  1. I thought they called that a natural hat trick in soccer too. That's what we called it when Clint Mathis did it for the Metros as part of his four-goal game in 2001 against KC (still the best one-man performance I've ever seen live). Clint= LEGEND. Happy with the result of the weekends biggest derby, Metro beats the scum (and their disgusting thug of a coach Ben Olsen, who when we kicked the ball out for an injured player ordered his team not to give back the ball) 2-1! Have fun collecting unemployment Ben!
  2. http://www.thebiglead.com/index.php/2013/08/14/jason-whitlock-has-left-fox-sports-to-return-to-espn/ I think this thread needs a renaming. SHOTS FIRED! FS1 takes the US Open from NBC. ESPN takes a terrible sports writer from Fox. That would be the equivalent of WWF getting Y2J away from WCW, and WCW responds to that by taking Public Enemy from ECW. Public Enemy in ECW were fucking awesome, don't dare compare them to a hack like Jason Whitlock!
  3. Jozy didn't play a minute in the Gold Cup. He only played in the WC Qualifiers.
  4. It's not nearly the worst area. It's not great but there are far worse areas in Newark. Not to mention that on gameday the place is crawling with cops. Worst part about the building is the molestation you receive when you enter it (it's like going to an airport). And the security there are morons: I actually had a ticket to a suite for a Seton Hall game but decided to go down to the $10 seats (and this wasn't a student section, it was the cheapest seats in the building) so I could leave sooner. Keep in mind that the section (and arena) are sparsely populated. Security comes, asks to check my ticket, and then tells me I can't stay there. They just delight in busting people's balls which is why I hate going there so much.
  5. But Garber is busy fighting MLS's REAL problem: People saying the word "asshole" on goal kicks! Between this and the Shiek whose involved with NYCFC being ruler of a country that imprisons gays and generally treats women like garbage it really makes a mockery of the whole "Don't Cross The Line" campaign. The fact that Garber hasen't told Veraga to get the fuck out of the league shows what a spineless turd he is.
  6. I completely agree with you. I still remember him having a real good match at a Danbury house show against a broken down Jack Victory, and I feel that of all the ECW champions he had the best and most consistent match quality.
  7. I really wish that Bryan or RVD had won because it would've been a memorable moment. But Orton won and all I could hear afterwords from the crowd was crickets.
