Somebody had to replace Carr.

My viewing has been randomly trying to catch up on certain films lately. Watched Alien: Covenant (2017) on one of the streaming services, as if I'm going to see Romulus before 2025. I liked it. Had heard loads of bad talk about the film, but it was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. I guess eventually I'll rewatch 3 and Resurrection, but they left such a negative impression on me originally that even though I've owned the Blu-Ray collection for years now, I still haven't gone back to them. Ordered Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) 4K from Amazon and surprisingly had it delivered on release day. Loved this one. It's not trying to be Fury Road and that's a good thing. Miller did a great job with the storytelling here. I wasn't familiar with Anya Taylor-Joy going in, but she was great. Chris Hemsworth really knows how to chew the scenery.

The Bee Gee's had gotten into the disco scene a couple years prior to SPLHCB and gave that style a shot in the arm. Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack released in '77, Staying Alive was '83, and they were still releasing Gold and Platinum albums into the early 90s. They didn't start to truly fall off chart wise until much later. A good 30 year run for a group is no small feat.

Greg Kihn was a rock Icon from Baltimore, Maryland. Some great tunes. R.I.P.

You can get away with one blatant wreck, but the second is a no-no.

Dadgum spoilers! That was on my "to watch" pile.

Raiders signed Nathan Peterman for 3rd string QB.

Good on her for all it's worth. It'd be great to see her take some chuds down a peg. But I have little faith in any system of justice these days.

It takes a special driver to be able to get me to empathize with Logano and Hamlin, but Dillon did just that. I noticed both wrecked drivers were guarded in their respective interviews after the race. Guess everyone has to walk on eggshells for Grampa Childress' favorite.

Square Pegs SJP is my first thought, always.

Even though I know he was from Arkansas, seeing Johnny Cash of Arkansas in print leaves me with a bad feeling.

It's easier to get a handjob from a centipede than to get an invite that works for the Discord. -
It'll happen, Jeff Fisher moonlights as the mall manager.

A comedy legend. What an iconic ending to a show. No way that gets done these days.

Well, that looks a nightmare to clean.

If you're into Italian exploitation, they're good. If not, YMMV. I dig the Fulci, Franco, and horror stuff. -
Loved Sikking in Hill Street Blues and the 1981(?) Sci-Fi/Western Outland w/Sean Connery.

I saw that news and went, "What The Fuck!?". My wife was in the other room and checked on me in case it was bad news. Never in a million years would I have picked this as a Criterion release, but here we are. -
Now would be a perfect time for Take-Two Interactive to stealth drop NCAA Football 2K25 for $39. But they're probably not driven by pettiness like me.

Glad the Preds got Stamkos off the table, as I had heard rumors the Kings were in play for him. Good pickup for the Preds, keeps the fans hoping that this might be the year.

Really surprised Cohen hasn't paid this off just to fuck up the holiday. Would totally be in his character.

I forgot to mention Red Letter Media did a +/-90 minute video on The Acolyte and the online culture clash surrounding the show. It's a long watch, but if you're into those Wisconsin reprobates it's worth your time.

Anytime I see Dwayne Johnson or Wahlberg in a flick it's like X-Pac heat for me.

There is a block of Gerry Anderson shows in the 2am Central range. I'm on the late night schedule to wind down at the moment and found them when I flipped over to antenna channels. Not sure if there's anything that isn't already available on other FAST channels or not.

The endings have a jilted feeling. Not the cliffhanger effect I think they want.. I am enjoying the show overall, though.
