  1. Houston had their issues with New England while Brady was still out. But, like Kev pointed out, Brady is human (look at the Jets game from week 12), but I still don't see Houston pulling that off. As amazing as Rodgers has been (and I hate saying that, as a Bears fan), I think their luck is about to run out. Dallas made GB into their bitches at Lambeau, and now Jordy Nelson is most likely out with two fractured ribs.
  2. I came down with the stomach bug from hell on Christmas Eve, and spent close to ten hours vomiting up everything I'd eaten that day, and then wasn't even able to keep down water or Ginger Ale. Being such a considerate hubby, I stayed on the couch, so as not to spread it to anyone else. Well, the older daughter got sick at about 2:00 AM, so the wife brought her down to change her clothes, and the younger one followed. They saw that Santa came, and went right for the stockings. I'm on the couch feeling like death, and the wife's only reaction is "Well, I guess it's technically Christmas." I told her, in a not so jolly tone of voice, that it was fucking 2 AM, and I'm still vomiting, and to get them back into bed.
  3. Well, first I got a horrible stomach bug that left me unable to even keep down water. I spent a good 12 hours, from Saturday night until Sunday morning on the couch and running back and fourth to the bathroom. The wife and I always have a debate/argument about me not wanting to go to breakfast at her parents, because I always work on X-mas eve night, and am tired. But, this year, work took one look at me and told me to go home, and the wife had no problem with me not going. The wife bought me a Zach Miller Jersey (Chicago Bears #86) The older daughter got me a pair of Batman fleece PJs, which are actually really f'n comfy. The younger one got me a Bears plastic drinking cup. The in-laws gave us two $25 Regal Cinema cards, and two $50 restaurant cards. My mother got us each a $50 MasterCard, got me a case of Leinenkugal Bavarian Dunkel, and the whole family a set of VR goggles. My sister got the wife and I a big case of Gourmet popcorn.
  4. I can only think of one courtroom scene that doesn't seem to be on the level. The scene where the prosecution calls up the FBI forensic analyst, and Vinny objects that the defense hadn't been given any notice, and wasn't able to properly prepare cross, but the judge shot him down.
  5. Baylor/Oklahoma was one of my favorite games last season, because it was such a war. This time around, Baylor is being OU's bitch.
  6. After his interview, I wonder how popular Aaron Rodgers is with the rest of the Packers?
  7. So what's the miracle for the NFL? Bills winning the Super Bowl?
  8. It's another bizarre season in Chicago. Despite our pitiful 2-6 record, we're actually 2-1 in the division.
  9. I totally agree, that's why I specifically said it was the Batgirl/Paris story that I actually enjoyed.
  10. I'm mad late to the party, but I finally watched "The Killing Joke." I actually liked the Batgirl/Paris Franz story, with him being in her head and making her doubt herself. They just did a really half-assed job at trying to connect it to the main story. But, by their own admission, their only goal was to lengthen the film.
  11. If Hoyer keeps this up, then Cutler may never come back!
  12. TCU is making OU their bitch! EDIT: And after that cheap shot by TCU on the punt return, OU found their fire and took the lead after being down 21-7.
  13. The way that Cris and Al kept bringing up that Forte and Gould were let go for making too much money, it makes me even more certain/hopeful that Da Bears will be bidding farewell to Cutler after the season.
  14. I'd be very surprised if, barring some sort of miracle resurgence, that Cutler is around next season anyway. How many times has his age been brought up, and the fact that nobody is left on the team that was there when he started? But, unfortunately, we've seen just how bad Da Bears have been without him, look at the disaster that was week three last season with Jimmy Clausen. I'm figuring that, no matter how Cutler's thumb is doing, that Brian Hoyer is starting on Sunday night. If Cutler is healed up enough, and Hoyer chokes, then Cutler is back on 10/2 for sure.
  15. Last season, the Bears were making fourth quarter comeback wins. This season, we're blowing our lead in the third quarter.
  16. They gave up 37, but still put up 31, so it doesn't look like the problem was with the offense.
  17. Does Rex make it until the end of the season before he gets shit-canned?
  18. All blue for Da Bears. I was hoping for the orange variety.
  19. As much self-pitty as I have during the season, as a Chicago Bears fan, I can only imagine how let down the fans in LA are tonight!
  20. And another big penalty by Green Boy goes uncalled!
  21. OU is shutting out ULM 42-0 going into halftime. After their meltdown in the second half last week, Bob must have given them one hell of a pep talk and/or ass chewing!
  22. Michigan is putting an unreal beating on UCF.
  23. As a fan of the Chicago Bears, I would also like to see this happen.
  24. It was a nice back and fourth game for the first half, but OU has been having a meltdown since the third quarter.
