  1. Definitely a strong finish but man it felt like the timing on all the sting and Malakai stuff was way off. Took me out for a minute, which is disappointing because Stinger always adds to matches.
  2. Think the Sting and HoB shenanigans brought down the coffin match and that the straight up brawl they had a couple weeks ago was better. Was awesome up to the bullshit tho. Darby is incredible. Here's hoping King can have good matches with somebody other than Darby.
  3. Holy fucking shit that post match angle was FANTASTIC. Octopus got his money's worth on that pop alone. Ross sounded sincerely enthusiastic for the first time I can remember in ages. Awesome opener and main event. Tornado was a bit sloppy but fun and effective. Thought most everything in the middle was a massive drop off and just stunk. That happens too often lately, hot opener, boring middle section, good main event.
  4. Jimmy Hart says Warner owns around 100 WCW songs, almost assuredly including Saturn and Raven's themes, some theme songs/tv show themes and a lot of unused ones.
  5. That was a pretty average match and pretty much the only disappointing one I can think of from Mox the past few months. They would need a massive match that isn't in the works yet to do the heavy lifting in selling the ppv if this is the direction they go.
  6. I feel like I'll love it but not be able to appreciate it to its fullest without the context leading up to it, same as I do Duggan/DiBiase with all the stips.
  7. Pretty much the perfect match. The psychology and selling is off the charts. I like one of the Sting/Vader matches and '91 WarGames on that level too but we're just talking Steamboat. '92 WarGames with Steamboat should be in the conversation for best Steamboat matches tho. It's not top 5, probably not even top 10 but I always dug the Tenryu/Steamboat match from AJPW in '84. Same with the Luger sprint from GAB '89. I'm ashamed (uh oh lol) to say that I've never seen the Slaughter/Kernodle vs. Steamboat/Youngblood cage match. Is it as good as the hype? I always wanted to watch it in context of the feud so I kept putting it off.
  8. I had somehow not seen the Rude/Steamboat iron man match until last year and it is one of the best WCW matches in history. Love that to bits.
  9. Feel like there are levels here. She's done well when her boundaries are pushed a bit and almost always overdelivers but she is not in the position to go 15 minutes I think.
  10. I've been talking to my friends about this. Nobody else is really available unless maybe Danielson? Meltzer said they think/hope Omega is back for All Out, but that would be a stupid way to reintroduce him. Punk seemed to be in a lot of pain at comic con and that's just traveling and walking around/standing. I doubt he's back so I expect some sort of fuckery tonight and a rematch at the ppv. Yuck. Hope I'm wrong.
  11. Damn thing double posted on me. Guess while I'm here, Khan refuted the idea that PPVs are going to two nights.
  12. Yeah, I really appreciate the philosophical dive you went here but this is what I'm getting at. If Khan doesn't feel the slightest bit of shame in how things are going with the women's division, then it's unlikely things will change. Shame is destructive, reformative, and can lead to creation. I don't enjoy riding billionaire dink but I do like that Khan generally learns lessons from mistakes. This is one area in which if lessons are being learned they're going at a molasses pace.
  13. Tony Khan should be ashamed of the women's division getting 1.5 matches per week on television. That is fucked up.
  14. Why did you have to remind me of my darkest time? They at least brought in Slim J to keep the train moving.
  15. And btw I fucking love AEW. I just wish it did some things better, the women's division is a serious one for me and many others.
  16. Let's fucking gooo! On paper this is a helluva show to hit up.
  17. @Octopusyou said you're going to this, right? Have fun! Will we see you singing Judas?
  18. Apologies if this has already been posted. Thoughts? I am all for shorter pay per views because the crowd burnout really brings my enjoyment of shows down many notches. However, I don't want to pay $400 a year on AEW ppvs. They also just had Punk rag on WWE for this earlier in the year. Mixed feelings but if handled well, I'll be happy. Get the same amount or more people on PPVs so fewer hurt feelings and also make the shows tighter beginning to end.
  19. I think Miro is already twice the wrestler Wardlow ever will be. And ten times the promo. And I like Wardlow a lot but he's been a whole lot of nothing since the MJF feud. Whatever is going to happen with ROH the sooner it happens the better. This shit is def small time feeling on AEW tv. I am down on the booking this year and this is probably the least jazzed I've been on the company but then my friend just sent me a screenshot of Ibushi saying he's going to be making three appearances for AEW and also shit on the booking lol. Is this true?! Yes it is! Fuck yes! Let's fucking go! Tony don't fuck this up! Is his shoulder magically healed or is he doing this up Orndorff style?
  20. And Brown is great if not a little inconsistent.
  21. So if the Nets basically try to wait this out until a desperate team pays up close to what they want (and the price will of course drop from what they wanted), Durant is going to stay at home and not get paid? It would be a mess but it's probably better long term than a knee jerk reaction to sell now is it not? Teams would still probably try to outbid each other. The Celtics trade looks good rn.
  22. For somebody so positive you sure are petty. Anyway, in more important news: He also posted a selfie of him wearing a Starlight Kid shirt.
  23. Huh, I thought I saw Carl mention moved aren't an issue and that it's parts that can cause memory crashes and freezes. Good to know.
  24. Saw pics on twitter and was surprised. Was so happy to see Kyona at the show and across the ring from Rina no less.
  25. As much as I'm bummed that neither Shirai or Banks will be solving AEW's women division woes, I feel like if Gargano re-signs with WWE then it'll definitely take the sting off of those misses.
