Yeah, it's mean. And funny

I was like "this is either gonna be surprising or it's gonna end up real real real real bad". Honestly don't want him around at all, sadly. It's already time for someone to not be alarmed by Thekla's spoopy poopy spider walk and just kick her arm out from under her, or kick her in the ribs, or double stomp her right in the breadbox. Hell just dropkick her in the face so she can't try to grab a limb. It was great seeing Shane Taylor again (who had a great match with Strickland) and Athena, too. More ROH/Collision crossover would be nice. Also fun seeing the Conglomeration kind of end up being an AEW version of the Avengers where all the popular babyfaces with no current feuds team up to fight crime and intergalactic menaces. Having goofy-ass Chicken as the ostensible Captain America (or Cyclops, or Reed Richards) of the group and the defacto mouthpiece is awesome. Toni did the most obvious and readable mouthing of the word MOTHERFUCKER ever. Could have been in response to Cena saying "motherfudging" during his pipe-bomb promo, but more likely just Toni being Toni. -

They were gonna put in Buddy Colt too and that wasn't his real name, so Pretty good over-under though. -

I'm on part three now and these are two things I've never heard before: Mushnick insisted that the NWA World Champion always have a college degree, and use their actual name. The latter is crazy to think of because it's so obvious in retrospect. Lou Thesz. Buddy Rogers. Gene Kiniski. Dory Funk Jr. Terry Funk. Jack Brisco. Harley Race. All real names. -

I thought it was great fun. Punk having to lay there and play dead listening to the whole thing... My only question is how do you respond to that? Say nothing and just fight him? EDIT: Just realized that on both this pipebomb and the original pipebomb, I tuned in to shows they were on that I did not otherwise watch just in time to see them both live. Huh! Neat coincidence. -

I haven't read anything about it since, don't even care to, but what I remember as a kid was thinking "why is this guy so obsessed with work? And why is he such a miserable asshole?" And then I put it down. Re: the Kentucky scandal, if you want the details on how the pod handles it -
Nahhh. That's gotta be Sharpie.

I always wonder if that beard on Khaled is some kind of paint or a latex appliance they glue to his face with spirit gum.

I was reminded by Facebook that I was invited to come up and sing Impetigo's "Boneyard" at somebody's show some years ago (I cannot for the life of me remember who though despite it being recently) and that reminded me that I knew exactly one line from the song and I just made shit up for the rest of it -- even probably the places for the verses The benefits of doing death metal karaoke! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCzxYanr4xA

That's what I meant with my Murdoch comment. I finished the second part. Its actually not as interesting as the first one to me. Looks like it's heating up a little toward the end again and the last one should be where all the stuff we lived through is. -

Well, that's good. Even this late in life it's nice to see that people can still change for the better. If he's saying these things in this era, when he could easily follow the status-quo of the "government" (I use that term very loosely), then he really must have turned a new leaf. -

So has Layfield started acting what the JBL character would refer to as "PC" now? That'll be interesting when the Rupert Murdoch conversation starts here in a little bit. -

The scandal hits right at the end of the first episode. Brisco doesn't say a lot, but yeah he's old and rambles a bit. John is about as least irritating as he's ever been. Though, a known hazer and bully yelling about high school athletes being abused is kind of... well, you know. -
That would be admitting that something involving MF Doom is bad and that is physically impossible for me to do

Mr. Octopus! Thank you so very much, I'm almost finished with the first part and this is fascinating. I'm not even really a podcast person but I love a good one when I'm hipped to it and this is some prime stuff. Then again, I did finish the entire Hornbaker NWA book, which for most would be like watching paint dry This start is very much in that wheelhouse. I bet the rest of it is gonna be more scandal-riffic and closer to the stuff people are more familiar with time-wise. -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY0guCiwzBw&ab_channel=CauldronFilms Here's the American Rickshaw trailer. That looks delirious. I've heard of next to none of the movies they're selling and I bet they're all awesome -

They have footage of Leatherface putting on makeup when he's wearing the woman mask? They have footage of the chainsaw dance where at the end he THROWS THE FUCKING CHAINSAW?!?!?!

Or you could always change music to something insulting, like "Pop Goes the Weasel" or "Camptown Races" or something else really stupid and cloying. Surely there are songs more current than those examples of course.

They used to pretty regularly do a royale where everyone was already in the ring when they came back from commercial, didn't they?
