  1. If you really are struggling, just go ahead and skip to Season 3. Seriously. You'll see why, if you haven't already been told. Got through it- it was tough,a complete mess of a season. Starting season 3 now.
  2. Ive watched the first 6eps of Brooklyn Nine Nine and thought it was only fair, barely laughed at any of it. Does it get better? Also, struggling through s2 of Friday Night Lights, its a bit of a chore but Santiago, Saracen and Riggins have been highlights.
  3. My problem with her character in FNL is that, even though she is incredibly hot,any time she comes on screen all I think is "oh what does this cheater/hussy want". Its a storyline and part of her character that worked a bit TOO well in my opinion because she is really really annoying.
  4. Have no idea how to upload a pic from my phone but WWE magazine over here (Ireland) has Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns on the cover and the tag line of "Who will be the next champion?" EDIT: I thought WWE magazine was shutting down?
  5. Started season 2 of Friday Night Lights last night and I can already tell its gonna be a chore to get through.
  6. Friday Night Lights keeps on bringing the feels first off and then Coach tries to kill me off by I dont think ive ever been this attached to characters in a show.
  7. Saracen might be my favorite character in any show ever. Riggins is great too. Saracen definitely has some all time awesome moments. He's so one note, which felt like a limitation of the actor, but it turned into him actually playing THAT KID many of us knew in school. Quiet. Meek. Lacking in self confidence. Seeing his character grow and mature throughout the show, including how he broke down into tears in front of Coach, was a real treat. You rarely see character growth like that. It's up there with Jesse and Walt's journey from Breaking Bad. All this Friday Night Lights talk got me looking on Ebay for a "Clear Eyes" shirt or something similar. And my search turned up the companion book, which I didn't know existed. I ordered a copy this morning. I have a feeling I'll be binge watching the show again before too much longer. Gonna order it myself. Im on the back end of S1 now, cannot stop watching.
  8. Up to episode 12 of FNL season 1, was afraid by episode 8 that I cared about no one but Coach but now theres very few characters I don't care about. Saracen, Smash and Jason Street im all interested in but above all else I want everything to go right for Riggins. Everything.
  9. The whole team just visited Street in the hospital. The room here got a little dusty. This show is fantastic!
  10. Yeah, what Greggulator said. You'll also have to ignore the nonsense that the show pulls with the characters' ages. The first season of FNL is the absolute peak of TV drama. Just incredible stuff. And spot on with the mention of the "best married couple" comment. Two characters that love each other, are supportive*, aren't screwing around on each other but are sometimes miffed at each other. Really well-nuanced and balanced. Seriously though, if not for The West Wing, this would probably be my #1 show of all-time. * - my one gripe is that Coach T's wife at times acts like she's never been a coach's wife before instead of the 15 years they've actually been married. She'll seemingly randomly out-of-nowhere seem puzzled by the hours he puts into his job, as if she's never experienced it before. Heads up lady: I coached high school football in Colorado, not Texas, and not even as the varsity head coach and *I* worked 100+ hours a week during the season. Ok ive watched the first 3eps back to back and this is a great show. The scene with the sprints on the hill in the rain was fucking AWESOME. I hope there's more moments like this (?) Kyle Chandler is great. So far, so good. EDIT; god damn I hate Buddy Garrity
  11. Thanks guys, FNL it is then. Ill keep you updated
  12. Been watching a lot of TV lately (out of work with an injury) heres some random thoughts; Luther- think there was a bit of debate about this show a while back (FSW and a few others maybe?) Anyway I enjoyed it immensely. Id rank season 1 as one of my favourite seasons of TV ever, its full of plotholes but really enjoyable. Srason 2 was ok but Ripley being tortured and showing up next episode with nothing wrong was where it started to slide for me. Idris Elba is fantastic in it but he's written like the WWE writers write Cena. Fargo- Amazing. Great camerawork, great acting, great characters. Billy Bob Thornton is great, cant stand Colin Hanks. Martin Freemans character gets more and more deplorable as the season goes. Just an awful person. Bob Odenkirk is great in it too. Bates Motel-gave up after 4 episodes, feels like they tried to cram too much in. Good acting by the 2 leads though. My options for the next thing to watch are as follows; Justified series 2-4 Boardwalk Empire 3&4 Friday Night Lights Masters of Sex Mad Men 3-6 House of Cards S2 All opinions are warmly welcomed thanks for reading my waffle.
  13. Enjoyed the show, didn't expect to watch all of it but kind of glad I did. Tag match was good fun, Cesaro/Sheamus was great just two hosses throwing bombs. Henry losing was kind of baffling. The IC title match was overshadowed by the awful commentary scenario. I thought Orton/Y2J was very good bar the ending you could see a mile off. Ambrose is the man, simple as. Will have to watch Cena/Lesnar again as I was very tired but my main problem with it was this; when Lesnars in the ring he brings a sense of reality to a match it goes from "these two guys are putting on a great match with moves and story telling" to "Lesnar is gonna kill this guy, look at all the strikes/suplexes/submissions" he almost brings a shoot fight element and to his credit Cena added to it last night but then Rollins comes out and just wrecks it and turns it back into typical WWE booking clusterfuckery, I don't think the finish hurts Brock but it just ruined a bit of the aura his matches obtain. Rollins should just retire tomorrow night before Lesnar shows up, he got to hit his finisher on the baddest motherfucker on the roster with no repercussions.
  14. Watching WWE Vintage over here in the UK and they had Big Show vs HHH on RAW for the WWF title in January 2000 and when HHH wins, Big Show just gets up after the 1,2,3 and walks away no selling or anything. Anyone know if he caught heat for it back then or anything? EDIT;Also, hope Taker is ok.
  15. The Shield documentary was great but it has only increased my need for a 3 disc set of their best matches. I really really hope they dont overlook Ambrose when they're pushing Reigns to the moon.
  16. Jesus, he just flat out murdered him it was great to see but at the same time I couldn't believe I was seeing it. Who do you book as strong as that to take the title off of Brock??

    2014 G1 Climax

Have to wholeheartedly agree with this point, im new to puro at this stage and to be honest the G1 tournament is the first time I've watched puro in bulk. But ive noticed throughout the tournament that every match follows the exact same layout and it makes watching 3-4 matches in a row a bit of a chore, now im not knocking the style or layout of matches in a single match capacity (im after becoming a huge fan of puro thanks to this tournament) but cant help but feel changing up some of the match layouts would liven up the tournament format. That said, the tournament gave us some fantastic matches,Styles/Suzuki was fucking awesome and definitely one of the matches of the year.

    2014 G1 Climax

Is Suzuki/Okada from Night 10(?) worth a look, can anyone tell me?? Thanks in advance. Final night looks stacked.
  19. I dont know if it falls under bad booking, or they weren't expecting the reaction they got or the fact that it messed up long term plans but Jericho beating HHH for the WWF title in 2000 and then having to hand the belt back later on was always bullshit to me. They couldve at least called an audible during the show to keep the belt on Jericho for a few weeks.
  20. Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated.
  21. Can anyone recommend me some good matches from Japan involving Okada, Tanahashi, Suzuki, Ishii and others if possible? I have been watching the G1 tournament and im hooked. EDIT: Probably should mention I haven't watched much puro outside of the G1 Thanks
  22. Not a big Japan guy, but I can't say enough nice things about the Japan forum here. They were very cool about answering my FMW questions so they might be able to help get you started (which, I unfortunately stopped watching around the time the Network popped off). Thanks man
  23. Can anyone recommend me some good matches from Japan involving Okada, Tanahashi, Suzuki, Ishii and others if possible?? Have watched some of the G1 tournament and im hooked. Thanks
