  1. Knicks should've brought in LJ tonight for the return of the Charlotte Hornets. I missed them and Hugo, the loveable cuddly big blue insect. In a totally unrelated thought I think it is a joke that the Knicks haven't retired Bernard King's number. You could make a real case he was the single most dominant player in team history.
  2. We're halfway there, 2-0 over the scum and the game wasn't nearly as close as the score would indicate. I'll be on the bus next week to the raccoon infested dump to see us finish the job. Peggy and Sam were the stars of the game along with the magnificent TH14 (who set up both goals with brilliant passes). Honestly beating them in the playoffs would mean almost as much to me as winning MLS Cup.
  3. The 3D thing in Philly was neat. Told my rep they should rent it to the Flyers so Snider can pay them for once.
  4. Anyone remember on World of Sport where they would have a veteran face a youngster and to make it fair the vet would have to win two falls? They should do that for the Sabres, give us a 2 goal head start, or opposing team has to score twice to register a single goal.
  5. Liberty Ballers tweeted that it's what the all star game would look like if you selected the 24 worst players in the league. Tomorrow will probably be a seal clubbing vs the Heat but at least I'll get a t-shirt and some mindblowing 3D image show for the pregame.
  6. Think there's a misunderstanding. Meant that I guessed one of the guys on the ESPN broadcast said it and everyone on Twitter parroted it.
  7. All i kept seeing on twitter was how lethargic and disinterested he was tonight. But they won so i guess that what counts. I'm guessing one of the yo yos from ESPN said that and everyone piggybacked on it? He didn't look lethargic and disinterested when he was creating opportunity after opportunity, including the two that counted.
  8. Was actually at an MLS match In 2008 where this happened: Danny Cepero (making his first ever start) punted the ball to the other end. The Columbus keeper came for it, but it took a strange hop and went right over him into the back of the net. I think to this day it's the only time a keeper has scored from open play in MLS
  9. Anyone who would argue that TH14 isn't the greatest player in MLS history is a fool. He is just amazing to watch, just a master at his craft. Was sick as a dog today and didn't know if I'd be able to make it, but I'm sure as hell glad I did. Now onto the scum, SOS CAGON WASHINGTON!
  10. LOL Sharts. Think that was the biggest upset since the 1-2-3 Kid beat Razor on Raw.
  11. Bought a Hockey Fights Cancer hat, but not just because it's for a good cause: it also annoys Lance Storm.
  12. Was watching Sabres-Ducks and they played "Whatever" by Our Lady Peace during a stoppage in play. So yeah. And the Canes fans on the board can take some sollice in having the greatest organist in hockey (I say this after hearing he played "Fear of the Dark" by Maiden in it's entirety at a recent game). Not to mention games on radio called by the legendary Chuck Kaiton, the voice of my youth (was a great thrill to meet him in 1993 at the Meadowlands after a game. Great guy). Hoping a local ownership group steps up and buys them ala Nashville.
  13. They are bad but a lot of that's been bad luck with injuries. Over the long haul the Sabres pure unadulturated awfullness will send McDavid our way! There are several AHL teams we would struggle to beat at this point.
  14. So I exit the Devils game and find my way to the practice rink where a college club hockey game is taking place between Seton Hall and NJIT. Fans were fighting each other. HOCKEY~!
  15. Team that stockpiles young talent and has been going nowhere for years finally has everything come together: could the Oilers end up being the NHL's Royals?
  16. Going to Ottawa, Toronto, Columbus and Detroit for games sometime next year. Anyone have any travel tips for those particular cities (such as places to see, things to do). Particularly want to know if anything in the capital (govt buildings, museums ect.) are opened on weekends. Also, is the HHOF worth going out of my way to see?
  17. At Sixers-Nets. There were two lane violations in the same quarter. When is the last game you've seen that had two in a game, much less a quarter? And AK47 airballed a ft. God this is awful.
  18. Good to hear. (Channels Rocky IV) "If you can all like me and I can like you, then there's hope for us all!" *hands Raziel a beer and a Fuck the Glazers shirt*
  19. Breaking news: the Cosmos have signed Raul (yes, THAT Raul). This would be great news... if this were 2010. Wonder if Texspaniard is going to get a Cosmos kit (can't recall seeing him in awhile, hope he's OK).
  20. Flame war is over, sorry to dissapoint :-). Honestly Pete while we may have our differences over city I have nothing but respect for you and your decision to support them. Frankly the Red Bull morons are responsible for all this because they so shit the bed and led to NYC2 being created In the first place.
  21. Heck was specifically fired because ST renewals fell off a cliff. This is well known and has been verified by numerous sources in the know. The fact that you use Metro mockingly says everything about you I need to know.
  22. If you are going to say shit about me supporting the team than you are clueless. I went to more games THIS SEASON than you probably have in your entire life. Fact: I got fed up with that lying shyster piece of shit Chris Heck, and I made my point by not renewing my tickets (still maintained my ESC membership). The minute the biggest piece of shit the organization has ever seen was fired (and keep in mind that I'm including Sackoshit and Guppy) I renewed my tickets. So people like me who made their voices clear by not renewing got the guy fired. So the idea that I left and came back the minute they won the shield is pure fantasy on your part.
  23. They can legally lie (If they couldn't our jails would be filled with people running teams) and I can legally point out they are full of shit (and guess what, I've done it to my own team, even in the Metro days). And you're the big United fan right? Why are you so gung ho about supporting a City feeder club?
  24. Assuming the number is legit, it's still not that impressive. Atlanta has more than that 2 years from forming a team, and Orlando is far surpassing that. Oh, and where's the stadium? Let me guess: the sheik will make an announcement in 60-90 days. Horseshit. You never felt the need to mention Orlando or Atlanta before because you were so convinced NYCFC would be dead in the water ticket wise. I believe your exact quote was "English Chivas USA." Suddenly NYCFC announces 10K sold and you're all BUT BUT BUT ORLANDO! Quit moving the goalposts. We'll see in March how legit the numbers are. Just know I've spoken to fans of other PL teams who bought New York City season and they were not happy when they started getting spam from the parent club, so they haven't learned from history. Saddest part in all this is that Red Bull has fucked up so bad that they are NYCFC's best advertsement. The good thing is that they are probably gone shortly butthe damage may already be done.
