This is gonna sound weird and bad, but I actually have some empathy toward Swann because of what I have heard him say about his childhood in shoot interview stuff - he's a victim of the cycle of abuse himself. If he's legitimately doing the work to improve as a person, and Su's standing by him (God bless her) who am I to say 'lets throw him in the trash' just because he had the absolute worst kind of shit modeled for him as a kid and did the statistically likely thing? Now, if he KEPT doing it, that's on him 100%, and that's a different conversation entirely. Velveteen, on the other hand, instead of having any kind of remorse or doing any kind of self-reflection, seems to get worse the more we hear (grooming! Schamberger! Pee tapes??) Apples and oranges.

I was going to reply to this with a similar post to what @Phantom Lordsaid. House shows the way they were doing them are passe, and it's not a huge stretch to say they probably took years off a lot of talented men and women's careers (or worse). Though, the kind of paradoxical flip side to the idea that they're passe, is maybe taking that old school approach and hyping a big card in a big market from time to time. See how they do and maybe you do one or two a month if they're profitable. You tape the shit anyway, and then it's more "hidden gem" content for peacock and footage you can use down the line for documentaries and comps I'm just quoting you to say that I absolutely love the term holistic good wrestler to describe that phenomenon. And for the record, I also completely agree with that analysis - I think anyone here could give you five or ten on each

Regarding the rating: besides anyone watching the Lakers, do you think it's a matter of that ~180-200K segment of the audience saying to themselves: taped show, not a card where a lot of the finishes are in question, go-home for the PPV is next week, this one's a skip? Like, it's unquestionably a drop-off, but I'm also not necessarily seeing anything on last night's card that was must-see for a non-weekly, I guess "casual" (but not casual in THAT sense) Dynamite viewer.

I'm pumped as hell Serena's back. That ought to be a pretty good one, Velvet's starting to put it all together pretty well. Beyond that, like @Sex Machine Gun, I'm probably looking forward to Christian/Sydal most. I'm also stoked to see the Blondes, I haven't been keeping up with the Dark shows like usual lately, so I'm eager to see how they're coming along.
