There's nothing unusual about that. The face wins every direct physical confrontation, but the heel wins when it counts, due to interference. The upcoming match just tells us if they think Kaytlin can carry the belt and be interesting, or if they want to line up another Face to chase AJ. If they bury Kaytlin at the PPV, that isn't necessarily bad booking. It just means she was booked to fail. She wouldn't be the first midcard Face to fail to defeat a heel that they were running with as title holder. In fact, I would rather see that because Kaytlin is boring and AJ is not. I would still like AJ's comeupance to be the entire roster coming at her, and she insanely charges into them because she's a madman.

Sadly it will just be a chance for Cena to do the noble thing and not grab the pin.

I was fine with that. Sadly, most of the match The Shield showed themselves to have been solidified as heels who can only threaten, but not really hurt, the true top Faces. So, like so many scrubs before them, they were just a minor distraction to what the actual guys were doing. It's never a good sign when the Faces are so busy fighting each-other that they barely have time to bother swatting you away. So I was happy to see them get a little heat back?
