That Valentine quote is totally his Jules from Pulp Fiction bible quote. You hear that, that's yo ass.

Why am I seeing this three days after the fact?! I'm on this board all the goddamn time. Anyway that news has me looking and feeling like this

What they should do is have whoever wins between Cesaro and Ambrose has to immediately face Owens, and Cesaro wins the whole thing.

That was quite the spectacle. I must've yelled out loud at least three times in that match, usually something prefaced by "FUCKING". And then among the screencaps on display afterwards were Wahoo McDaniel holding up his index finger and Dennis Hopper smiling. That pretty much sums it up.

What's funny about Ring of Hell is all the stuff in Jericho's second book matching it, so you totally know he was a source. EDIT: Might've been some stuff from the first book too. All I remember is there were some recollections which were identical. -
Do the world a favor. Watch that Barista trailer and then go kick a hipster in the teeth.

Looks like it's up on Youtube so, not to speak for Fowler, but I imagine so. Still, even I don't have it on DVD (never even seen it) and my collection of horror films is ridiculous. That's probably because I never picked up one of the many many Evil Dead reissues since I always had it on VHS. EDIT: Also, don't reveal your hand so quick, dammit!

In of course. I think I have my pick already.

YES. Stage Fright is one of the best slashers/giallos. Who wouldn't want to watch a guy with a giant owl head sawing up irritating and pretentious stage actors? The inventiveness of his films was fantastic; Cemetery Man alone deserves him a mark in history as a genius director. Martin Scorcese of all people called it one of the best Italian films of the '90s. The problem is that, according to Wiki, he stopped directing to care for his ailing son for awhile, and besides that, the Italian film industry tanked for whatever reason after the mid-'90s. At least that's what I hope it adds up to as someone as good as him doesn't deserve to be stuck in TV hell. EDIT: Apparently he's tried to get at least two projects off the ground, including a sequel to Cemetery Man, but these were in '08 and '11. I'm blaming Berlusconi.

Okay, maybe not, actually.

Who? You mean Bring Strawberries? I'm gonna be so sad to have to watch this Raw en Espanol on NBC Universo.

I think it was the third or fourth I ever owned; my folks bought me the CD for Xmas. Why I STILL DON'T have it on vinyl is a complete mystery to me. Hell, the other day I was gonna splurge and buy some obscenely priced reissue of it at my friend's record store, just because he's closing up shop, but it was already sold.

Yeah it was way better than Kill the Irishman or certainly The Iceman, which was a pretty big disappointment for me. Humanizing Michael Shannon in that was the dumbest thing in the world if you've ever watched the HBO documentaries on the dude.

Nope, IMDB sez '06.

Damn time flies, The Departed came out in 2006?!

Hey now, I only gargle Jack Daniels with the people most appropriate to gargling Jack Daniels with. Which means Mr. Perfect is absolutely on my list. Also, I can almost 100% that Bryan is not a smoker, maybe just a "once every 6 months" guy. Then again, smokers can be deceptive...

Paranoid turned 45 today. 45. How many generations of people have been changed by this album? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVnwyUo_Xsk

Honestly, there are probably half a dozen gangster films better than Black Mass that have came out in the last couple years: The Town, The Departed, The Drop (I'm sensing a theme here...) but I still appreciated the acting. EDIT: God's Pocket needs to be mentioned here. It's like the film that should never have been but is.

We've already been through this before, but no love for Terry Funk's book? -
I could try and keep up, at least. And yes, my #1. with a bullet is Andre the motherfucking Giant. My 2 is Terry because he has great stories and seems like a fun drunk instead of a crazy drunk. Number 3... Bobby Heenan. Or Gordon Solie. EDIT: Oh yeah! Since you guys mentioned the Jericho book, definitely Curt Hennig.

At this point I'm wondering what they haven't remade from the '80s/early '90s that ruled my childhood. The Lost Boys? The Goonies? (oh shit I better stop talking they're probably watching) By the way, watching The Goonies with a ton of kids and nostalgic adults in a parking lot recently was one of the best things ever.

Black Mass was pretty good, maybe not as gritty as I wanted (for a film with a guy strangling the shit out of people, still), but good. Johnny Depp plays Dracula for apparently the second time in the last five years and has a very good Renfield to second him. In retrospect I could have waited for the DVD but it saved my ass from being drowned in a storm tonight so I can't complain. Also has closing credits identical to Straight Outta Compton, which was weird considering that was the last film I saw in the exact same theater. EDIT: Oh, and there are scenes I wanted to cackle at but didn't want to come off like a total madman in the room. There was at least one that everyone else got with me on, but I resisted otherwise. My sense of humor isn't that of most others.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x955fs_njpw-hirooki-goto-vs-giant-bernard_sport The first part (of three, you know how to find the rest) of his New Japan Cup Final against Goto, which I remember being really good. And then there were all of those times he powerbombed the shit out of Tanahashi really hard on the ring apron but those seem to have spoilers embedded in the screencaps on Youtube so search at your own peril. Oh and then there were all those... questionable moments (the things a man does to provide for his family)

We always say "this is gonna crush me", this and that about movies around here, but this really is. And I'm gonna watch it at the Art or on DVD and cry my fucking eyes out. The guy sounds like the Bill Hicks I never knew, and the backstory and eventual revelation is so so strong (EDIT: FUCKING HORRIBLE). This should be the movie to make people wake up about Bobcat being a great filmmaker, and the topic it eventually results in.

That just made me think of what we would get if someone did an Elric of Melnibone movie (which has been tried) and how much I'd probably hate it. EDIT: Well, unless it was animated by Michael Whelan.
