  1. Either way, JJ is ecstatic with the proceedings...
  2. I apologize for the quality, it's the best I could do...taken from the new JCP doc:
  3. I suspect old Moondog knows EXACTLY how much alcohol he can buy with his $25K economic stimulus plan...also love that his inner monologue comes out, "You can't say colored."
  4. Yes...and by the way, ain't nothing more seedy looking than Gary friggin' Young doing a Fargo strut, grinding his crotch at the heel in front of the Sportatorium at 10% capacity...
  5. I love hearing Nash and Stone Cold talking about cheap road living...even being a millionaire.Austin: "Gentlemen's Breakfast, $29.95? That's a breakfast for the marks! I'm going next door to Denny's for $4.99!"
  6. Why in God's name did one episode have THREE Gorgeous Gary Young and El Grande Pistolero matches? Yee-gads.
  7. The original Beautiful Bobby...yikes. Super Destroyer Mark II
  8. Scott Hall talking about teaching Tommy WILDFAWR~! Rich about nutrition by getting him to switch to Bud Light... Steve quips, "You'd make a great life coach."
  9. What I like even better about this pic is that Sheik went into the HOF in 2005.
  10. Well I know what I need to track down, holy shit. I don't know if it's ever been around in full, but the show was definitely taped for TV, as Polynesian Pro Wrestling TV reran that Flair/ Afi main event constantly. There were some changes to the actual final card but it was still pretty darn loaded: Polynesian Hot Summer Night August 3, 1985 in Honolulu, HI Aloha Stadium drawing 12,553 1. NWA & WWF Jr. Heavyweight Champ The Cobra beat Superfly Tui. 2. Seiji Sakaguchi pinned Matt Borne. 3. Kengo Kimura & Tatsumi Fujinami beat The Hood (Johnny Mantell) and The Hood (Gene Lewis). 4. Jimmy Snuka pinned Mike Sharpe. 5. Manny Fernandez beat National Champ Black Bart via DQ. 6. Mighty Milo drew AWA Light Heavyweight Champ Steve Regal. 7. Debbie Combs beat Fallen Angel via DQ. 8. Farmer Boy Ipo & Leroy Brown beat Joel & Verne Deaton. 9. Little Kevin beat Pancho Boy. 10. Richie Magnett beat Gypsy Joe. 11. Andre the Giant, Angelo Mosca, & Steve Collins beat King Kong Bundy, Mark Lewin, & Kevin Sullivan via DQ. 13. Lars Anderson beat Bad News Allen to win the Polynesian Title. 14. Rocky & Ricky Johnson beat The Dirty White Boys to win the Polynesian Tag Title. 15. Antonio Inoki DCO Bruiser Brody. 16. NWA World Champ Ric Flair DDQ Siva Afi. I have Brody/Inoki, and the Andre/Bundy/Sullivan six man matches...pretty funny that the MATCH OF THE CENTURY! is below the halfway point of the poster....

  12. Go to the show and listen to Austin single handedly sell himself vs. a fly complete with pre-match, post-match interviews and color commentary during the bout. And it's by far more entertaining than 99% of what's been on WWE TV for the past 5 years.
  13. I hear you...but do you know how many crappy random matches were made watchable because of Jesse and Gorilla?
  14. It's really a shame that they didn't transition Austin to the broadcast booth...he'd be this century's version of Jesse Ventura
  15. Poor Ak, but man he was great. Youngblood sucked so bad. A German followed by a running punch and a crappy piledriver?
  16. I've never spent a more captivating, satisfying hour than listening to ol' Stone Cold talk about exfoliating body wash. Amazing.
