  1. I can't tell, so does FSW hate CM Punk? Just want to confirm.
  2. I'm new here but I like to admire pro wrestling! I'm currently watching The Road Warriors slaughter the Midnight Express to win the NWA tag-titles. Now that was a good piece of pro wrestling.
  3. For a guy with a boxer gimmick, Tarver threw some awful punches.
  4. No!!!! But my fantasy booking of Bane/Batman didn't work out so it's not!
  5. I just love that they don't even do anything over the top. It's not even a huge beatdown. The Andersons maul him a bit but the bulk of it is them holding Sting while Flair smacks the piss out of him a few times.
  6. They tried this briefly at the beginning of the brand split, but I think it was abandoned after not getting over so well. He ended up injured a couple of months later too as I recall. Are we entirely fucking done talking about Mick Foley yet? I remember Bradshaw becoming Stan Hansen lite. He won the hardcore title and put longhorns or something like that on it too.
  7. That spear looked pretty crappy. Looked more like a double-leg takedown.
  8. Flair is so awesome in that segment. Smacking him around. What a great heel move.
  9. So Mike Rotunda(o) going from Varsity Club jerk Captain to being an actual ship Captain?
  10. I'd say that's pretty much the best example. Another one I was thinking of but which may not fit the strictest definition is Austin going from super face Stone Cold to ultra whiny Austin. That was almost a 180 in character for him. Also, Angle going from cowardly comedy heel pre-No Way Out 2000 to super ass kicking "tap out or I will break your fucking ankle" Angle at No Way Out is another one.
  11. Flair's looking over at Jindrak and thinking to himself, "that's the most talented white boy I've ever seen". Points if you can remember where that line came from.
  12. Is Trips wearing a bandage on his head in that shot?
  13. I could've sworn D-Von was using his awesome Eyes of Rightessnous theme song. They have got to recycle that for someone at some point. The screencap preview of the "Eyes of Righteousness" make it look like D-Von is the dude who leaves those things in the restroom of Starbucks that look like $50 and $100 bills, only when you pick them up and unfold them, they're these religious tractlets that start off with, "Disappointed? Don't be, because you're far richer in the kingdom of Heaven than" blah blah still not $50-100 in my pocket blah. I used to bus tables at a restaurant when I was in high school and I remember a table of 15 Mormons came in. They were polite but racked up a gigantic bill and ran me and the waitress around for like an hour getting drinks, nacho refills, etc. The whole time we were thinking, "well, at least the tip will be worth it." After they left, we were cleaning the table and we saw what looked like a folded piece of paper with two $100 bills in it, along with a credit card and on the note it said, "Here's a tip..." The waitress unfolded it and it was one of those tracts with fake bills and the tract said, "Here's a tip...how to get to heaven, read the Book of Mormon blah blah blah". The actual tip they left was like $10 on a $150 or so bill. I remember the waitress just started bawling in the middle of the restaurant (thankfully it was close to closing time) and the manager felt so bad he gave her $40 or whatever out of his own pocket and let her go home. I didn't get any extra money or get to go home but the bartender at least let me drink in the bar for an hour or so after I finished bussing tables. Cool story bro.
  14. It's a mystery. A small change that no one sees.
  15. I could've sworn D-Von was using his awesome Eyes of Rightessnous theme song. They have got to recycle that for someone at some point.
  16. Going back to the LMS match with Jericho, he (Jericho) said they had another finish planned involving using both announce tables and they even had a big sign up next to the Gorilla Position saying, "STAY AWAY FROM THE ANNOUNCE TABLES". Chyna and Saturn accidently broke the announce table or did something to render it unstable so they came up with the backdrop suplex as a cover. I can't recall what the original finish was as I don't have his 2nd book in front of me though.
  17. Dude, I'm a huuuge Strohs fan. I can't get it where I live but I have friends here who are from places that do so whenever they travel home, I get them to bring me back a few 15 or 30 packs. If the apocolypse ever comes, I hope Strohs becomes currency because I'll be set.
  18. 0.13 Think that was WCW's lowest PPV buyrate ever. I was actually there! My friend and I won free tickets. The local radio station was doing a promo and I remember they had an interview with Konnan the day before the ppv. Nothing special, just the usual shill stuff. Don't remember much about the show except that Vampiro was pretty over (well as over as you can be with 4000 people or however many it was) and Steiner's return got a pretty big pop. The chokeslam that Wall did on Bigelow looked pretty funny b/c as my friend remarked, "don't you have to have a neck to be chokeslammed?" Looked more like a double-chin slam.
  19. Not a huge rap fan but always loved these two performances from MTV VMA's from years past

    The Cover Shtick

Faith No More covering Poker Face. Funnily enough, the cover was the first time I'd ever heard the song so I thought FNM had come out with some new material during their last tour.
  21. A couple of other good ones from JCP Road Warriors turn on Sting. They hit a nasty Doomsday Device on him The Horsemen break Dusty's leg in a cage Been wanting to find a youtube of the Warriors spiking Dusty in the eye but could only find his promo. This classic will have to suffice. Flair, Tully and Arn jump Morton and rub his nose in the concrete
  22. For nuclear cheap heat, there'd be a face getting beatdown, Real American would hit, play for a few seconds, then Cesaro/Swagger would come out to help the heel continue the beatdown.
  23. I wanted to find the versionw it the big red X over Beefcake's face but could only find the uncensored version.
  24. That Horsemen beatdown of Beefcake is one of my favorite beatdowns of all-time. Flair going nuts, Arn going biblical and paraphrasing The Untouchables, so much win. Oh and one of my favorite Flair lines, "you think that because you woke up one day, you became a bad man? You are so wrong."
  25. Yeah I think Taker was still somewhat aligned with Vince at the time. Taker was feuding with Rock for No Way Out and in the build up, chokeslammed/tombstoned Rock on his limo on SD. Flair got in his face about it on Raw and said he lost all respect for Taker after that. Taker laid out Flair on the next SD before No Way Out. Then Flair ended up costing Taker in his match with Rock, stopping him from using his lead pipe and eventually hitting Taker with it leading to the Rock Bottom. Then the next night, Taker challenged Flair for Mania but Flair said no so Taker beat up Arn and David and threatened to go after Flair's other kids until Flair accepted the challenge. That shower beatdown of David had to be some kind of rib on Bradshaw. Grizzled vet doing uncomfortable things to a young guy in the shower, blood everywhere. Sheesh.
