One final thought going from getting a Roddy main event to finding I'm actually getting an Athena main event is one of the most night and day emotional flips ever -
Just got home for me the match of the night was the trios match, Darby and Wayne handling the workrate portions, Stings final match in California, some great chicanery from Christian refusing to engage with TAFKA Edge and Luchasaurus chokeslaming Darby STRAIGHT TO HELL (the ring apron) and Ric Flair to remind everyone that Gorgeous George died a penniless alcoholic (history doesn't repeat but it does rhyme) Agreed that a guy who'd been all over AEW being a bombshell signing is a bit lackluster, bruv ROOOSH was just LOUNGING on the outside between his spots Hangman v Swerve was an insane spectacle, I told the fellas behind me and I'll tell you CHECKOUT THE PRISONER OF WAR MATCH FROM LUCHA UNDERGROUND it was actually crazier. They turned on the video screens so we could get an up close and personal look at the carnage I felt the Jets v Bucks was a bit of a wet fart. I don't buy the bucks being 417lbs I will never understand the insane popularity of Adam Cole People where yelling ADDDDDDAAAAAAMMMM all night like metal heads yelling SLAYYYYYYYERRRRRR!!! Now the crowd was pretty burned out by the main but I have to say hats off to MJF and King Switch for getting them back into it for the final stretch. Surprised no Devil reveal I enjoyed my 5 hours of wrestling and i enjoyed my broken skull American lager

I wrongly assumed the mainstream rise of UFC would of really helped amateur wrestling but instead we have BJJ schools on every corner -

He's been coming out of the Giant Anus since his return to TV I believe. I rewatched the first two matches cause I missed the CJ promo (I thought they went to commercial and I WAS GETTING SOME RELIEF!) Noticed they didn't shoot above floor level. Tony got a big chant before they went live and Aubrey got a chant during commercial break. Big "We want Rhonda/ NO we don't" chants during the ROH match -

First some bad news. AEW's ticket woes are real. I had a ticket for the 200 section and was given a ticket for the 100 section even so I had most of my row to myself lots of empty seats facing the hard camera side and pockets of empty seats on the floor. Now in fairness the US of A runs on east coast time and this show had a bell time 4:30 on a Friday. even so it does feel like AEW needs to recalibrate what they are doing live event wise. We'll see if the attendance is better on Saturday Now a wise move was featuring so much Asian and Hispanic talent given the market. ROOOSH was crazy over, Danny Garcia was loved, Yuta got dueling "lets go Yuta / Yuta sucks" chants. And Penta in LA feels like what it must have been like to see Hogan in MSG in the 80's (he should have got the win in the four way, TNT match would have had way more heat) Roddy got dropped right on his face and it didn't feel like and angle with Stephan immediately stopped what looked like a cover by AA, I was wondering if they cut away cause I could see on camera on the commentators Best match was the @Mattd special Serpentico vs Jack Cartwheel which was being filmed so who knows if it airs somewhere. other dark match was Sonico getting his back broke by Hobbs One thing about this Ruby angles is they literally just ran it with Max and Max -
Best live experiences watching wrestling.

One time four guys all wore ref shirts and wildly cheered everytime a ref would come to the ring at an indy show I went to -
Vinnette played before of Athena and Billie making an open challenge and Marina making a phone call after that not sure if it was a one time thing being in LA though

I don’t know if this person is getting signed tomorrow but holy shit at who showed In ROH

It's 2023 everyone smokes week especially dudes from rural areas like Virgina I feel like this Timeless Toni stuff is being booked to appeal to foot fetishes Good on Big Paul for giving the rub to Hobbs even though that spot may have been ill advised -

Tony Khan being The Devil to get the title off Max before "The Bidding War of 2024" would make a sort of sence but I don't think TK wants to be seen a heel -
I felt it was a strong promo by Dalton that could be used for character building if they feel like doing something with him other just be a guy who shows up to lose here and there
-
Swerve might be getting cheered over Hangman, and I'd prefer two tags to the fourway clusterfuck
-
This is like a weird mash up of PN News and "How do you do fellow kids"

6 if the week has a BOTB or a Zero Hour before a PPV I used to watch The Road To... packages that where done on youtube before the TV shows always well done and got me excited for the matches. But they seem to have vanished. I have long been an advocate of shorten some of the match times to give the ofter storytelling elements a chance to breath (such as that great Dalton Castle post match that aired on twitter)

In a shocking surprise to no one Tony Khan has a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT for the PPV

That hogan promo sounds like when he tried to talk “street” after joining the Wolfpack -
I would imagine that AAA doesn't want their champion doing a bunch of jobs. I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Drake being one of the guys who goes 1-4 or 0-5
