  1. Only if he is going to the Finals. Which he should. I'd love to see him vs Ishii, Tanahashi, Okada, pretty much anyone. Him mauling Yujiro would even be entertaining.
  2. Aaron Henare is probably out due to a lingering neck injury. This G1 might be rough if they don't put some jrs in. You're looking at guys like Yujiro, Makabe, Tenzan, etc having to pick up the slack for Jay White, Will Ospreay, and Juice Robinson.
  3. I'm guessing Henare, Khan and Owens are in. If it weren't for BOTSJ in December I'd say put in the Jr champion. They'd be better served moving Hiromu to G1 in the short term but they seem to have a match with Desperado planned. I expect Despy to win BOTSJ and challenge Hiromu, who'll beat Eagles before then, on 1/4. No other interesting options sadly. Unless they can get a Daniel Bryan type/Big name, who in theory could have a visa from working WWE/Japan, then it'll have to be a veteran. I imagine that would turn off casual fans but it can't be helped.
  4. I'm guessing a jr tag title match will be added to one of the nights since they just had the Jr tag league end and didn't announce anything. Could see Sho vs Yoh get added since they won't have anything to do during the G1, might as well do it now unless they are facing off in BOTSJ.
  5. Any inkling from anyone on if they are doing champion vs champion at Survivor Series this year? Would they run Reigns vs Lashley, heel vs heel?
  6. If Goldberg wins Saturday he will be the oldest WWE Champion ever, beating out Vince McMahon.
  7. I'm shocked none of them have made a parody of Shawshank yet. Crawling through shit to freedom. It's such low hanging fruit it's on the ground!
  8. Welcome to half of their cards in 2021. Most of Bullet Club is awful.
  9. I can't see Hiromu in this or any juniors. I'd expect Tenzan in before any juniors. If they do the limited schedule like last year where you only wrestle your nine matches then it's feasible we see some older guys get a run.
  10. Was it worth going out of the way for? I have fairly minimal expectations for it, given Jerry's health.
  11. Not yet. I think NEW shows usually end up on highspots though. I just saw clips from Twitter.
  12. We were discussing on discord, what are the best casket matches of all time in response to nZo vs Jerry Lawler in a casket match from NEW. So I pose it to the board, gimme your best casket match recommendations. Sasuke-Shinzaki from M Pro this year was also very fun.
  13. Yeah, I just would have no interest in watching a Jado/Chase Owens team and having to see Wato try to look serious vs Great Bash Heel. I'm sure the two remaining jr tag league matches will be fine. Can anytime confirm that the ticket prices for shows has sky rocketed in Japan this past year?
  14. That is a bleak looking card. Not sure what they can do but ride it out.
  15. Sugiura vs Tanaka is one of the best matches of the year. Check it out. Sugiura is on another level. Tanaka tries to match him. Kashin at least entertained me in his "win" over King Tany. Smushing Taniguchi's face with the plexiglass and his frantic run at the 19 count to the ring while he was in the upper deck cracked me up. It should have been Kinya Okada though. The commentators mentioning Kashin's 2005 BotASJ tourney win brought back memories I didn't want to revisit of Dragon Soldier B.
  16. John Wayne Murdoch-Sadika 2 from ICW NHB 17 was crazier than the first match. Sadika is entertainingly reckless.
  17. If true, that's dysfunctional to the core. I guess we'll see if their beliefs carry over going forward. The current fan base for NXT might stick around, for some there is only what WWE presents.
  18. Was the highest profile match for the cruiserweight title the Alexander-Murphy match from the Australia super show? Without checking I think any major show like Wrestlemania relegated it to the pre show.
  19. How much longer until 205 just stops getting mentioned? I'm shocked they haven't decided to scrap it and the cruiserweight title. It doesn't seem to serve a purpose anymore if they don't want to hire smaller wrestlers.
  20. I imagine Yano wins since the fans have voted for his stipulations every match before. Didn't they already do a Texas strap match anyways?
  21. It's funny because just last year for AJPW's Real World Tag League there was Team ECW comprised of Masato Tanaka and Tajiri. The nostalgia for ECW world wide still exists.
  22. I mean, at least Lashley is a good wrestler. ED-209 should be labeled Jaxson Ryker.
