  1. I tried Batman's Special Combo moves presses (A+X for Special Combo Bat Swarm, A+B for Special Combo Multi Ground Takedown and X+Y for Special Combo Disarm and Destory) when playing with Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman in the challenge combat maps. Some work better than others, Nightwing had the best. When the number flashes, that's the time I use a Special Combo Move. It's a X5 combo to use the Special Combo Moves and five after that etc. right?
  2. So I'm the young 'un so far, 28...but feel older!
  3. I'm kinda inclined to agree with this. Just in case anyone cares. I can see your arguments and the other side wanting to see certain things again. For me those are the movie countdown projects, the videogame countdown projects, the I'm Batman thread and the comic book cartoons topic. I'm fine either way, it's just good to have the board back!
  4. Congratulations Control, JL Sigman and Super Ape. EDIT: Reached the daily likes limit. Bugger.
  5. Bought Star Trek: Into Darkness today as a surprise for my Mum and Sister. All three of us liked Star Trek (2009) so I'll watch Star Trek: Into Darkness at some point after my Mum/Sister.
  6. Well the Batwoman news is most disappointing. Batwoman: Elegy by Greg Rucka and JH Williams II is terrific and I read Batwoman #1-5 which was great via Batman, the monthly UK magazine printing recent Batman stories. A shame no Batwoman stories have made it since. What are the trades like?
  7. For what I just spent on engagement/wedding rings and will spend on the wedding, I fully expect to be still playing GTAV when GTAVIIII makes its debut on the Playstation 6 Congratulations. Not sure whether I'll be getting Grand Theft Auto V on release yet. Haven't bought a game on release or shortly after it for a long time. I might because of Rockstar's track record but I just remembered I didn’t like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004) and Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) which is concerning. I still have things to do in Batman: Arkham City and I got Dishonoured last Christmas which I haven't played. Batman: Arkham Origins and Lego Marvel Super Heroes are out as well.
  8. Further to that before SummerSlam 2013, Daniel Bryan made Randy Orton tap out in his Street Fight victory on RAW. Orton had to use the Money in the Bank contract and Triple H's Pedigree to beat Bryan, the new WWE Champion at SummerSlam 2013.
  9. Thanks. You're the artist once known as OutlawStar 51, right? Did you guys complete the side missions, Riddler trophies, riddles, Riddler hostages and the breakable objects before Harley Quinn's Revenge or did you jump between the two?
  10. So I played Batman: Arkham City for the first time since the 8th of August yesterday (didn’t want to play it while my Mum was in hospital). I had a big session in the main story: going back into the Steel Mill, fighting The Joker with thugs, Mr. Hammer and a Titan jumping in as ghost trains are running, playing the Catwoman section when you break into the TYGER vault, as Batman climbing helicopters in search for TYGER Master Control Program codes, climbing Wonder Tower, going up against Hugo Strange, finishing the main story as Batman and the final Catwoman section as she faces Two-Face. If you remember, I said I forgot to destroy the one remaining Titan container when you visit Wonder City for the first time. I wasn’t looking forward to going through the Subway to get it as I found it the easiest place to get lost, then Wonder City but you return to Wonder City as you head for Hugo Strange. I liked that as I was able to destroy that Titan container and end the Fragile Alliance side mission. I also unlocked a couple more challenge maps. Before I stopped, I found the third remaining Deadshot victim and narrowed the three possible locations where he’s at and completed enough riddles to rescue the fourth Riddler hostage. Remaining now from main story mode are a few side missions, Riddler Trophies, Riddles, Riddler hostages and the breakable objects. I have Harley Quinn’s Revenge as I own Batman: Arkham City, Game of the Year edition. I’m guessing as that was DLC, it doesn’t reflect the upgrades/skills made in main story mode? Don’t like that. I also have the medals from challenge mode/challenge maps which I think most people know it as, not Riddler’s Revenge. This post is getting big so I’ll spoiler tag my favourite and least favourite things from Batman: Arkham City for size.
  11. I missed the great Scarecrow sections, the second you mention was the best of them. Also:
  12. I hope WB Montreal keep Rocksteady Studios traditional slow walking introduction. Batman: Arkham Asylum's has Batman taking The Joker into Arkham Asylum and in Batman: Arkham City, it's Bruce Wayne who is in Arkham City. So well done.
  13. I left my watching for this project late as I only started the month before the original deadline so my ballot was #1-50. If I started sooner, I would have seen more films and would probably have done a 100 vote ballot. However it was good submitting a 50 vote ballot for the first time since my ones at smarkschoice. I feel a smaller sized ballot really makes you have to think about your selections, it's a challenge. I like the minimum/maximum allowance.
  14. I just wrote this exact post, but I noticed yours. Also how the fuck are there always 5 million pages by the time this Dutch motherfucker's got around to skipping thru Raw?! On your last point, I'm in the same boat as you sometimes. RAW threads seem to have grown since Daniel Bryan vs. the WWE Machine started.
  15. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the title. I think they went with a darker shade of red for the stones because the belt really pops more now than it did before. I'm also glad I'm not alone in thinking the WWE Championship was different. I agree it looks like they went with a darker red for the stones. The word Champion stands out more on this one and it's shinier. Original: RAW last night:
  16. This month’s Batman #16, a monthly UK publication collects Batman, Incorporated (Vol. 2) #11, Batman #21 and Batman and Red Hood #20. Batman, Incorporated (Vol. 2) #11 name of the story is Interlude: A Bird in the Hand and it’s a fitting name taking a break from that main story to return to Batman of Japan. This wasn’t written by Grant Morrison but by the regular artist on this volume of the title, Chris Burnham. A decent story but I’d much rather have had the story carry on where the last issue left off. Batman #21 starts Zero Year, Batman’s origin. The first story from Batman #21 has Bruce Wayne return to Gotham City from his travels to work on the mission while his Uncle, Philip Kane wants him at Wayne Enterprises which has merged with Kane Chemical. This was a good story. The second story from Batman #21 by Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV drawn by one of my favourite comic book artists, Rafael Albuquerque was mostly good showing how Bruce Wayne leant the driving skills he uses as Batman. In Batman and Red Hood #20, Batman requests Red Hood to go with him on a revenge mission and takes him on a detour afterward. The story explores the second stage of grief: rage and it was another good story. I preferred it to the last issue.
  17. This version of the WWE Championship on RAW looked different to me. If so, I like it more than the old one as its shinier, the red on the WWE logo is darker than the last one matching the actual WWE logo and Champion can be seen clearer as it stands out more. Always had an interest in wrestling championship titles. Spotted the fan dressed as Randy Savage with trunks made me smile.
