  1. I'd like to see Rory beat a top 5 fighter before making that distinction. But, seeing as how carefully the UFC has handled him, I doubt we'll see that happen. Wasn't Jake Ellenberger in the top five when Rory beat him? In terms of rankings, MacDonald is basically next in line after Hendricks. Condit is ranked ahead of him and beat him before, but he just fought for the title last November and has gone 1-1 since that fight.
  2. The really frustrating data packs for me were the ones on some like unattainable ledge on a high building you had to dive bomb and glide to get up to. I'm nearly done with New Game+, but I'm really trying hard to get rank 15 on Worst Nightmare (predator challenges). It's hard because in order to get some of these you need to be able to access predator rooms in story mode. And man, the boss fights on New Game+ were nasty. Though, nowhere near as awful as Mr. Freeze on New Game+ for City.
  3. In the first episode they did say that Ward was graded as on par with Black Widow. Also, isn't Victoria Hand supposed to be like a contentious heel type?
  4. If I were Pat Healy, I'd pack a steel titanium cup. Or like a cup that sends electric shocks out when your opponent tries to hit it.
  5. A lot of things about Arrow didn't work for me either. The really forced and contrived melodrama for starters and the soap opera dialogue. All the bait and switches with the mom were insane and nothing about it made any sense. I will say I did like how they reinvented some characters for the TV show. But now I hear they are doing the Flash in season 2 when I thought the idea is that there would be no superpowers and no meta-humans. How will they go in that direction now? Also how do Ollie and his buddies use voice modulation whenever they want? Like he can talk into his phone and do it, or he can do it under his hood when there is clearly nothing to disguise his voice on his persons. And Ollie's disguise in itself...I mean there's no disguise. He's got green eye shadow. That's it. There is no way someone in front of him couldn't recognize him.
  6. I like Smith and all, but he's kind of biased in a situation like this. He loved the Daredevil costume as well.
  7. Yup, I've had the same vibe since the first trailer as well. If Masters of the Universe ever does get another movie, I would want it to have a similar look and aesthetic of Thor 2.
  8. As I recall, going to Enigma's hideout and attempting to hack it will show you the informant locations. Take care of them and it will unveil the data pack locations in specific areas. One stupid thing though, all the informants respawn in New Game+ even after you've already defeated them all and found everything (relays, informants, and data packs). This was not the case in New Game+ on City. Just another example of how the game did not get the extra polish and smoothing out it needed, which is a shame.
  9. Yeah, not after that main event. I just don't want to see Henderson in Bellator in three months. Dan Henderson vs. Tito Ortiz, your next would-be Bellator PPV main event.
  10. The Hayter change doesn't really annoy me because it's Big Boss not Solid Snake. They are not the same character. It wouldn't surprise me if young Solid Snake or Liquid showed up at some point in these games. Though would you want Hayter as a teen Snake?

    Elementary

Mycroft has been the real Moriarty this whole time. Irene was just their patsy to throw him off their trail.
  12. George Lazenby had no acting experience before On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and he lied to the filmmakers in order to get an auditio. And they gave him the lead to play James Bond. You should give it a shot.
  13. You really think that?Absolutely. And it shouldn't surprise you. You're the only one not on the Marvel train. Normal people don't have the boner for it that you guys do, if you talk to anyone who isn't all COMIC BOOKS ARE GRAPHIC NOVELS, they generally find the movies poor to decent, minus Iron Man and The Avengers. Iron Man 3 is the beginning of the end IMO. Thor 2 is going to make probably $90-100 million this weekend, so I'd say you are wrong. It's easily going to surpass the first movie's take. Considering before Thor came out, he was pretty much a B/C list character and his first movie made $450 million worldwide, that's pretty impressive. Beginning of the end. The more people see these poor sequels, the more they won't watch the follow ups. You think people saw Iron Man 3 and thought "I want more of that"? Considering it's week to week performances, audience ratings, reviews, home video sales, I'd say the answer is yes. The fact is "normal people" enjoy these movies as entertainment. Kids and families especially also love these movies.
  14. The Deathstroke fight is awesome because it's really all about carefully picking your shots and not spamming your attacks. It feels like a remarkably authentic fight (in terms of Batman continuity) in how a fight between the two would go.

  16. I really don't get it at all because the film is easily better and more satisfying than Thor and Iron Man 3 for that matter. I mean granted, critics are generally enthralled by Robert Downey Jr and his kooky performance as Tony Stark. It's not wildly incoherent and insane like a Michael Bay film. My only problems with it were like too much Darcy compared to other characters, and I do feel like some good story chunks were cut out to keep the movie under two hours. I mean if you look at Cap: TFA, they didn't really appear to cut out anything really interesting. I'm really excited about the Netflix shows, though I doubt I'm going to get a subscription in order to watch them. I'll probably wait for the DVD sets instead. But doing a TV to reintroduce Daredevil is a perfect idea. I think all these characters are best suited for a TV drama format because they are street level heroes and that works best for a one-hour drama/procedural style format. Iron Fist is one of my favorite characters, so I'm excited to see who will finally play him. If we could see other SHIELD characters or Fury and Coulson show up and put these guys on their "index," that would be pretty cool. This is just personally my idea, but after they do the initial seasons and first Defenders miniseries event, they should smoosh Cage, Fist, and Jessica Jones and make them the Heroes for Hire. Considering Jones and Cage eventually hook up and get married and have a kid and Cage and Fist are best friends, it makes sense.
  17. He also claimed that Jon Jones, Frank Mir, Reem, and Werdum should be fired by Dana White for going to the press conference of the Legend event and taking pictures with people. Cro Cop is getting punchy and should retire.
  18. That description fits a lot of characters in the DCU.
  19. Trying to expect thoughtful and intellectual discourse on Twitter alone is a mistake. Most Twitter and social media are the dregs of social media right alongside YouTube comments. A veritable filter for mental illness.
  20. This turned out to be a fun card, and honestly I think this event probably turns out better than Fight Night 32. But great atmosphere. The military people being respectful to guys who beat the veterans was nice.
