  1. This might be an ignorant question, but are there many (any?) Bockwinkel/Race matches on tape? I can barely even find any mention of them ever meeting in the ring. According to Wrestlingdata.com, they never wrestled each other, which seems hard to believe. They did, however, team in the 1984 RWTL, and had matches against (among others) the British Bulldogs and Hansen & Brody. They also put the Blackjacks over twice in the AWA. All I've found listed for Bock vs. Race was a 45 minute draw from 1969 in Amarillo. Doubt that will show up anywhere.
  2. Nakamura is fast becoming my favourite wrestler whom I've never seen wrestle.
  3. For the record, I just wore the original YES! YES! YES! shirt on Friday. It's a good shirt, but all the flying goat and respect the beard shit is, well, shit.
  4. Wrestlemania X. Batista as Luger, Orton as Yoko, Kane as Owen, Bryan as Bret. If Batista's guaranteed the title, he gets it at the beginning of the show and loses it at the end.
  5. Well, since Punk's not around, isn't he really the voice of the voice of the voiceless?
  6. The announcers were putting him over too. At least, in my mind, calling him the new Brody is putting him over. It's also a bit of a clever nod to his indy name.
  7. I'm so happy to see Harper getting so much love. I saw (I think) his last pre-WWE match with Chikara, and it was a great slugfest with the War King Eddie Kingston.
  8. Counting his match as the main event of the Rumble because the Rumble is a special situation, Orton has now won 7 out of the last 9 ppv main events. The two he didn't win were a no-contest and a loss that was overturned the next night. That also means 6 out of the last 8 main event title matches have been won by the heel (since he was a face during MitB so that doesn't count.)

  10. ARE YOU REFERRING TO ARM CANNONS WHEN YOU SAY BOOM BECAUSE IF SO I THINK WE ARE, YES. So you're saying Cesaro stole Kofi's gimmick?
  11. You know, since Batista left 4 years ago, a lot of the younger fans just don't know him - or maybe just know him from his Hollywood Dave period. It's not like he was elevated to Rock-like Icon status by the WWE during his absence - before he came back they hardly ever mentioned him.
  12. I swear I had this EXACT thought during Raw a couple of weeks back. This is an amazing idea. The Undertaker as a pro wrestling Dr. Who. Vince should slap a copyright on that yesterday. DOCTOR Who, ya fuckin' savage. You mean The Doctor. Doctor Who is Peter Cushing.
  13. Aren't we getting Davey Richards/Ken Anderson in the first round? I have my campaign buttons all polished and everything.
  14. It's not much different from a regular tombstone - he's basically coming down with his hands resting gently on the exterior posterior protuberance.
  15. He did a house show recently as part of a six man tag, I think. I'm guessing they're keeping him out of the ring on TV to a) keep some of the "returning star" luster on him, and b) avoid having him get booed.
  16. King Curtis too. Austin vs. the Ministry of Doom.
  17. Linda. Vince then has to face the fact that, while he's an evil sumbitch, his wife was willing to sacrifice her daughter to the dark gods to get her way.
  18. I thought it was Shawn and Bryan at first.
  19. I don't know if they'd want Cena to, ahem, shit on the selling point of one of their PPVs.
  20. IIRC the idea behind putting the title on him was to keep him motivated, so probably, yeah. But what if Kerry hadn't no-showed his start date with WCW? What do they do with him? Renegade v. 0.9?
  21. It's hard to say, because these things usually only come to light after someone dies, like Umaga. But I have to think Kurt would be in even worse shape.
