Not to mention games on radio called by the legendary Chuck Kaiton, the voice of my youth (was a great thrill to meet him in 1993 at the Meadowlands after a game. Great guy). Hoping a local ownership group steps up and buys them ala Nashville.

So I exit the Devils game and find my way to the practice rink where a college club hockey game is taking place between Seton Hall and NJIT. Fans were fighting each other. HOCKEY~!

Team that stockpiles young talent and has been going nowhere for years finally has everything come together: could the Oilers end up being the NHL's Royals?

Going to Ottawa, Toronto, Columbus and Detroit for games sometime next year. Anyone have any travel tips for those particular cities (such as places to see, things to do). Particularly want to know if anything in the capital (govt buildings, museums ect.) are opened on weekends. Also, is the HHOF worth going out of my way to see?

Sold my ticket to Rangers-Devils to a guy I met on way home, so I can go to Leafs-Isles in Nassau on Tuesday Instead. Conflict averted. Much rather see JT. There were 13k there tonight and it blew away just about every crowd I've ever been a part of (was far noisier than Philly which is saying something). Building is the last of a dying breed.

Think the Isles might be for real as they badly outplayed the Sharks (outshot them 45-23) but won in skills. Sharks basically stole a point. Interest is picking up as a week ago this game would've drawn 7-8,000 but there were about 13k in Nassau tonight. Was sitting near a Sharks fan who was amazed at the atmosphere and how loud the building was. I'm telling you guys you need to visit the Colliseum this season because it's an experience unlike any of the modern rinks.
