  1. How long do you guys think he would've lasted in WWE if he had accepted their offer? I give him a month before the old timers tell him to GTFO.
  2. It's really sad to think about how many wrestlers from the mid 80s - early 90s died young. I can't imagine what was flowing in the locker room during that period. Such a sad situation.
  3. I brought this up in the WrestleMania thread but it might be worth discussing here: What if WWE transitioned Taker into an out of the ring role and had him reform The Ministry to take on Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family? The back and forth between Taker and Bray would be epic and Taker can mostly just appear on the tron so he wouldn't even need to travel.
  4. The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt could be an entertaining feud. Just have Taker reform The Ministry of Darkness to feud with The Wyatt Family. Hell, you could keep Taker out of the ring and just have he and Bray cut promos on each other before letting their minions fight.
  5. She deserves credit for sticking with the business for 10 years?
  6. Might be smart for him to take some time off, let the dust settle and come back without the spotlight being elsewhere. He's really where Hulk Hogan was in 1993. He doesn't fit with the new style. Too bad Cena isn't mainstream famous enough to get a "Thunder in Paradise" style show to keep him away from the business for a little while. I honestly think that WWE has reached the point where Cena leaving for a while wouldn't affect business.
  7. It's really weird to think that Bryan Danielson is essentially the Steve Austin/Hulk Hogan of this coming boom period. Not sure if anyone called that. Then again, not sure if anyone predicted that Stunning Steve Austin would lead a boom period. It'll be interesting to see where John Cena fits into the picture going forward.
  8. Can Vince go ahead and just offer Jarrett a deal? I'm not sure where he'd fit into current WWE but at least it would spare us the horror of his attempts at promoting.
  9. He was the first victim of Wrestler Concussion Syndrome.
  10. Random thought here but, didn't Brock Lesnar leave WWE in 2004 partially because he didn't want to be fed to The Undertaker? To come back from that and end the streak is amazing. Lesnar leaving in 2004 turned out to be a genius personal decision for him.
  11. There was some kind of Aces & Eights battle royal that I don't remember the purpose of but I do remember Christy Hemme announcing it as being scheduled for one fall. Still more knowledgeable than Vince Russo. But, does Hemme know how to overcharge $98.00 for Rochelle, Rochelle? She convinced WWE to pay her $250,000 for winning the Diva Search. That's the biggest con game ever pulled.

  13. She's been in the business for 9 years, maybe she's picked something up.
  14. Both from 2001: Chris Jericho's first promo as Undisputed Champion Vince McMahon buys WCW
  15. WWE Network on your PS1 sometime down the line. I never get tired at this. I wonder if Meltz has any info on the Dreamcast release. Been waiting a while for that one.
  16. There's also this: https://twitter.com/JohnCena/status/18389462540 Maybe Cena is just a big fan? He did grow up in the Northeast and does seem to be acting as a Bob Backlund style babyface.
  17. Maybe the "promotion" will just be a TEW diary written by Jarrett. Explains why he's proud of having a large database.
  18. It's a shame that Mr. America disappeared off the face of the Earth, such a talented youngster with a bright future. I can only hope that he and Zach Gowen are tearing up the indy circuit in the Heartland.
  19. The saddest thing is that Bobby Heenan has been virtually unavailable to make guest appearances on WWE TV. It's sad to imagine what Heenan could've done as a RAW guest host or even a guest commentator.
  20. WWE is making me really want to get the Network. If I weren't making two moves in the next 4 months, I would seriously consider it.
  21. I still remember watching ROH in high school and seeing Punk, Joe and Danielson tear things up. It's sad that only two out of the three went on to hold WWE gold while the third is lost in the vortex of TNA's bad booking.
  22. These posts are making me regret not buying the network.
  23. I try to bring my best legal analysis. .......I need a hobby.
  24. Did Sanchez use the associated arm motions? The MSU thing did and I assume that WWE's case would hinge on that. It might also depend on whether or not Sanchez ever trademarked it or marketed it in any way. WWE has and actually relies on it to generate revenue. IP Law is complex, but it's likely that Bryan (or more likely WWE) would be the party to whom damages would be owed. Sanchez's claim is also lessened by the fact that Travis Jackson (the player who led the chant) cited Daniel Bryan as his source material. I have no particular issue with this, I just thought it would be an interesting issue to analyze.
  25. Under trademark law, if WWE could prove that Michigan State was appropriating the expression of "Yes!" that they trademarked then they would be entitled to royalties (and potential damages). The Michigan State shirts refer to the "Yes Yes Yes" chant at Breslin that utilized Bryan's mannerisms and style of saying the word. You can't trademark words per se, but you can trademark the expression of those words. Of course, SUING would be bad for WWE since it's basically free publicity but if people start associating the "Yes" chant with Michigan State then WWE might have actual damages.
