  1. I don't know if anyone ever bothered to watch it, but I decided to sit down and watch Money Monster last night and it was surprisingly really good. George Clooney is out of his element in this role, because it's not the slick, smooth talking older guy he usually plays in movies now. He seemed downright scared at times, which is exactly what that role called for in most cases. Julia Roberts was really good too, shockingly. Luckily her role was mainly just talking to Clooney's character through an earpiece. Jack O'Connell was the standout, though. I really felt sorry for the guy, and it didn't even take that long. This movie seems like it would have been better suited to be released during the whole "Occupy Wall Street" movement a few years back, but in our current political and economic climate, it still works just as well. The ending is super frustrating too, because we all know how "investigations" of too-big-to-fail companies usually go. You can smell the twist coming a mile away, but said twist is actually pretty great because it doesn't play out the way you think (or the way I thought, anyway). Bad Moms is super funny, but I don't know about it being called the funniest rated-R comedy since The Hangover. It definitely had it's moments, but it was side-splitting hilarious or anything. Mila Kunis is a highlight but it kind of feels like she's phoning it in, Christina Applegate is really good at making you hate her, Kristen Bell is kind of just here and doesn't really have any standout moments. The real MVP is Kathryn Hahn though. She's fucking hilarious in every scene she's in.
  2. It's your typical response, though. Claiming the rumor isn't legit because there's no sources, no one intimately involved have said such things, etc. I'm not taking a side one way or another until the movie comes out, but playing devil's advocate here, if the rumor was true and people internally within the movie's production and WB were saying these things - no chance in hell Jenkins would actually come out and say "yeah, that's true, people are saying that - but wait and see for yourself".
  3. Supposedly, Kyle Chandler is the frontrunner to be Cable in the Deadpool sequel.
  4. I'm going to go ahead and theorize that Emily Prentiss, since the character is returning full-time, will be the new head of the BAU. Which is fine with me, since I love Paget Brewster, but I don't know how much longer this show has left.
  5. I think they'd work better as a web exclusive type thing, it disrupts the flow of the show in some cases.
  6. Stranger Things soundtrack is out today (:D!), and apparently the show is more popular than Daredevil and Making a Murderer.
  7. Praise be to Allah. I'll be in the corner, after the next season, waiting for someone to put together a mega-cut off all the flashbacks.
  8. If you don't think current day WWE wouldn't jump at the chance to start an LGBT campaign using storylines and characters as the jump-off point... well, you're probably just wrong. Not saying they'll treat it with decency or respect, but they'll do it and shortly thereafter you'll have something similar to the Be A STAR thing. That whole thing came about when various forms of bullying and harassment was a hot button issue, now people have moved on to LGBT issues.
  9. Wasn't the Billy & Chuck storyline praised by GLAAD and other such organizations before WWE (of course) fucked everything up?
  10. Time to re-hire Orlando Jordan.
  11. No. Pretty sure it was only released the other day, too. Helwani says next Monday's episode is only the first out of four, so that makes me happy.
  12. Why wouldn't Bryan choose someone on his own brand?
  13. WWE was plugging the Facebook Q&A on their own page days before it happened. He had the okay to do the Q&A, but the content was more like a shoot interview. On to more important things:
  14. I'm pretty sure that was only Halo 2, and that was okay because out of the 4 or 5 songs from Breaking Benjamin, Hoobastank and Incubus, only one song played within the game and it fit within the narrative of the battle. And I had just turned 15 when Halo 2 came out, so that was right within my musical tastes at the time.
  15. I don't get it.
  16. Hey, I loved the games. I wasn't a huge fan of the first one, because the combat and travel were kind of annoying, but 2 and 3 are two of my favorite games. If I could find those two for relatively cheap online, I would jump on them. Many a fond memories of getting high with my old roommate and playing 2 and 3 for hours and hours I just HATED the soundtrack, especially for the first one. If anything, I'd switch out the soundtracks for these two games because NMS looks really cheesy from a visual point of view, and the 65daysofstatic soundtrack seems like a better fit with Mass Effect.
  17. Mass Effect's soundtracks were boring and cheesy as all hell. I'd choose 65daysofstatic over that anytime.
  18. I don't know why, but FOX is combining two of my favorite shows for one week in October, when Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl will crossover for one episode of each series.
  19. Not sure if this goes here, but the documentary that FOX has been shooting about CM Punk will finally air a week from today. Not sure if it's on FOX, FS1 or what, but there ya go.
  20. Watching a livestream, this looks like the most boring game ever but it's something I could see myself getting easily sucked into and spending an entire weekend playing nonstop.
  21. Click under the quote like you're going to write a response and just hit the backspace button. At least that's how it works on Chrome.
  22. I watched Neighbors 2 earlier, and it was pretty funny. If you liked the first, then you'll like this one too. It follows the same formula too, but that's okay. Central Intelligence was a lot of fun, I called the "swerve" ending as soon as an important flashback happened, but it doesn't really matter because I had enjoyed the movie from start to finish. I'm finding more and more that I like Kevin Hart in action/comedy movies more than anything else (this, and Ride Along 1+2). I think the less I talk about X-Men: Apocalypse and Independence Day: Resurgence the better (but I will anyway). The former I liked, because I like the X-Men and comic book movies and I'll always find something to like in those types of movies, even the worst ones. I didn't have any big problems with it, but compared to First Class and DoFP, it just didn't seem as good. I'll still watch the next one, without a doubt. ID: Resurgence was just... really bad. Everyone in this movie was just phoning it in, and the only person who gave a good performance was Jeff Goldblum (and I don't even typically like Goldblum's acting). Both of these movies suffered from some horrible CGI and obvious green screens. Apparently HBO Signature, I think it was, aired an Al Pacino marathon last night. I caught a little bit of Carlito's Way before I fell asleep, I'll probably go back and watch the whole thing next weekend since it's OnDemand. I'm pretty sure after that was Scarface, which I've seen multiple times before and also slept through. I woke up at the very end, watched Scent of a Woman again, but I still don't really understand the "meaning" of it. Pacino gives another stellar performance. No surprise there. Then it was a movie I didn't even know existed, The Insider. I really enjoyed this, but this wasn't even really Pacino's film, I thought Russell Crowe was better than he was. Still a really good movie though. And finally, before I fell asleep again because that's all I do is sleep on the weekends - You Don't Know Jack. All of the awards Pacino won for this HBO made movie were well deserved, and overall it's just a really sad movie (but quite moving).
  23. the Blu-Ray is already available to pre-order on Amazon:
  24. just Animal, Johnny Ace and Fury/Terminator.
  25. Bret being his usual salty self, insinuating that Rollins isn't a safe worker because he's injured John Cena and Sting in the past. Saying he could have killed Cena with that knee, then "not a week later" he injured Sting and he should have been more careful because Sting is one of those guys you "have to take care of in the ring". Also said Drew McIntyre, Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes should have been top stars.
