Superbowl Superbears. After the game me and my son had to go on YouTube to relive Romeo Crennel yelling "They are who we thought they were!"

Also, I kinda always dug when he'd drop to a knee doing a powerbomb more than just standing up right. Like of all the powerbomb variants that was is one of the most aesthetically pleasing for me. -

100%. Just come in, lay waste, leave. Everyone is left going "Remember that time fucking SID came through and powerbombed all the Von Erichs? We're lucky to be alive!" -

This sucks. I'm pretty sure that infamous(probably forgotten by now) "Steel Davey Richards" quote was preceded by me saying we should have more Sid just power bombing fools and fist bumping fans. And I don't mean this to shame any of the current wrestlers in WWE or AEW, but if you dropped prime Sid into either company he'd instantly be the baddest most awesome dude in the company. It's not that he's a better wrestler or anything. It's just his whole look. He just popped off the page. Kinda like the Ultimate Warrior but more relatable? I dunno. Long live the master and ruler of the world. PS. Fuck man even that catch phrase. Like how is a master or a ruler different? They're not really, but only Sid would feel like you need to know he was both.- 141 replies

And just like that the goofy Brazilian kid with the glasses gimmick is in the Top 5 at Middleweight. They grow up so fast. -

Angela Hill and Tabitha Ricci just went pedal to the metal for 15 minutes in a very close and fairly entertaining fight. Hill becomes the third fighter to surpass 2000 significant strikes joining Strickland and Holloway. -

Wowzers. Great fight, better than expected actually. Was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Dricus is undeniable now. -

Let's go ahead and get Dan Hooker vs. Justin Gaethje in the oven. -

I honestly thought there had to be some kind of "clerical error" but they apparently just fired that judge. Hooker/Gamrot did not disappoint. Will probably be fight of the night. -

Not a good start. Hope that wasn't a parlay. Ready to see Carlos Prates start taking on that Welterweight Top 15. Those hands are laser beams. -

Boy if you want to see a guy with great energy and talent, but bad fight IQ, blow a fight, then check out Culibao vs. Ramos. Culibao lost the first because he fell down rushing in for a potential finish. Won the second round, but could have perhaps finished the fight if he just let the guy stand up. Ramos' leg was clearly compromised at this point. Did Culibao even touch it in the third? No of course not. But he did get taken down at the end to lose the round. Just infuriating stuff. -

I generally don't bet against Izzy, and I think tonight he gets it done. After that press conference his back is kind of against the wall to finish this shit. But I've also nearly always bet against DDP and he manages to surprise everyone. It's an irresistible force paradox. -
If you want to hear a crazy story about how obsessed I was with being on stage, to the point that my internal organs fused together.... you read that correctly..... you might find this video interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIglaVMZx5E

Such a fun dude on the field. Certainly a bright spot during some dark days with the Bears.

Figgy looked very small against Chito, so no idea if he can stay on at the top of this division, but every option ahead of him is an exciting fight. Yeah it was very interesting to see his level of concern at the end of those rounds when his back got taken. Sure there wasn't a lot of time left in the round, but he didn't seem very defensively savy to begin with. There's probably several wrestlers in the division who are licking their chops at his kick selection too. Lucky for him, middleweight doesn't have the same pedigree of wrestlers that other divisions have, so he might be able to skate by for a while. I'll also say, calling out Nick Diaz of all people was kinda lame. I know Nick was "supposed" to fight, but I don't know if beating him gives you any kind of rub right now. -

Kutalteladze did some creative shit in round three of his fight with Vucenic. He was too high trying to take the back and Vucenic was bent over trying to schuck him off. Kutateladze basically did a head stand and kicked of the cage to send them both to the ground and secure the back. Also in that fight, Vucenic was told by his corner he was up 2-0 and so he didn't seem particularly bothered about losing position in round 3. Even smiling while he's getting hit in the head thinking he was going to win 2-1. He lost. Foolishness. -

I thought people were sleeping on the improvements he's made over the last two years. The tenacity, pressure and wrestling I expected. But I didn't expect him to essentially out strike Leon on the feet like that. -

I got more examples! Rose Namajunas vs. Carla Esparza - woof. Angela Hill getting a submission win on a Top 10 fighter at this point in her career. Weili Zhang literally choked a woman unconscious in round 2, and then lost the next round to her. Strawweight is anyone's game I say! -

Oh for sure. I think folks over bought on her when she got the submission win last time. On the other hand, Women's Strawweight isn't known for consistency or dominance. Jessica Andrade lost 3 of her last five and is ranked 4th. -

Disappointing result, but Molly McCann never gave up on herself. She's tough as hell, just wish she could get a run going at this weight. -

All that security to keep Kape and Mokaev apart and I don't think Kape threw a strike for the first 3 minutes. -

I'm pretty excited for this card. Some interesting matches. Rooting for my Chicago guys, even though Belal has been making it difficult recently. Looking forward to Arnold Allen vs. Giga.
