  1. I'm already looking forward to Dark Order building up Hangman again after this heel run.
  2. I hate how fast TK always makes matches official. I'm starting to think that he knows beforehand what the wrestlers will throw out.
  3. That video is clearly missing a statement from Brain Gremlin.
  4. Here I am, watching Royal Rumble once again, like every year. The only thing from WWE I still watch although I once again don't really know why. It's not like I hate watching it but it's, well, boring. I'm just interested to see how WWE is doing. Like seeing a long lost friend but after talking a few minutes you just know why you drifted apart and don't hang out anymore. I was bummed to see Asuka getting eliminated so unceremoniously and I thought Chelsea getting smashed by Nia and Piper was quite funny. I still really really really hate the way WWEs commentary sounds (the whole presentation feels) like a corporate AI wrote the script with maximum marketability as highest priority. The time between the end of the womens rumble and the start of the title fourway felt like an eternity. Really wasn't invested in the match because why would I? As if Reigns would loose the title. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are awesome. I sometimes think about just watching their stuff in WWE and skip everything else. Really bummed that Owens didn't enter the rumble and Zayn was eliminated way too early. This really isn't a WWE-only thing, but I hate all the obvious time-wasting, laying around and stupid pushing-each-other-around-the-turnbuckles. I get that booking a coherent match with so many wrestlers can/will be a nightmare but it feels like WWE just wants to push their statistics of who eliminated the most people (hence so many wrestlers doing nothing until they can all be eliminated by person x) and who stayed in the match the longest time. Everytime I hear the banger theme of Shinsuke Nakamura I think back to his awesome debut against Sami Zayn. Adrenaline in my soul, something something Cody Rhodes! I came to see a Kofi Kingston rescue spot. What the hell? Think of something. I don't care. If he's not fit enough to do something athletic then do something clever/funny. Pat McAfee-Spot was afwul. JD McDonagh looks like he activated a big-head-cheatcode. R-Truths hot tag was nice. I'm really drawing a blank here but did WWE always exclude wresters from other matches in the rumble? I feel like the rumble could have used some more star power and Styles, Orton, Knight, Paul and Owens are right there. Why wouldn't they enter the rumble? Although I'm fully out of the WWE loop so maybe there was enough star power here and I just don't know. Also, I haven't watched WWE for years and I still knew Cody or Punk were gonna win the rumble ... I think that's not good but I'm not sure, maybe it's just a case of the obvious choice is the right choice. So, Cody Rhodes never main evented a single PPV of AEW and now he wins the Royal Rumble and will be headlining WrestleMania for the second time in a row... does that mean that in kayfabe AEW is the better promotion? Tuning into the generic themes discussion: just give every theme some distinct opening sound. Like Bret Harts screeching for Natalya so the crowd can immediately go mild.
  5. Am I the only one who thinks current Hangman is a quite boring generic ass-kicking babyface? I get that you can't have him be the anxious millennial cowboy forever but his character really regressed from beeing nuanced and stereotype-questioning to I-wanna-punch-you-bland. And I still think that his story with Dark Ordner wasn't finished, ended far to abruptly and it's a terrible idea to have Dark Order be heels. It's a shame we haven't gotten a Hangman, Silver, Reynolds trios run yet. Guess I just have to wait for the downfall of Hangman and hopefully Dark Order pick him up once again.
  6. I just wanna see Hangman go back to Silver and Reynolds. He was about to kill and man and still lost to someone who broke into his home and threatened his child. Hangman needs to find himself and AEW hasn't been the same since they parted ways. Hangman-Swerve was great, but I really don't like Swerve winning this way. In general, I'd rather see the babyface win this kind of match, but if you let Swerve win, then let him without inteference by Cage. You shouldn't win a Texas Death Match by inteference. People intefering in Texas Death matches should be fired.
  7. I'm really sad to see Hangman ignore the real reason he wasn't happy after defeating Moxley in a Texas Death Match und and reuniting with his "friends" of the Elite - because he 's a shitty person that f*ing abandoned his real friends Uno, Silver and Reynolds. That wasn't cowboy shit, that was shit cowboy!
  8. I was really rooting for FTR Hair to finally nail the Bucks with that Springboard 450. Maybe next time.
  9. I for one am mighty happy to see some more Hangman and the Dark Order story continuation. Such a great story for such a long time and then AEW dropped everything once he won the title and completely forgot the whole core of Hangman's journey to the title was about finding real friends along the way. He just went back to the Bucks because why not.
  10. Yes! I'm all in for a Trent's Mom on a Forklift match.
  11. I like him and I skip everything he does on BTE.
  12. MJF & Goldberg vs. Darby & Sting vs. Sammy & Jericho vs. Jungle Boy & ... well ... we need WCW history ... so ... Jeff Jarrett!
  13. I'd really like to see a tag team run of Goldberg with MJF.
  14. That Omega-Orange-PAC match is one of the greatest matches of AEW and no one ever talks about it because it lacked drama and nobody believed the title would change hands anyways (although they pretty much made you believe in the match). I really don't like how AEW more and more forgets that wrestlers have friends who would come to their aid. BTE tried to bullshit their way out of it by saying Dark Order already left, but there's no good reason why Dark Order wouldn't save Hangman from the BCC. Why didn't Hayter (and Riho or Willow) help Britt? A run in from Keith Lee would have made sense too. Too many things seem to happen in a vacuum now. I miss the time when only Cody would have his only universe disconnected from everything else.
  15. I can't describe how much I disliked Dark Order not coming to help Hangman after Danielson said that nobody loves Hangman and would help him. Seriously?
  16. And I'd still buy them as a serious threat just because of their look and feel. Best jobbers you can wish for.
  17. I will be mighty dissapointed if they start with Hangmans reintegration into the Elite without ever really giving Hangman/Silver/Reynolds a big trios run. I'm totally fine with House of Black having the titles now, but I really wanted to see Hangman finish Moxley to then team up with Silver & Reynold to dethrone the Elite.
  18. Let's just hope that Khan does the right thing now and pushes Dark Order more.
  19. I just wanna see more of Hangman, Silver and Reynolds (with a little bit of Uno in the background) together. That's all the babyfaces I need.
  20. Royal Rumble remains the only WWE event I still somewhat partially like to watch, but man, I feel a little bit like the Malcolm in the Middle meme with Dewey expecting nothing from his birthdays and still getting dissapointed (main event and especially the aftermath was great, though). I hate how WWE always and always and always tries to put over nicknames of wrestler. Ring General, A-Lister, Harbinger of Doom, the Beast, the Almighty, Seth 'freakin Rollins, Mommy's home, the Glamazon, the Nigerian Giant, Monster of all Monsters and of course the American Nightmare... sigh. I really laughed at Rey Jr Jr struggling to tear apart Rey Jr's mask. Sheamus, Gargano, Miz and the ten chops, New Day teasing fighting each other and Logan Paul and Ricochet jumping were nice spots - not nearly enough of them and too much of come in, do your spots, waste time by gently pushing each other near the ropes. So much time wasted by wrestlers just hugging and laying in the background. So - much - time - wasted. Skipped everything until Asuka entered the womens rumble because Asuka is one of the greatest wrestlers around period. And, really, look no further than Asukas stint in the rumble too see how bad and uninteresting WWE is booking the rumble matches. She was in the match for thirty minutes and did absolutly nothing after her initial few moves up until eliminating Deville. Then she layed around again for a few minutes and suddenly we're done to three women and after maybe two real spots Asuka is done. Oh, and I really hated how Liv had to put her head between Rheas legs to get eliminated. It's so great to see El Generico and Kevin Steen beeing absolute main events players and still continue to play their lifelong story of will they-won't they. Sami played his part perfectly on the sideline, Reigns was great, everyone delivered. Still, I'd like to see the PPV end on a babyface high note with Sami standing tall but I get it's not the end of this story, so, I guess, all good.
  21. The Elite have to win the trios titles in the near future just so they can lose them to Silver, Reynolds and Hangman.
  22. Why won't AEW give the people what they want?
  23. I'd have really liked to see MJF returning as a face against heel Punk. His goodbye promo (or the Long Island shows) showed he could rally the troops behind him and heel Punk could have been a brilliant foil for him. Especially after those last weeks. Let MJF tear the house down as a beloved face until he turns back heel for good and makes a mockery of all the fans suddenly cheering him.
  24. First, the wrestling. The tag title match and the trios title match are very very high in my list of the most fun I had watching wrestling ever. Great storytelling in both matches, some absolutely fantastic and believable nearfalls and the crowd went nuts along the way. Both matches are strong contenders for my match of the year at this point. I really wanted to see Hangman, Silver and Reynolds get their moment at the top together. AEW is kinda stop and go with promoting their on-screen friendship and Silver and Reynolds sadly didn’t get to be much of a part of Hangmans title run which is a shame since they were responsible for some really heart-warming segment through the last years – all while always delivering the goods in the ring and getting super over with the fans. It's really depressing how Hangman’s stories always seem to start with failure. Silver, Reynolds and Hangman must be trios champions in the future. Second, the drama. I love it. I became a wrestling fan as a young kid because I couldn’t distinguish the truth from the lie on my tv. Now, thanks to social media and the excessive supply of information from all sides the curtain call somewhat got reversed. Yes, there is a strong likelihood that we are watching a bunch of morons melting down before our very eyes … but there’s also a chance they are Andy Kaufman’ning this shit. Whatever, I'm all in.
  25. Between all the big title drama - what I'm really excited for is how AEW will get Ten out of that Trios tournament. Uno is gone to Germany, but Ten has to go too so that Hangman can take his place, win the tournament together with Silver and Reynolds and we can all rejoice that Hangman won the title together with his new friends. Best Friends winning would be fine too but I fear I'm setting up myself for disappointment with the Trios tournament.
