  1. I think early in the first season he had conversations with the two kids. They'd ask him questions and stuff.
  2. Watching Freaks n Geeks w Mrs. Drew right now. We're enjoying it. She was pissed when she say there was only one season...
  3. I kept thinking Rusev might end up in the Real Americans when Cesaro turns face. Him or Leo Kruger...
  4. My buddy usually has the "WHY ARE THEY DOOOOING THIS" reaction to most "dumb" WWE choices. The Dragon stuff is just on a whole other level though. I could MAYBE suspend belief that there is some sort of plan and they have something for the main of WM with Bryan, but I doubt it. But to add to the above comment, I too noticed negative comments from workers (not just Foley) and just found it, well almost alarming. I think we all agree that WWE isn't in any danger of having crowds the size of TNA house show events anytime soon because of the lack of Daniel Bryan, but there has to be SOMETHING? Or are we just being hopefull. How different would this be is DB was a dick like Punk and stood up for himself like Austin pretty much implied he needed to be doing. Also, Cena has been said to be the new HHH backstage, meaning his buddies get the shine. I wonder if Cena has lobbied for or against Bryan. The two of them could make some money at WM based on their summerslam match. Cena says he wants his shot at bryan again, the ONLY GUY TO CLEANLY BEAT HIM in forever. Ugh, forget fantasy booking. I would think, if only for business reasons, Cena would be lobbying HARD for Bryan. A program with those two, a real one, would be box office. I've heard more that Cena pushes for his guys rather than pushing against others. I'm sure he's intervened for Big E. and Roman Reigns, but it's hard to imagine him actively burying guys he doesn't like. Except Ken Kennedy and well, fuck him.
  5. I didn't mean it like that at all. If that's how it came off, then I fucked up.
  6. It thrills my overworked heart to know that Dewey Fuckin' Foley turned into the kind of smarky smark that made his dad a household name...
  7. Someone called this what it was in an earlier post; adversarial booking. Vince, HHH, and the rest of the Titan Team want one thing, & the fans want another. Interested to see what the fans do tomorrow.
  8. Almost literally nothing. Publicly executing the loser?
  9. When a crowd as traditionally quiet as Pittsburgh is taking a giant, steaming shit on your product, it might be time to listen.
  10. Final Predictions: Longest time in the Rumble: CM Punk. An hour or thereabouts. #2 Entry: Goldust Most eliminations: Roman Reigns-11. Shortest Match Time: Fandango. Less than 30 sec. Final Four: Reigns, Langston, Batista, Bryan. Final Two: Batista & Bryan Winner: Bryan
  11. I enjoyed the translator gags, but i'm easily amused.
  12. Ryder's not a bad worker. I think his character (or lack thereof) limits him to the degree that he can't show anything. He's a good athlete with decent timing.
  13. For celebs, I got Jon bon Jovi, Dr. Seuss, Mel Ott, Mikhail Gorbachev, Karen Carpenter, Daniel Craig, Bryce Dallas Howard. Wrestlers, I got Debra and Lance Cade. Pretty weak.
  14. Gotta wonder how some of those comments will go over...
  15. This year, it'd be adding some doubt as to who's winning. I guess it depends on what your expectation for the event is. If you look at it as a coronation for the "it" guy for that year's Wrestlemania, then this year's sets up fine. But the Rumble, when it's right, can be a vessel used to tell myriad stories during one match. This lineup w thirty guys isn't gonna tell many stories at all.
  16. Until they explicitly say Bryan isn't in the Rumble, or until all 30 men have entered and he wasn't one of them, I won't believe he isn't in the Rumble.
  17. They should've stayed w 40 once they made the change...
  18. A smarky crowd like this one is bound to be will crap all over a Batista win. So now I'm almost positive it's going to happen...
  19. Anyone think Heyman's gonna double-cross Lesnar for Big Show again?
  20. Daniel Bryan reportedly medically cleared. Doubt he wrestles tonight, but should be good to go for the Rumble...
  21. I have the final six as shield/Langston/Bryan/Batista. Rollins & Reigns are trying to eliminate Langston, & Ambrose dumps all 3 of them over. Reigns & Ambrose have the stare-down until Batista eliminates Ambrose. Ambrose & Reigns almost come to blows at ringside while Rollins tries to separate them. Batista & Bryan are the final two. Bryan gets the "underdog elimination" on Batista and wins the Rumble. The "Yes" chants echo into the night, and Triple H appears at the top of the ramp with a pissed look on his face.
  22. As a former college athlete, to me it reads as there having been a problem @ Texas in the past w guys missing a week for truly minor stuff. Every athlete, deep down, knows the difference between "hurt"and "injured." I highly doubt that guys are gonna be made to practice w torn muscles or fractured bones. Just like I doubt a kid is gonna have to run for missing class if he's really sick. It sounds like the kids at Texas got a little soft and entitled. These rules are meant to break that trend...
  23. Someone suggested in another thread having a show on the WWE network where old-timers just sat around shooting the doo-doo and playing cards. If Steve Austin isn't perfect for the host of that show, idk who is...
  24. Someone better fill his ass in. Stuff like that doesn't happen every day...
