  1. I'm pretty sure that "Sanity" promo is for "Crazy" Mary Dobson.
  2. I'll just leave this here, also from James Gunn. Because I can't even think up a response to the above post because it's just so weird, this idea that a stereotype like the jock is restrictive to exclusively white people, because lol80smovies.
  3. You can be a bully and an "entitled asshat" and still be Latin American, to use Eivion's example. Which is what I had a problem with originally - his post seemed to imply that only Caucasians can be that type of jock, when in reality your skin color, background, etc. doesn't matter. I don't know why you brought athletics into this, since I never mentioned anything about it. If that's his point, it's not a good one. Because it assumes that only white people can be that way when it's just not true. And the notion that "nerds" are higher up on the food chain (in high school) than "jocks" is kind of funny to me, I'm sorry.
  4. How old are you people? I knew more light/dark-skinned jocks in the same vein as Flash Thompson than I did white skinned jocks when I was in high school. It doesn't matter what color you are or where you come from, you get into that type of subculture of high school sports and the group mentality and anyone is going to pick up those ideas and mannerisms that defines a "jock".
  5. I'd imagine the suspensions are because they had random drug tests sometime recently and Alberto Del Rio, Paige and Eva Marie (+ maybe others) all popped for something. It's purely coincidental, and the idea that they're suspending people to "make up" for the fact that they can't punish Brock Lesnar is kind of crazy. For one thing, they knew they'd probably find themselves in this situation eventually, since all of the part-time talent like Lesnar has that luxury of not being subjected to the Wellness Policy. Add into the fact that it's in his contract that they can't punish him for things like cursing on television and WWE is basically asking for this type of scenario where he's above reprimand.

    MR. ROBOT

Guys, we're all ignoring the fact that That's pretty gangster.
  7. "stereotypical jock" isn't exclusive to "Americans" or even white people. This paragraph is mind boggling to me.
  8. GQ has a really good article up online about the Four Horsewomen. Lots of things I didn't know about in there, like Sasha's lack of a childhood and Becky quitting the business for like 6 or 7 years or that Reid convinced Charlotte to take up wrestling. And as far as the Paige/Del Rio/Eva Marie suspensions go, James Caldwell from PWTorch is claiming that "three might just be the beginning".
  9. Aunt May married into the Parker family - Uncle Ben was Richard Parker's brother.
  10. I guess she's just had a rough life, then.
  11. And your 2016 G1 Climax winner is...
  12. One would assume they also removed most of the Joker scenes from Suicide Squad because of the criticism that BvS got for being "too dark" or "gritty", and then meddled in the film and did reshoots to make it more lighthearted. The "damage" from BvS rolled downhill and affected Suicide Squad, who knows if it did the same for Wonder Woman.
  13. wrestling can't have a percentage of fans that would rather DVR RAW and watch the Olympics, NFL or either one of the political conventions? I don't get what you're saying here. Do you just not believe that those interests would crossover to a wrestling fan? If I didn't work nights (and me watching TV actually contributed to ratings) I would have for sure been watching the RNC & DNC over RAW (and Smackdown).
  14. I don't know if anyone ever bothered to watch it, but I decided to sit down and watch Money Monster last night and it was surprisingly really good. George Clooney is out of his element in this role, because it's not the slick, smooth talking older guy he usually plays in movies now. He seemed downright scared at times, which is exactly what that role called for in most cases. Julia Roberts was really good too, shockingly. Luckily her role was mainly just talking to Clooney's character through an earpiece. Jack O'Connell was the standout, though. I really felt sorry for the guy, and it didn't even take that long. This movie seems like it would have been better suited to be released during the whole "Occupy Wall Street" movement a few years back, but in our current political and economic climate, it still works just as well. The ending is super frustrating too, because we all know how "investigations" of too-big-to-fail companies usually go. You can smell the twist coming a mile away, but said twist is actually pretty great because it doesn't play out the way you think (or the way I thought, anyway). Bad Moms is super funny, but I don't know about it being called the funniest rated-R comedy since The Hangover. It definitely had it's moments, but it was side-splitting hilarious or anything. Mila Kunis is a highlight but it kind of feels like she's phoning it in, Christina Applegate is really good at making you hate her, Kristen Bell is kind of just here and doesn't really have any standout moments. The real MVP is Kathryn Hahn though. She's fucking hilarious in every scene she's in.
  15. It's your typical response, though. Claiming the rumor isn't legit because there's no sources, no one intimately involved have said such things, etc. I'm not taking a side one way or another until the movie comes out, but playing devil's advocate here, if the rumor was true and people internally within the movie's production and WB were saying these things - no chance in hell Jenkins would actually come out and say "yeah, that's true, people are saying that - but wait and see for yourself".
  16. Supposedly, Kyle Chandler is the frontrunner to be Cable in the Deadpool sequel.
  17. I'm going to go ahead and theorize that Emily Prentiss, since the character is returning full-time, will be the new head of the BAU. Which is fine with me, since I love Paget Brewster, but I don't know how much longer this show has left.
  18. I think they'd work better as a web exclusive type thing, it disrupts the flow of the show in some cases.
  19. Stranger Things soundtrack is out today (:D!), and apparently the show is more popular than Daredevil and Making a Murderer.
  20. Praise be to Allah. I'll be in the corner, after the next season, waiting for someone to put together a mega-cut off all the flashbacks.
  21. If you don't think current day WWE wouldn't jump at the chance to start an LGBT campaign using storylines and characters as the jump-off point... well, you're probably just wrong. Not saying they'll treat it with decency or respect, but they'll do it and shortly thereafter you'll have something similar to the Be A STAR thing. That whole thing came about when various forms of bullying and harassment was a hot button issue, now people have moved on to LGBT issues.
  22. Wasn't the Billy & Chuck storyline praised by GLAAD and other such organizations before WWE (of course) fucked everything up?
  23. Time to re-hire Orlando Jordan.
  24. No. Pretty sure it was only released the other day, too. Helwani says next Monday's episode is only the first out of four, so that makes me happy.
