  1. [Spoilers] "Well let's see, in 1986 Stan was living in Charl...oh wait God dammit, he was living in Florida!" [/Spoilers] Cornette's delivery was amazing on that, I have to say
  2. No more belts!! Besides the four proper AEW titles, you have the seemingly pointless FTW title, and with the door fully open you now have the NWA women's title, the IWGP US title, and the Impact tag titles appearing pretty regularly. If it's a must, the best way to introduce a new title I think would be an underdog babyface (if they hadn't already made him TNT Champion, Darby would be literally perfect for this) challenges Brian Cage to finally defend the FTW title, gets the upset win, and announces the next week during the customary Schiovane interview that Khan and the EVPs have decided to officially sanction it as the AEW World blah blah blah Championship. Edit: thinking about it for a few minutes, maybe they run this with Darby some time after the tag match and they just unify the FTW and TNT titles
  3. I think it's a possibility Johnson and Arn turn together, and Arn stays on as his manager. I'm pretty unsure where else you can go with the Sting/Darby/Taz stuff - maybe next week is the one in which they finally leave Sting laying (or more accurately, Darby or someone finds him after an off-screen beating).
  4. The main event has the most potential for a great match, but I think Hirsch/Rosa should be good. Hirsch has looked good on Dark lately, and really Rosa has only had one bad match this whole time. I wonder what Janela/Darby's gonna be like as a straight singles match. If this were a PPV deathmatch or something I'd probably have higher hopes (though I think I do like Janela more than most of you). I'm sure there will be no shortage of stupid bumps - hopefully Darby governs himself a bit with the PPV coming up
  5. I think those USWA comps are exactly what's airing. I watched the end of Austin, followed by Tito, Valentine, and Cactus'. For zero dollars I cannot complain at all. I also saw an interesting indie doc last week that heavily featured Peter Avalon and other guys I recognized from CWFH. Most of it was them doing karaoke but hell if I didn't enjoy it.
  6. Ah, great point I didn't think of. My bad @AxB!
  7. Not trying to be glib, but have to agree with @RunningFromAmericaon this one - Impact's television reach is about the same as Larry King's dick pill ads (RIP). There's no comparison to prime time on TNT.
  8. Khan as online-only Bischoff is only going to be awesome til someone convinces him it's a good idea to do on TV - but he's been pretty adamant about not going that direction. So for now, the verdict is: I freaking love it.
  9. I haven't seen any GLOW yet, but I'm liking this channel so far. Just tuned into a Terry Funk vs Brickhouse Brown match I've never seen, which Google tells me is from a 1990 USWA title tourney.
  10. Unrelated to doo doo, I'm pretty happy Nick Commarato is with the Nightmare Family because I think working tags or six man's with Dustin is gonna be a really great thing for his development. I was actually kinda laughing when he debuted on Dynamite, because maybe an hour or two beforehand I was saying on here how he was my favorite dude on Dark because he was like a WCW SN guy
  11. It was at that point Freddie prayed for a She's All That residual to be in the mailbox
  12. @Zimbra do you run that twitter?! Great freakin follow!!
  13. I got it on sale for $16 on Switch, and played it exactly twice. Id never heard of his other games and took a gamble. I figured the trailer was in slow motion... I believe @Ramo2653 is on the money and it's an ability
  14. Not involved in this discussion, but being someone who is *certainly* guilty of overly praising AEW, I've really enjoyed reading all the different takes.
  15. The door is open!! My God, man. The implications!!
  16. Kingston/Archer is gonna slay, the taste we got already was awesome. I predict that in our main event we get someone else joining the TNA/heel side - it could just be a red herring or nothing at all, but I mean: a six man tag main at a Beach-themed show...
  17. I figured Best Friends would be next up but with Trent's injury, maybe now's the time to roll with Silver/Reynolds. There is fun to be had with the other Dark Order guys wanting to Freebird the belts, but Silver/Reynolds refuse. Uno/Stu can talk about how they're finally champions, with Silver doing a manic "Uhhhh, no you're not! No you're not, we are!" in the background.
  18. Wasn't Dream's outcome that he was covered under Romeo and Juliet laws because he was only 18 or 19 at the time, or am I thinking of a different pervert who got spoken out on?
  19. I've never seen that match! I'll have to seek that out. I do have vague memories of it happening - this is the match where Jarrett and Hogan shot a TNA angle at the press conference afterwards that went nowhere, correct?
  20. I really wish that at some point during the '02 run or when he was getting physical occasionally in TNA that Hogan busted out the axe bomber (unless I missed it).
  21. It's logical booking and kind of funny for obvious reasons, but I wouldn't be surprised if Darby turns on Sting and they eventually wrestle each other, depending on how Revolution goes.
  22. I finally saw Kingston/Archer tonight and it was awesome, man. I hope they get to do it again on PPV some time, because that thing was a slugfest. I knew the ending was what it was gonna be too (both prediction-wise and spoilers) and it really did not temper my enjoyment one bit.
