I've had a couple minor injuries from working out in the last couple years. That, combined with turning 45 this week, has made me take my warmups more seriously. Like you, I hated them, too. But the sad fact is that I really need them now. So far, it's been good for me. I feel better when I'm finished lifting.

I worked as a tv new photographer for over 15 years and it fucked my lower back up real nice. I've always had some sort of lower back issue, even on my best days, so I feel you @Contentious C. I've started doing this before every workout: https://squatuniversity.com/2018/06/21/the-mcgill-big-3-for-core-stability/ I feel like my core is considerably more stable and stronger on my squats and deadlifts. I've also been doing suitcase kettlebell carries and Pallof presses for additional core work in my workouts. Knock on wood, but since I've started this routine, my back has felt great. In general, I recommend a lot of what Squat University puts out. He's got a warm-up or exercise for pretty much any body part that may be bothering you.

I haven't watched any WWE at all in a couple years, but really enjoyed night 2. There was only one moment that really took me out of it. To me, it's a pretty unforgivable oversight. There is no way in hell any Scottsman or Irishman worth a damn would be caught dead drinking a Mike's Hard Lemonade. I'm sorry. I can't see it.

I do love that Snoop saw shit going south and thought, "I should probably just full-on punch Miz in the face."

My buddy I was watching with thought Finn bladed. I was like, 1. I don’t think they allow that and 2. If you were going to grant an exception, don’t waste it on the dude covered in black paint.

That’s a good point. I guess I was really looking at the WM main event as the “series finale” of a storyline. In reality, it hasn’t always been like that. Even the ultimate WM “babyface stands tall” moment in Hogan beating Andre was sort of a middle point in their feud.
-
True. But, my point is that a bad or disappointing (not saying that the Cody/Roman finish was either, but some feel that way) ending can sour even something great that came before it. I don’t mean that’s “correct” or the only way it can be, I just mean that it’s a thing that effects some people’s enjoyment of a work. I guess maybe this shouldn’t be viewed as an ending, though. The people putting this story together may have had no intention of that match being the culmination of it, I suppose. I think I’ve always thought of Wrestlemania as the “season finale” for WWE, when really it hasn’t been that for a while now.

It's sort of a Game of Thrones thing, though. Amazing, amazing, groundbreaking series that has a lot of ill will now because of the way it ended. That happens with wrestling shows, especially big ones where the main event is important. Even as someone who's been out on WWE for a while, I thought the main event was damn near perfect up until the finish. It's not that I'm particularly invested in Cody winning, it's just that the match itself was structured in such a way that Cody winning made the most sense. I won't comment on the storyline because I'm not familiar with it. I have seen a lot of you saying the story makes sense with Roman retaining, and I won't argue with that. It's just that, to me, the way the match was presented and laid out, a Cody win made the most sense for a satisfying conclusion.

Paradigm Pro does a lot of shoot-style, UWFi, Bloodsport-type stuff. Sometimes its a full card of matches like that, and sometimes they're mixed with other stuff. When it's mixed, it's a little jarring to see a match end on a backdrop driver knockout in the UWF-style bout, but then a dude take way worse stuff and continue in a "regular" match. When it's a full card of that style, I really dig it. But, it kind of needs to be its own self-contained world to really work.
-
Spring Break is worth it just for Vikingo/Bailey alone. That's going to be insane.
-
I always enjoy the Bloodsport shows. Even the matches that aren't all that great are at least interesting to watch. The style is different and unique enough, that it doesn't blend in with all of the other wrestling out there.

I do love a missed move where it looks like, if it would have hit, it might've killed the recipient.

Edie Falco's not in Goodfellas. I'm guessing you mean Lorraine Bracco.

Be nice, man. Liddy's a former poster here.

Previous winner was the "I really hate James Gunn/love Zack Snyder" guy.

Or Claudio (drools).

Push.

He's so perfect in that role that it blew my mind when I heard he'd auditioned for the part of Bubbles.

Also, Punk is/was probably the last guy, besides John Cena, that was going to hopefully move the needle for them. I honestly don't care to follow the ratings news, so please don't correct me if he didn't spike ratings or whatever. I'm talking about guys who's signing could generate buzz. I'm sure Punk didn't come cheap, so you've got this guy who you're paying a ton for and he's getting huge pops everywhere you go, so yeah, you put the title on him. I'm sure there were plenty of guys in the WWF locker room in 1984 that weren't happy that Vince Jr. was putting the belt on this muscled-up dude who couldn't hang in the ring the way someone like Backlund or Bockwinkel or Flair could, but that worked out great for the company. Now, I know that Punk not only didn't lead to that kind of success, and that the whole thing was pretty much a failure, but I think the logic of putting the belt on him was sound. That's my long way of saying that @Elsalvajeloco is right that it shouldn't come down to who's popular in the locker room.

That's an excellent point. It makes sense why some people would be very into his style, seeing as how he's inviting them in. I'm not putting any sort of judgement on those people. It just makes sense as to why some would be more passionate about Kenny's matches than others. Like I said before, I'm enjoying him more now after this recent run of fun tv matches. I'm still what you might call an Omega agnostic. I'm not all-in (no pun) on him, but I do look forward to seeing him. I, however, can't see myself getting emotionally invested in an Omega match like I might for maybe an Eddie Kingston match. He's just not going to draw that out of me, and I'm not sure he's really trying to.
-
I'd actually like to hear this. I'm not a huge Omega fan, but I've come to like him more lately and appreciate what he brings to the table. I feel like I'm finally seeing the in-match storytelling that I'd heard about with him, but had never been able to parse since I hadn't seen much of him, really. He is a bit go-go-go for my tastes, but I rarely see moments where hes no-selling. Basically, I went from someone who was neutral at best on Omega, but now find myself enjoying him.

I've only caught a brief video clip of the Mox podcast on Renee's instagram, but it seems everyone is sleeping on the biggest news: Mox is wearing a fucking Ahmed Johnson t-shirt!

I agree with all of this, but I think, in a perfect world, you have him at least briefly feud with the Elite when he first comes back. Not doing that is just leaving money on the table. After that, you cycle him into the role you're describing there.

I was listening to Mann on a podcast a while back and he was talking about the book. He happened to mention that he had Hanna being from Herrin, IL. I grew up right next to Herrin, and my dad worked there. It's not the tiniest town around there, but not one of the "bigger" ones either. Such an odd choice.
