  1. I suppose most people will have Flair vs. Colon in the top 3 of disc 1 and Pastores vs. Youngbloods in the bottom 3 of disc 1, except that much will depend on personal preferences, experiences and mood when watching the matches. Examples: - I have not seen much 80ies wrestling period, so Flair vs. Dusty and Flair vs. lower ranked wrestler was fresh to me which is why Flair vs Dusty and Flair vs. Gilbert is relatively high up the list. - I am still having problems accepting that the faces take so much of the matches which is why I have ranked the second Colon vs. Abby match, even though it was entertaining (Abby took three flip bumps) very low, as the match consisted of Colon beating up and squashing Abby for 15 minutes without hardly any heel offense.
  2. And the money distribution is changed HEAVILY in favor of the big clubs.
  3. It is funny that to win gold 1.97 m was enough while in the heptathlon two athletes passed 1.98 m. The lowlight of track'n'field was the 800 m women's run. How Semenya and Wambui pass as women is beyond me. I have never heard Wambui talk but Semenya even has a voice like a man.
  4. Rio gave out lots and lots of comps, problem is people still did not show up. For example they gave out 280k free tickets for children and not even half of them showed up. Another funny thing is that 7% of people that buy tickets at the door don't enter the respective statiums but apparently only use them to enter the Olympic Park.
  5. The US women will get a rerun tonight and have to beat the time of China to qualify for the finals.
  6. What the hell is doing Tyson Gay in Rio? 4 years ago the relay got disqualified due to him doping and now he is nominated again? Okay, he is now much slower than he was before being banned, so I assume he is clean(er), but still. I mean it is not like he qualified at the trials.
  7. Funny that they went away from the old point system to the ten point to get rid of these obviously bought decisions (at least that was the official reasoning).
  8. Apparently there was a much worse decision yesterday in the heavyweight gold medal bout between a Russian and a Kazakh.
  9. I watched about 5 bouts of greco-roman today and it was the most boring thing (except dressage) I have seen in the Olympics. Each bout was like a six-minute-long sumo bout (or like watching Randy Couture pushing a guy to the cage for six minutes, which I guess makes sense as Couture was a greco guy).
  10. My favorite is: Have they done *any* installation testing? I am working in QA in really small software projects (like 6-8 SW developers, 2-3 SW testers) but missing such a thing would never happen for us. I mean the most basic installation tests you are doing is installing the SW on a clean system and see if it starts (using aumatic tools as manual installation tests are really tedious).
  11. 4 of the 5 fastest runs of all time happend in that run and all 4 were faster than the Olympic record.
  12. Or to put it differently: will the same people that booed Yefimova also boo Gatlin? The world record in the 10.000 m yesterday is also one in the category hard-to-believe. If you are 15 s faster than a world record that held for 23 s years without contention that was set by someone who probably took every illegal substance there was you are (almost?) too good to be true.
  13. Funny reaction by Hello Games regarding bug issues (from gamespot.com): Yeah, hiring a QA team AFTER the release will improve the quality of your software, sure. (well, it might help with regression testing, but not for a couple of months until the new team knows what they are doing)
  14. Kenya already has their next doping scandal: the sprinting coach posed as an athlete and giving the urine sample in his stead. The Kenya delegation claims that the coach just used the accreditation to get free meals and when he was stopped for a urine sample he gave it out of fear what would happen otherwise.
  15. The referee in the match also did the instructions for Metallik in Spanish.
  16. I would go for decathlon as to win there you have to combine very diverse disciplines. Of course that might be local bias (the biggest decathlon event outside of Olympic games and world championships take place in a neighbouring town).
  17. Yeah, if there were 17 gold medals to be won per games in Biathlon or cross-country Bjoerndalen or Daehli also would be in the 15-25 gold medal range. Though I am not sure I would agree with track'n'field remark. Unless you are a sprinter (which nowayday means you can win 3 medals) there are usually no athletes that compete in more than two events.
  18. Ever heard of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krisztina_Egerszegi ?
  19. Venus did not look well yesterday in the singles. That probably had something to do with that.
  20. Today the course is wet due to a couple of drops of rain and the leading Dutch cycler had a horrible crash.
  21. So the little girl here is supposed to be an Olympic athlete:
  22. The course was really nice, but the descent was something else. I don't want to think what would have happened if there was some rain.
  23. The arena looks pretty empty even though all tickets were sold. The scalpers have to be sitting on a lot of tickets.
  24. Austrian Olympic coverage is more horrible than ever, especially compared to neighbours Germany and Switzerland. 1.5 channels and no live streams even though the official broadcasters offers six of them. Sadly the German and Swiss TV geoblocks them and I am too cheap for VPNs. And now a couple of hours in the Austria TV chooses to show boxing which interests literally no one here (expect the guy doing the commentary).
