  1. Did she turn it down, or did they pick Trump instead? If it's the former, then I wonder what her reason was. If it's the latter, then that is just dumb. In my opinion, Cyndi did far more for the WWE during the MTV era than Trump ever could. At least as far as viewers go. How much of it was on her, and how much of it was on Hogan, Mr T, and let's give some of that credit to Captain Lou, is anyone's guess. Nonetheless, she was definitely a contributor. You're killing me here. Trump has a big network show and is in the news all the time. Much bigger Q factor than Lauper. The HOF is a nostalgia-engine, PR Tool, carrot to offer older legends to keep them compliant. I actually think it's a little crazy they didn't put Stacy in when she was with Clooney just on the off chance he might show up to see her go in.Okay, i reached a bit when I said "...than Trump ever could." Still begs the question, how much influence did she have putting the WWF out there during the MTV era? Could Thunderlips and Clubber Lang have done it alone? Perhaps.

Separate, but relevant question: Did her video with the Captain for "Girls Wanna Have Fun" come out before her WWF run, or during her WWF run? I feel like I should know this.
  3. One day in his last season Brady will get clobbered and carted off a la Favre and I can only imagine how amazing a day that will be for the internet. The memes will be AMAZING. Not a meme, but oh well... Here's a story, of a man named Brady, Who was busy getting his ass owned, Two anchormen, alleged "roughing the passer", Cause, they knew he was boned.
  4. That sound you heard about 10 to 12 minutes ago was Urban lighting a firecracker in his teams ass.
  5. I get the urge, but losing a talented player in a 4 point game for the national title just to make a point?Holy fuck! He just went full Winston. With the way the Buckeyes are playing the second half, I'm not sure if that would matter. I think Meyer forgot to tell them to stop dropping the ball. Exhibit A: Your second sentence.
  6. Yeah that was pretty dumb on his part. It may not be the wisest decision, but as the coach, not only would I give him an ass chewing but I'd be tempted to sit him out for a series or two. I guess that's why I'm not a coach.
  7. Don't worry Burgundy, I still got your back. Granted, it took Detroit and Carolina to lose, but...
  8. So, I was born at 5:59 am on this date 40 years ago. At 6:00, this happened. It was at the Husky Energy Refinery Plant in Lima, Ohio. The ISO Cracker exploded. I live in Wapakoneta, 15 miles away, and it sounded like standing next to a train wreck and felt like an Earthquake. It was felt as far away ( if not further) as Jackson Center, 24 miles away. The sound you are hearing is the explosion, ongoing. So, why did I put it here? Because the evacuation was a success. No injuries or deaths involved. Also, I mentioned the first sentence, because on a personal level, this is something that will not be soon forgotten about. Happening on such a minute, hour, and day as this.
  9. No lie, when I first read this yesterday, I thought it said "meathead". I guess it's better than "methhead".
  10. Something seems familiar with this, but I can't quite place my finger on it. Meanwhile, let me get in my Hyundai and go order some B-Dubs. Then when I get home, I'll give it some thought while I check on my Allstate insurance and watch some DVRed Smackdown on my Vizio. I hope I can get you the answer.
  11. What sick bastard designs a potty that is two buildings away? Talk about company cutbacks.
  12. "At Nord Motor Company, you crash on car. At Ford Motor Company, car crash on you. Know the difference!!!"
  13. https://archive.org/details/softwarelibrary_msdos_games/v2 Over 2000 MS-DOS games on the internet, including Oregon Trail. Get your dysentery on, bitches!!
  14. ...because I have no shame and a reputation of being dead wrong, to uphold. You watch, Jameis will get his act straight and become one of the greatest QB's of his generation.
  15. Yeah, I've done the WD-40 thing. It just doesn't do a whole lot of good when you wake up the next day and realized you locked the car and forgot you left the only can you have on the passenger seat. Whoopsie!! I ended up walking to the nearest store and picked up 3 more cans. I sure as hell could have used the key heating idea that day. To be fair, it was dark when I got off of work and it was along tiring day.
  16. Liking this due to your suggestion on heating the car key with a cigarette lighter. That is one of those, "why didn't I think of that before" moments.
  17. I think many may be over hyping Hogan's creative control use. Not because he's a righteous and moral fella, but mainly due to all the jock sniffers he had around. He didn't need to pull that card.
  18. Thanks AxB. I have heard the Beatles version of A Little Help. It just never occurred to me that was Ringo.
  19. Maybe the question should be, what NFL team(s) *don't* have fans on here?
  20. I started being a Dolphin fan when I was 4. I started liking the Jaguars back in '07 when I moved there. I felt kinda cool to be able to support the local team. If that is what is called as a "homer", then count guilty as charged. I still am a Dolphins fan. I just don't say much due to the amount of support already on here.
  21. Okay Ebbie, how about your Barrett to Lawler's Divas. Is that attainable? Oh Shit, that may be worse. o.O
  22. Nah, every group of friends has a "The Beatles are so overrated you guys" person. It's not really that, at least not completely. I just never got into them. I'm pretty indifferent when it comes to the Beatles. *raises hand* me too I know the performers names. Even Pete Best. I know most of their mainstream music, I know a decent portion of their individual music. Except Ringo Starr. Did he ever release an album? Hell, has anyone ever heard him sing? Anyway. In spite of all of this* the bottom line is that I never bought an album. As the Fab Four, Wings, or in any other form. I never had the desire.
  23. Oh lordy! I'm just thinking of Ebbie's Barrett to JR's Austin. I can only imagine it being nothing less than awesome.
  24. Pretty much my order of likeness. 1.) Carolina 2.) Indy 3.) Seattle 4.) Denver 5.) Green Bay 6.) New England 7.) Dallas 9.) Baltimore Now that I am looking at my list, it's kind of weird how it goes NFC, AFC, NFC, etc. Also, something weird about me picking Indy so high, since I'm a Jags fan.
  25. Yeah, I mean, shit! At least throw some dark matches on during the commercial/recap segments. I just had a revelation. I have not been to a RAW since August 9, 1999. Never been to a SD, and the last PPV I was at, was KOTR "02. The last one where Lesner won it over RVD. Not really much of a point behind my revelation, Just a bit jarring on how long ago it has been.
