  1. What was the Cyborg Zombie Nazi idea again that stunned Vince into silence? Was that the deal where someone supposedly proposed giving someone a cryogenically frozen/defrosted Nazi gimmick - with a Jewish manager (Paul Heyman, irrc)? The sad part was it might have made it to TV if they'd suggested the Nazi have a three foot penis. Wasn't the cryogenically frozen Nazi idea the plan for Heidenreich?and Kenzo Suzuki was supposed to be Hirohito, a decendant of Emperor Hirohito I would love to know whose ideas those were because they both sound like something Russo would come up with and be mocked endlessly for. I don't remember if a writer ever took credit for it, but I think Paul Heyman was the one who first told the story, using it as an example of the kind of outside the box thinking the the current TV lacks (in whatever year that was). I know someone dropped who it was specifically and I swear it was an older guy who had some legit credits to his name.
  2. Russo was actually talking about how he would have booked the Mega-Powers story line. Curt is appalled. I was thinking of the one in the middle
  3. Am I alone in think Mr. Hardy should not be walking around with his shirt off on televsion?
  4. She was given a look in June this year according to her Wikipedia page. Given their massive abundance of talent at the moment, why bother? Is there something specific she could add? I know it doesn't mean much in wrestling, but she has already retired once due to injuries.
  5. I wonder if this is the female "idiot" WCW employee Bobby complained about on various shoot interviews. If I recall, the woman in question worked in the WCW offices. Now that you say that, yeah, it was an office person. Still, as a video professional, the level of unprofessional "duh" I see in this gif is staggering.

  7. Same thing happened at Wrestlemania. They can't pee during the show though, so I can't blame them. I just saw the pic from SS of JBL, Cole, and Lawler with the Dews and I just couldn't picture any of them actually ever drinking stuffing instead of potatoes. Lawler at least had the bottle open, but I was not buying JBL or Cole ever even trying stuffing instead of potatoes looking at that picture of them with the Dew bottles. I'm sure everyone on the announce team has pissed in a bottle under the desk at least once. Edit: I'm just going to leave in the boards changes.
  8. Question for anyone who saw SummerSlam 2015, did anyone on the announce team actually drink the Mountain Dew?
  9. I always remember a story someone told on here from Chris Candido, it went something like, Candido was wrestling Johnson who lifted him up in a suplex than dropped Candido right on his head. Candido said 'Accidents happen' and let it go. The next night, Ahmed did it again so Candido went backstage and cursed out Johnson to whomever was in charge. So Johnson caught wind of this and came after Candido, talking about how he was gonna kick his ass and Candido said something along the lines of "Look, you're a big guy and you could definitely kick my ass in a real fight. But this is fake fighting, and as far as fake fighting goes, you suck." Supposedly they became friends afterwards. That's very cool.
  10. Just cause I'm listening to him on Austin and because the look was cool, here's Vampiro.
  11. I think most people would conisder making several times their salary for several months worth of work that don't require any sort of insane physical punishment.
  12. Why has no body dumped a truckload of money in front of Brock to play a movie villain? There's probably a dozen Marvel roles he was built for alone. Let's see, Beast, Juggernaut, Cable, Venom/Eddie Brock, Wonderman, TV Incredible Hulk ala Lou Ferrigno, Strong Guy, Colossus, The Thing, Abomination, Rhino, Sabretooth, Deathlok, Manthing, and Hercules just to name a few. On DC there's Lobo, Bane, Solomon Grundy, Killer Croc, and any of the Gorillas. Warner Brothers should sign him to a three picture deal and promote the heck out of it. I'm sure Brock would love getting paid even more to do safer "fake shit".
  13. The story as i know it is that Vince talked to the police. If he lied, pretty sure that's a crime, and if it was obstruction on a murder investigation, you better believe some people would want to stick that on Vince. It's potentially obstruction of justice, but the statute of limitations ran out 30 years ago. I'm not a lawyer, but doesn't all that not go away because it's related to a murder case? I mean I really doubt they'd go after it because it's a 30 year old crime, but it's Vince.

  15. Listening to it now, she's not THAT arrogant. But she definitely seems to grade herself on the Diva curve. And I winced when she said that Torrie freakin' Wilson was one of her in-ring influences.Austin seems oddly subdued and glib in this one. He's not hitting her with any tough questions, it's all softballs and obvious stuff. You really think Kelly Kelly has an opinion on things like Stan Hansen and Jushin Liger as a worker?
  16. He is a big fan of the Indies and japan, I dont think we wants to get on TV. I think he wants to run shows once a month and fly guys in like PWG. I think he is fanscinated the the bookin aspect of wrestling thats why i say he should try to get a job in NXT and work with there creative team. In fact he played a small part in Uhaa getting signed How do you become broke in wrestling? Start a wrestling organization.
  17. When has Hogan done anything that was purely for the good of business? I'm really drawing a blank here and I'm sure it's something obvious but....either he got lucky (being vinces guy) or he politicized into situations where it only looks like what he did was best for business (nwo). He dropped belts to go promote Hogan the brand, he made no one in his career, and was in some way responsible for the demise of two wrestling organizations.
  18. Valentine and Garvin were guys i just thought were a waste of space as a kid. Then in my 20s i saw them have what i thought was a **** blow away match in the WWF of all places and I've refused to think they're just total garbage ever since.
  19. I am waiting for Trump's WWE appearances to become political news fodder. Listening to Bryan and Vinny, they mentioned something about the WWE calling their independent contractors employees on television. I know you can make all sorts of legal arguments about it being a tv show, but is there any way that could be used against the WWE involving their lawsuits over such issues?
  20. Feel bad right up to the point where you realize he is a millionaire with great healthcare insurance and the only thing that's stopping him from changing it is his willingness to. He probably doesn't give a crap about.
  21. Re Dunn I've shot video over the years and the weirdest thing about Dunn to me is his lack of any other work. His imbd is only WWE related. Nothing else. You would think he might have worked on something else in the last 30 years but nope.
  22. Didn't Buddy Rogers invent the cool heel gimmick? I mean he wasn't considered a cool heel in that time period, but wasn't the character a cocky rich guy who could talk the talk and then walk the walk and didn't mind telling the fans as such? I have seen very scant amounts of footage of the man, but from what I have, it seemed like he was driving a Ferrari while everyone else was in a Model-T. In the limited footage of Buddy Rogers that we have, you don't really see him doing anything that would make people cheer him at all. The idea of a cool heel is not having a cool gimmick, it's wrestling and acting in such a way that makes fans want to do things other than boo you. Kevin Steen on the indies was a cool heel, because he would say clever things, or do cool moves, or wink at the audience. Kevin Owens (for the most part) has not been a cool heel because he has backed off from confrontation and stalled repeatedly, while being a general dick. Some people still cheer him, but that can't be helped. I think of it more like the Rock, where as we know he's the bad guy, but deep in their hearts, the fans wish they were as cool as him.
  23. I know he's not popular anymore, but seeing as it's my birthday and I'm reflecting back on the years, if it wasn't for this guy in the 80's, I wouldn't give a damn about wrestling. So for that, I do thank him.

  25. Should we start a dream indy booking thread for Hogan. I want my rematch with Bundy and Hogan vs Liger. Speaking of Hogan doing weird bookings, does anyone have a link to the Hogan in Mexico stuff?
