  1. Haven't ever watched the shield, but The Wire is a show that is the ultimate slow burn. You have to watch the first season at least to appreciate it. . .
  2. As someone who is neutral on the Buc's I was hoping for a new color update on bucco bruce, but this seems nice enough. . . .
  3. They might be thinking they can absorb him into their culture, kinda like they did with stephenson. But this an the Bynum deal are risks, and you have to take risks for a ring. Not saying it should or will payoff, but you have to give them credit for trying to make themselves better. . . .
  4. They are going for the title, no doubt about it. . . .
  5. Please excuse my ignorance, but was Hennig/Gilbert a big tag team back in the day? Would have loved a Rude/Hennig team(heenan family, even if they never were a team) Great tourny by the way. . . you rock RIPPA!
  6. The Cavs picked up a shiny rock and said it was gold. Maybe they found that gem coated gold turd that Roger crapped out in AMerican Dad. . .
  7. You might have the Red Sox at play there too, and perhaps they can get Theo drunk to involves the Cubs. . . lol
  8. That's 5 players who killed someone, one who probably did or at the very least covered one up (RayRay), and one who probably did but hasn't been charged (Marvin). That doesn't even begin to count all the raping (Darren Sharper, holla!), drug dealing, assaulting, stealing, DUI'ing, or dog fighting. How many guys in the NHL/MLB/NBA - combined - have killed somebody? The ones off the top of my head are ugueth Urbina, Carl Mays(killed ray chapman with a pitch) and Ty Cobb(if you believe the stories). Now I know there are more, but that's the ones I can think of in over a 100 years. . . .
  9. Eddy in IT is going to be getting a lot of weird calls. I see what you did there. Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
  10. Melo's biggest problem is that he is not good enough to be the best player on a championship team, but there aren't enough people better than him to make him the second best player on the championship team. He would probably be the best second banana of all time, except unless he plays in Miami, OK City, or the Clippers, he can't be the second banana. He has to be the guy who handles the ball, and scores the most points on just about every other team. If he played on the Heat, they would be as close to unbeatable as any team in history. LeBron could handle the ball and set up the offense, Carmelo comes off screens and spots up, Bosh does his fill in all of the big guy gaps, while Wade gets in where he fits in, when and where he can. There is no way you could stop all of those guys every night. Scottie Pippin and James Worthy might have something to say about that. One might argue Stockton too, but he and Malone were attached at the hip, so it was really a 1a and 1b situation. . .
  11. It amazing that it peaked with the first show, not that it went down much after that. I mean come on, that blind black white supremacist gimmick isn't being topped in our lifetimes. . .
  12. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
  13. Yeah and if you believe it, I have some swamp land in Florida to sell you. . . .and a Nigerian prince to help with the financing.
  14. Yeah that makes sense. I'm in my mid thirties, which is just a shade to young to see most of them in the theaters. . . .
  15. As much as I enjoy movies like ghostbusters and other 1980's movies, its not like I can identify a lot jokes in them. Very entertaining, yes and I can watch most of them still, but the Beverly Hills cop movies? Its not like they are funny at all.
  16. No one else laughed or even chuckled at that! How?! The movie was sold out. That's 350 seats full and I'm the only one laughing. Come on parents, show your kids it's ok to laugh and just enjoy yourselves. I completely missed that one. . . .
  17. What part of do you not understand. Be a sport, that would be a cluster fuck of glorious, even epic proportions. . .
  18. Come on, is the LumberJacks really that bad of a name?
  19. I like a good gore match as anyone, but the ones with plates of glass or light bulbs send a chill down my spine. To each their own and all that. . . .
  20. Why Phoenix would be shocked is beyond me as Daniel Day Lewis was taking that trophy or the Academy was burning down. Disappointed, sure, but not surprised. . .
  21. Haven't seen wolf, but judging from his previous work, I'd say that rung is them all below Leo. . .
  22. I recorded the stupid thing because I was out of town for a while (it was my birthday) and got home about half way through the night. Zipped past most of the crap(the shooting stars, the music, anyhting by NIck " I will never go away" Cannon). Like the point guards thing, and the three point competition. Half watched the slam dunk first round, said "fuck this" and then deleted the rest. . .
