I totally forgot that Dark Harvest came out last weekend. I know that most of us are suckers for the haunted scarecrow gimmick, so we should probably enjoy it even it it is campy and kinda stupid.

So, I heard so many good things about Creepshow S4E1 that I had to watch it for myself. I will still binge the entire season with my kid when she's home for fall break. Aaaaaaand on to the review.... There was nothing wrong with Smile. It was a solid, if predictable, EC Comics style supernatural revenge story with an admirably vicious tone. It just had the misfortune to run behind the most brilliant thing ever shown in this series. "20 Minutes with Cassandra" is a masterful essay on the horror of personal tragedy and how people cope with it. Or in this case, don't cope with it. This story has everything: an insightful and provocative message, gallons of blood, dark comedy. Everything. The cast is fucking great (especially the East African pizza delivery guy) and I am not crying, you are. I don't think there has been a Creepshow segment that has kicked me this hard in the feels since The House of the Head. Did you spot the Stephen King callback in the first segment? I DID~!

Ran into another bug where your craftic iconics are not being displayed in V's arsenal when you place them in the weapon stash. I am beginning to think I should've revisited The Witcher instead of 2077.

So the 2.0 patch has introduced the most amusing glitch ever. During the story mission, The Ripperdoc, it is sometimes possible for the Basic Kiroshi Optics and Ballistic Coprocssor cybwerware installations to glitch and not slot. Most people find out about the glitch the first time they try to use the zoom feature of their Kiroshis and nothing happens. You cannot get Viktor to slot the software after the fact because he does not do any further work on you have satisfied your 21K Eddie debt to him (Paid in Full side gig). The glitch seems to occur when you exit directly out of the menu where you install your initial cyberware. Navigating to another menu before exiting out seems to work around the bug.

I think we all assumed that anyone involved in HH had already seen it. She was also in the Dario Argento campy giallo classic, Trauma, in addition to Carrie (for which she was nominated for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress). I was elated when she won the Golden Globe for her role in Twin Peaks. RIP.

I am trying to meter my expectations, but Scott Derrickson and Gigi Saul Guerrero are tied to this so I am anticipating quality segments. I will probably fire up Shudder sometime over the next few days while I am working swing shift in support of some US Army units training in Japan.

Fired up a new game to see what was what. Love the new interface and that the game world is not littered with trash items anymore. Getting used to the idea that clothing is mostly cosmetic now and cyberware does most of the heavy lifting in the Damage Resistance department.

I may end up playing Skyrim or 2077 again until the next big Starfield update. I am loving the story, but the game world glitches are starting to annoy me. Sneaked up behind a Spacer in an abandoned facility on some planet i was surveying to earn ship upgrade creds for the Star Eagle, thwacked him with my katana, and the body just hung there in mid-air. Reloaded the save I took before killing the guy and the corpse fell to the ground with a thud. Bethesda needs to do something about the game physics.

I will probably wait until the last episode of S4 and then binge with my kid when she is home for fall break.

Sony owns twenty-one first party developers including Naughty Dog, Bungie, Insomniac, and Guerilla. Sony also has invested a huge amount of money in Epic Games, so they have a say in the development and licensing of the Unreal Engine. Also, no one can use the Spider-Man IP without their say so including Marvel, the company that created the character. People should raise hell about these things, but they don't. Meanwhile, M$ buys ADK and the world goes batshit crazy.

I think my thoughts on Terrifier 2 are on Page 13. Lauren LaVera as Sienna Smith does make for an awesome final girl and it helps that the warrior angel cosplay is easy on the eyes. And you are exactly on the money. I think I would be more accepting of Art the Clown as a horror icon if his promotion weren't so indulgent and shameless. I think that's what keeps me from fully embracing the character. The mythology that the Terrifier movies is building is impressive. The idea that not even Art knows that he's some demon's plaything is interesting.

Justin fucking long Long. Sometimes I think he knows he has a punchable face so he takes roles in movies like Barbarian or television shows like Night of the Living Late Show from Creepshow S2 because he is counting on us waiting with bated breath until monsters eat him or squish his eyeballs in the sockets and he laughs all the way to the bank.

Just got back from the movies. Went to see Cuando Acecha La Maldad (When Evil Lurks). HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AWESOME AND FUCKING BRUTAL~! I figured it would be good though. It dawned on me while watching the opening credits that the writer / director of this movie also wrote and directed Aterrados (Terrified): so I knew I was in for a treat.

Melee bonus damage from Boxing stacks with the bonus damage and debuffs from Martial Arts and the debuffs from Neurostrikes, but the damage scaling is the drizzling shits. You cannot punch a Terramorph and expect to live very long. HTH is only good against other humans. If you are up against aliens or robots, bring a gun and some explosives. The damage bonuses and debuffs from Martial Arts also stack with melee weapon damage, so invest in Dueling and call it done.. Once you have Grav Dash and Void Form, you are practically a space ninja after you get the Dueling and MA synergy going on.

Be on the lookout for new loot if you have a current gen console (PS5 or Xbox Series S or X) and have upgraded to 2.0 or have upgraded to 2.0 and have installed Phantom Liberty.
