It also feels like the rematch is just something to keep Page/Cole busy until the respective Hangman/Punk and Cole/Omega feuds.

The initial reason for the title shot was Adam Cole was ranked #1 and undefeated. Hangman beat Cole at Revolution and shook his hand and was done with him, but Cole wouldn't go away, stole the belt, and was generally being a prick. So now Hangman no longer has to show Cole any respect and is going to put him in his place with a Texas Deathmatch, something he has some experience with after that brutal match with Archer.

Also, one other small thing I loved in this show. During Caster/Joe when The Acclaimed go to do their littler scissor thing in the corner, usually Max is yucking it up and playing to the hard cam but this time he kept his eyes on Joe the entire time, because he knew the second he turned his back on Joe, Joe was gonna kill him.

Danielson started to corpse when Regal said he was "off his nut" and then the raining blood line pushed him over the edge. It was beautiful. As an American Blackpool absolutely sounds like the name of a tough guy town, mostly because I've always associated it with Regal and he's a tough guy. When I found out it was a beach town with Ferris wheels and bumper cars that also completely made sense as well. Because Regal is a carny. I've rewatched FTR/Briscoes twice now and FTR/Bucks II once. What a run these guys are on right now. Babyface FTR is a revelation.

Bummer the "West Coast Tour" is just 2 shows in SoCal. Would love to see them make it up to the Northwest. All this talk on TV about Piper in Portland, I'd love to see MJF come here to get booed out of the building, or a Darby/Danielson homecoming show in Seattle.

I absolutely adored Tony Schiavone being all of us the first time we saw Keith Lee wrestle. His enthusiasm and wonder was so evident in that call.

Punk/Mox vs FTR was some good ass tag wrestling. The main event was a nice violent sprint. ABBY'S FORK IS ALL ELITE! I can't wait for Keith Lee to win the ladder match at Revolution and then yeet Sammy into outer space.
