  1. I don't mind Ronda muscling herself into the Mania card, but there had to have been a smarter way to do it than breaking out the old "What's she doing here!?" shtick. If they had done that shit with Mayweather that angle with Show would have never had the heat that it did.
  2. I don't know about that. I think I'd rather have Rush being a headache backstage than have fucking Luciferno as a potential top five rudo in my company.
  3. Goddamn, as if Wagner losing the mask wasn't big enough news for one night, Konnan apparently stole Rush away from CMLL.
  4. Fucking rap metal for a guy with a satanist gimmick? They should have just given him The Ascension's theme. At least it has blast beats.
  5. Google tells me it was announced in January. They could be saving him for some anniversary show, but it could also be something both parties forgot about already.
  6. Whatever happened to ZSJ coming to Lucha Memes? Did that fall through? Park vs. Rush was really fucking great, BTW. Everyone should check it out.
  7. 1. It's nice to see that Romo is still a smart enough QB to pick apart a mediocre secondary in less than 3 minutes. However, it doesn't squash any fears of him not being able to stay on the field. That's not to say they should have left him in there until he gets hit, but let him get another series or two for a decent sample size. And if he gets hurt, so what? He can be put out to pasture on the NFL Network and they just eat the dead money (which is where this is headed now). Maybe it wouldn't have made much of difference, but right now GMs are behaving as if he is injured when he's not. If somebody is selling me a waterproof whatever, eventually I'm going to ask the motherfucker to dunk it. It's not unreasonable. 2. Jimmy Garoppolo is 25 years old and looked stellar in the last few games he played. That's a ridiculous comparison. I'm a Cowboys fan and even I would advise any team to take Garoppolo over Romo if he were truly on the market.
  8. The only reason they would even let Romo take snaps is as a demonstration to the rest of the league. They didn't give a fuck if he was ready for the playoffs. Is he so brittle that he can't handle an extra series against a defense he already carved up? The whole point is to show people he can walk off the field on his own accord. It doesn't matter if he scored again or went 3 and out. No one is taking him because there isn't enough tape on him since his last injury. That's the problem.
  9. How the fuck do you accuse me of being dumb and answer your own question in the next sentence?
  10. Romo would be on a new team right now if they had let him take more snaps in the Eagles game. They basically telegraphed to the rest of the league that they have every right to be scared shitless of him getting injured. That and Jerry's comments about his eventual release (likely) sealed the deal.
  11. Yikes. He was the resident punching bag on the OL, but they needed to keep him around with all the defections going on. Not a good off season thus far for the Cowboys.
  12. His stock is sky high. The problem is his market was only ever open to a few select playoff contenders who rightly feigned indifference. Playing hardball with a guy like Romo is a total dick move, but that doesn't mean this wasn't a blown opportunity. BTW, he also would have been a short-term insurance policy in case Dak gets smashed and punches an Uber driver or something. I don't know if you're suggesting that there won't be offers pouring in, but if so, I will take that bet. A smart QB with a cannon for an arm doesn't come along very often. It doesn't matter that he has Jenga tower for a spine.
  13. But anything can happen between now and June 1st. This isn't a contractual time bomb situation like with Manning. Hell, even a 2018 pick would be better than nothing. I can only imagine the schadenfreude around here if some team signs Romo and trades away their current starting QB for picks.
  14. How does it benefit the Cowboys to do this now rather than wait a few months when teams know whether they're happy with what they're fielding? Maybe the saving grace will be that they will have enough to keep Ron Leary, but even that's a stretch.
  15. I had no idea so many people played this game to actually play the game. I thought it was just about creating the perfect simulated match.
  16. Even if that were true, it doesn't matter. It's all about how much teams value Tony Romo given the QB situation around the league. The draft is becoming a crapshoot for rookie QBs and it's not as if there's a bunch of Jeff Garcia types these days who can act as a decent stop-gap. If you have a semblance of a good QB it might not be worth it to take the gamble, but the Texans and Broncos have to be salivating at the chance to add Romo. It's one big game of chicken unless someone offers up anything for him. Then the Cowboys will see the picks come flying in from all sides.
  17. They won't trade him unless the Texans can rack their brains and somehow make it work with Osweiler's money on the books. Otherwise it's the Peyton deal all over again.
  18. You weren't kidding. I've been looking around out of curiosity and I still can't find the last time that particular call was made.
  19. The fact that you can bet on pro wrestling makes me worry so much about our country's financial outlook.
  20. I enjoyed the Chip Kelly pacing of tonight's show. Guys had to work more efficiently which meant less time than usual for idling and lazy comedy. And good for the crowd booing Blue Panther Jr. He stinks on ice.
  21. Is there a more intelligent worker in the history of wrestling than Negro Casas? I mean even if it has no applications to real life combat, it blows my mind the things he's able to up with on the fly.
  22. I thought this was surprisingly good outside of second match with Mayu. You know Io is a fucking nut when the roof dive was probably not even her most cringe inducing bump in the match. That was a star making performance if I've ever seen one. Not really sure what Vampiro was doing on commentary, but he really took me out of the match a few times. I guess it was supposed to be a parody of the creeps who get off to this sort of thing? I don't know, but it was bugging the hell out me.
  23. I just assumed it was Mr. Cisco and Argenis.
  24. A fun cruiserweight match met with silence? Check! A once classic gimmick match run into the ground? Check! Goldberg going over big with the most minimal effort possible? Check!
  25. The most infuriating part of this day is hearing the Bernie Bros claiming that with Clinton out of the way a real progressive will take the reigns and finally usher in a $15 minimum wage, single payer, free yogurt etc. Someone needs to remind these people that's not how leverage works. If she had won with a new Democratic congress, they could make all the demands they want for making it happen. Instead nothing was accomplished and they have no leverage anymore. The party might as well move further to the right of Clinton.
