Just finished night 2, and I just loved loved loved ZSJ v. Tanahashi. Probably means nothing in the long run Zack working the leg and Tana working the arm just worked for me. Also Kelly pointing out that you really really don’t want to go hold for hold with Zack really rings true, but would also only be true in Japan.

I’m halfway through night 2, just finished the Kingston match. It’s funny, I’m far more invested in the young dudes (Musketeers / War Dogs) than the established dudes. Was real impressed by Gabe Kidd and Tsuji. Thought Umino and Narita looked the best against each other than I’ve ever seen. I’m sure Kingston is having a blast, but it’ll be fun to see him against a non-bruiser to get him out of his comfort zone. not sure if I’m crazy about 4 blocks — it’s more of a knockout stage than a true round robin tournament, which I think is the point. I get it, but maybe it’s losing something of the spirit.

Also Cam Whitmore looks awesome. Amen looked awesome before injury. Tari Eason looks like a steal.
