Elsalvajeloco Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 I probably won't go as far as @DreamBroken did in our picks contest by picking Weili Zhang to upset Jessica Andrade, but I think at the very least, she will give an admirable performance. 1
DreamBroken Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Tough to call but should be a fun one. I was 100% confident in Andrade beating Rose last time around, but this one feels like more of a tossup to me. I think of Andrade's last several performances and start to reconsider, but I'll stick with Zhang looking impressive and the upset here. 1
Execproducer Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 First two fights have really set a nice pace for this card. One of the rare times I get to watch live. 1
Execproducer Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 That spin kick was about an inch away from being lethal. 1
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 Khadis Ibragimov's style is spastic rock em, sock em robot meets person high on meth. 1
Execproducer Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 That submission was like something that could only work in a martial arts class where the sensei is demonstrating on one of his students at 25% speed. 1
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 After going on that run in CES, Andre Soukhamthath has looked like one of the most average fighters ever. Didn't expect him to go 2-5 in the UFC. That's a shame. 1
Execproducer Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Very entertaining undercard. Stoked for the main.
Execproducer Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Mizuki is on a mission to land the perfect right cross.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 It's a damn shame MIZUKI is at flyweight now because it feels like we've been circling her fighting Alexa Grasso since both were in Invicta. Before MIZUKI got riddled with injuries and Grasso moved up to the UFC, that would have been an absolute barnburner. 3
Execproducer Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 (edited) Sloppy exhausted like two heavyweights at the end Song-Krantz was still a fun fight. This card is delivering. Edited August 31, 2019 by Execproducer
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 Krantz isn't a bad fighter, but if Song Kenan gets that tired fighting someone like Derrick Krantz (imo a high level regional fighter/fringe level UFC fighter), it's going to be rough sledding as the competition gets tougher. 1
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 (edited) A couple years back, I joked about Jingliang Li being the UFC's star in mainland China. However, he's genuinely over in front of this crowd. It's a good win too over a solid opponent too. Edited August 31, 2019 by Elsalvajeloco
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 By the way, it's ironic that they show the Khabib-McGregor stuff from 229 last year and then FF to this show where Jingliang Li jumps out of the cage after stopping Elizeu Zaleski only to be met by a wall of UFC security. Looks like they shored that problem up.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 HOLY FUCKING SHITTTTTTTTTT NEW CHAMP!!!!!!!!!! I tried to tell you. 3
