  1. I'm sure I'll find a lot of your opinions make me feel the same way once this tournament starts, if it's any consolation.
  2. Yeah, I believe that's what I said. They were squash matches - which are in of itself boring.
  3. While we're talking about the Rock calling CM Punk... Rock also appeared before the show started and told everyone to stick around after the show. Then, for whatever reason, they ran an angle where Vince came out and fired Rock.
  4. I didn't vote for Ambrose, but I watched KO/Ambrose from the 2016 Rumble last night and it was pretty good. I think both of them held their own. It's amusing that Braun is probably a lock to get into this thing when for half of the year he did lame squash matches, had an underwhelming LMS match with Sami Zayn, and was the "monster" in multi-tag matches with the Wyatts and the Survivor Series RAW/SD match. Entertaining? Absolutely. Most Improved on the main roster? I would say so. Deserves a spot in March Madness because of those things and not the in-ring work? Not a chance. ---- But, I'm bias, because I voted for Seth Rollins (duh) and he doesn't get the love he deserves. Rollins/Balor was really good I thought, I just watched it again last night (thank god for the Best of 2016 playlist on the Network). Reigns/Rollins at Money in the Bank was really fun, the Shield triple threat was good (but not awesome like we all had hoped). Then you have the Fatal 4 Way match after Balor gave up the title, which was mostly a combined effort of everyone involved (hell, even Big Cass was good in that match). I liked the gimmick matches KO and Rollins had too, but they were a bit overbooked and didn't make KO look strong because of Jericho. I voted for American Alpha mainly due to everything pre-July they did. If that doesn't count... uh, I really liked the four corners elimination match where they won over the Wyatts? I probably shouldn't have even bothered with them, on second thought, I would have went with Alexa Bliss (IMO, the women's MVP on Smackdown). And finally, Baron Corbin.... everyone else has said why. I love everything about the guy, but he's wooden on the microphone, so I wish they'd work with him a little more on that. He's having a stellar 2017 so far, and ever since he debuted on the main roster he's been moving up the ladder quickly. Didn't care for his feud with Kalisto, but I'll be damned if that Chairs match wasn't great.
  5. I don't have kids, and the only person in my family that watches wrestling besides me is my cousin's husband and her 5 year old son. I don't know about the husband, I think he just watches it because he's latched onto wrestling right now, but the kid's favorite is Brock Lesnar, hands down. He was CRUSHED when Goldberg dominated him at Survivor Series. Already loving the heels, he's going to turn out just fine.
  6. Bill Maher was Milo-lite before Milo was ever a thing, but a liberal version.
  7. CNN just ran a story about Corey Graves' brother, Sam Adonis, who wrestles in Mexico doing a pro-Trump gimmick. I'm not sure if he started the gimmick before or after Brian Cage, though. If Cage did do it first, I guess they did it on Sam because he wrestles mainly in Mexico now? I'm not sure. It was under 5 minutes long, and after it they showed Trump tackling Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 23 (but didn't mention that Vince's significant other is now a member of Trump's cabinet - dafuq?).
  8. I'm not getting involved in that debate, because we all see it differently, but I'll say this: I really do miss Beth Phoenix and I wish she'd come back and reform the Divas of Doom with Natalya.
  9. Flash & Legends of Tomorrow didn't have new episodes this week, but Arrow did? What?
  10. Matt Reeves has now dropped out of directing The Batman solo film.
  11. Mel Gibson is in talks to direct Suicide Squad 2.
  12. Foley/Funk deathmatch, synced with the audiobook portion about this very match.
  13. I'm currently trying to 3 star every tour circuit on the NXT leg, and advance them to the Hard mode. So far I've only done the very first one, and I'm only lacking one 3 star match on the second stop of the NXT tour. I think my highest level character is the NXT version of Rollins, then Cena in a very close second. I would spend money on this game, but I'm further ahead on Supercard so I'll likely spend some dough on that game instead. I was VERY tempted to get the Jerry Lawler character a few days ago, but then I discovered it's a random pull. Same goes with the card game - if I'm willing to spend money, let me buy the card/character I want.
  14. All of these things happened under a President that Vince didn't like.
  15. I could have swore that Teddy Long was already in the Hall of Fame. It's weird that he didn't make it in sooner, but hey - welcome addition. Holla holla.
  16. You can get a 6 month free trial of TIDAL if you use the code "sprint". I did it earlier today, watching the Reasonable Doubt 20th Anniversary doc right now.
  17. They can't have character progression for a black wrestler in February just because it's Black History Month?
  18. He was in a casting call announcement that lists the entire cast of Infinity War, but no official press release from Marvel or anything.
  19. John Hannah is fucking killin' it on Agents of Shield this season.
  20. WWE Supercard just entered into Season 3 over the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays, and it still has cards for those people (while also introducing new and updated cards). It's super annoying. I don't even know if it could be considered a production thing since this one has been going since 2014 and doesn't remove characters that have left the company.
