sense. If Goldberg already beats the Fiend Cena would really have nothing to accomplish, where as if the Fiend is still unbeaten and champion it makes storyline sense for Cena to come back. Otherwise you can have Cena popping up on SDL saying "I'm Next" mic drop and he walks out.

Was an incredible show. Really thought the battle royal was fun, bit predictable to go back with the Bucks but it works. Moxley and Cobb was a fun match as well. Would love to see Cobb stick around. Darby's return was booked well. If AEW gets a secondary singles title put it on Darby and feud him with Sammy = instant $$. Wardlow and Cody put on a show. Wardlow's first major TV match, main event, first AEW cage match and he didn't miss a beat. Sky's the limit for him. Glad to see Arn not turning but we all know it's coming. Likely at the ppv to give MJF the win and keep the feud going and the nuclear heat on MJF. AEW books consistently good TV. The production is incredible, and they build to the next week in a way that WWE used to do during mid 90's Raws but has failed to really do since. AEW gives you a reason to be in front of your TV at 8 every Wednesday night.

every single wrestling company to ever exist has been known to piss money away. Punk having his first major interview in years on that show had to be pricey. I'm sure Conrad knew this and made some of if not all of his money back. A good promoter who used to frequent this board once told me "don't become a promoter if you want to make money"

true on all accounts. Plus they run them in places that these guys already have been to. Maybe if he were to wait and run in say Toronto, or Montreal, maybe Pittsburgh or Cleveland, he can get a huge crowd. We never have huge conventions in Pittsburgh or Buffalo really and these are big wrestling cities. I actually ordered the Starrcast pack on Fite which included the previous casts and I honestly wasn't that impressed. Most of the stories had already been told in shoot interviews. Hell even the CM Punk interview/ppv wasn't very telling. He said that if Vince or HHH wanted to talk all they had to do was call him. Nothing ever really came of it. To even have that as a seperate ppv was a money grab as it led many to believe he would be appearing at AEW that same night.
