If that's the match I'm thinking of (the one with the Head and Head & Shoulders finish) then it leads me to this: KOTR '98 is probably the worst PPV I actually owned on VHS. Outside of the obvious car wreck spots, it was a total trash show and a great example of how terrible Attitude Era PPVs could be. Owen/X-Pac is the only thing really resembling a good match but even then the best part of it was when Vader tackled Mark Henry so hard he bounced off him like a pinball.

I think Vince is definitely a wrestling fan. I also think he's spent his life escalating the gaga of wrestling to such a degree that me can't see the forest for the trees anymore. It's like it's his fix: regular wrestling just doesn't do it for him anymore, man. Still a baffling move. She was just barely avoiding boos being teamed with them by the end of their NXT run and even that was a Herculean task for two guys who were already way, way over. Then they call her up without any momentum and ditch her on SDL to go solo. I remember someone on the DVDVR twitter noting how silent the crowd got every time Mella arrived. And now she's champ, which is a testament to... something.

One of the best parts about Tessa is that she's only 23, so she could make her name in Impact for another 5 years and still be in her prime for a WWE run (if she wanted to). It's the same point somebody made about Velveteen Dream: they're great now and there's a lot left to go.

I'd be into a Trish match at this. Hell, I'd be into a short return run from Trish. A match at Evolution, maybe win the Rumble and challenge Ronda at Wrestlemania if they want to hold off on Charlotte/Rousey for another year.

My personal opinion is that Alexa has a great heel persona but can’t wrestle like one. She should probably wrestle like an underdog babyface but as we saw in NXT, that didn’t work too well. If she can pull off a Rock-like turn it would probably help a lot.

Really good show. Both women's matches were good (that division is so strong considering it's so shallow) and the spotfest matches had great spots. Penta/Sami could've gone home a couple of moves earlier but overall worked well and had a great payoff. Really solid main event to cap things off too, even though I was surprised Aries won so handily as well. I'm very ready for new storylines now and it'll be fun to see how they can build off this success.

I knew someone had seen Heroes of Wrestling! And of course it's Raz. Road Wild 1998. My friends really wanted to see Jay Leno wrestler for some reason. Outside of Juvy/Jericho and Misterio/Psicosis it was a slog.

Whoa, someone got hurt in a Teddy Hart match? What are the odds... Stoked for this show, maybe more than I thought I'd be. Allie/Tessa and the street fight are the matches I'm most excited about but any match could steal the show. Should be an interesting night.

Kaitlyn came and went during my break from wrestling so it will cool to see her for the first time. Stoked to see Rhea Ripley back cause she has huge potential and it'll be interesting see how much she's advanced off screen (same for Taynara Conti is she's in it too). So excited to see how Meiko does as she's my favorite female wrestler. I'm being realistic and thinking she loses in the semis to the eventual winner (Io or Storm) but I would pay many dollars to see a Satomura/Baszler title match if it's in the cards.

Sanity/New Day is such an easy rivalry to do I'm surprised it took them this long. That should be a dynamite match too. It's fun seeing Team Hell No together again if only because you know Daniel and Glen are having fun doing it. But again, I'm looking forward to their match with the Bludgeons, so that's two for two. Becky's on a streak which is great but the rest of women's division is lagging hard. Eddie's right, Asuka should be murderizing Ellsworth and Carmella at the same time. They're booking her like she's confounded by the dumbest heel tactics which makes her look really stupid. And the Iconics do nothing for me so far. Not sure about Miz losing to Jeff Hardy, but it's a real whatevs at this point.

Yeah, night 2 was way better. EC3/Dream vs Ricochet/Black was my MOTN. I love how little Velveteen Dream cares about looking cool.
