  1. Welcome to the dark side, @The Natural, we've been waiting for you! Well, we've been waiting for anyone, really. It's pretty lonely in here.
  2. This week's Dynamite (I think) will be the first one with a 30 day delay on FITE. I downloaded the DAZN app, but I have not made any deals as of yet. Well see how badly I need my current Dynamite fix. Maybe I'll survive on the back episodes at least until after Revolution.
  3. This is my biggest concern about getting Honor Club, too! I haven't been able to find a convenient way. Chromecast should be a possibility, but I haven't tried using that yet, either.
  4. Decided to pick up the original Full Gear 2019 PPV with my FITE credits. I'm here mostly for PAC vs Adam Page, but this has all kinds of wonderful stuff, including Cody vs Chris Jericho for the title. It was odd to hear the crowd NOT singing along with Judas during Jericho's entrance. I need to come back to this again, since the ending night shift meant me drifting in and out of consciousness. Just witnessing MJF becoming the asshole he's known today was something else!
  5. OC vs Wheeler was every bit as good and emotional as I thought it would be. It was nice that there was an actual point to The Acclaimed tag match, as in The Gunns asked their Firm associates to take them out. I wasn't paying too much attention to the tag team battle royal, as I was cooking at the same time, but it was good to know that we'll get an actual match with Aussie Open. Jarrett and Lethal at least tie in with the storylines of the past few months, but the 4-way tag will probably lean into the entertainment aspect of pro wrestling, no matter who the final team will be. Good for Ruby to get a shot at the title on PPV, but can she come this close once again, only to lose? Magic 8-Ball says "very likely". Starks outsmarts Jericho, let's see if JAS really stays away. If they won't, will there be any consequences? Main event was bloody. It went how I (and everyone else) figured it would. Yay for HOB addressing The Elite on Friday. Oh, and the MJF vs Dragon got personal. I have no problem with that.
  6. Well, with the actual PPV coming up, it should be fine to focus on building the stories and matches that will be featured at Revolution. I'm sure there be enough entertainment value to make it worthwhile, regardless. Of course, big matches for those who will not be featured on the PPV itself couldn't hurt, right?
  7. Could be worse. At least he's not "Nick Khan's codpiece"!
  8. The way the environment is going, if there aren't any now, in a few years there WILL be some tax havens under water...
  9. I didn't even think about that, even with the HOB challenge... that WAS a challenge, right? But yeah, that will be something to look forward to!
  10. I recall an interview conducted with Bret Hart on Superstars (?) about King of the Ring'93 opening round match against Razor Ramon. That's all, though.
  11. Crazy week, 5 workouts. Working through the weekend, as well. This will probably affect next week's workouts. Bench is slowly improving with some reps with legit 264, but nothing special. Plenty of heavy dumbell stuff on a few different days. That's the most fun I have during these workouts. Trapbar was on Thursday. I had my left lat all jammed up during the day, so I took an extra half an hour just to warm up and stretch and roll to loosen it up. During the workout I did the following: 456 lbs from a deficit without Versas (standing on a platform), 506,5lbs from close to a ground level without Versas. 572,5lbs from the same level with Versas. Then off the same platforms as previous few weeks, 4x579, two separate singles with 645, after failing the first attempt. 3x610, 6 and 5x516,5lbs and finally 15x494,5lbs. I didn't do any heavy shrugs, but did some light stuff to get the circulation going in that area. The next day the lat was feeling pretty fine, but the jam had moved up to the left trapezius. Very typical place, for me. If this keeps up, I should be clearing a 660 lift some time soon, which is cool, I don't even give a shit about resorting to using the elevation in the form of the platforms, I just need to be able know I lifted it from somewhere. It probably won't be next week yet, however.
  12. Opener was crazy, again, but The Elite put their opponents away more convicingly, this time. House of Black challenging is the right move, but the fuck was the point of all the Eddie Kingston stuff prior to this? Just to lead to a match between Eddie and Ortiz on the Buy In/Zero Hour?!? Jade gave Vertvixen pretty much nothing. And that didn't even lead to anything on the PPV yet, but another win for Jade I guess? Garcia vs Starks was good enough, Sammy vs Andretti should be nice, too! Yay, Dustin! Big, although tainted win. Swerve needs to get another go at this. He and Parker were about to end Rhodes for good until some old, grey, bald guy used Keith Lee's music to distract the two so he could make a save. He apparently also took out Trench. Mox vs Uno is probably a massacre, but you'll know Uno will go out swinging. OC vs Wheeler should be pretty emotional, I guess this would be a consolation prize since Darby vs OC champion vs champion match can no longer happen, for the time being. Although, Wheeler hasn't exactly been a fighting champion so far. Shit, I hope Aussie Open would get one of the spots in the 4-way, but I won't hold my breath on that one.
  13. I'd suggest staying well rid of tequila. Gin I got into during our trips to Edinburgh, but that will need a proper tonic to go with it. But neither are something your life will be richer for, after having tasted. Not lying though when I say that Gin and Tonic has made more than a few Dynamites last year seem even more enjoyable than they probably were.
  14. Yup, I got the calves and squats done on the machine. After a warm-up with 143, I did 10x160, 10x238, 12x330, 8x427, 10x330, as well as a set of calves with all those weights and smaller weights while unloading the plates. Also some one legged calf raises on a platform between all sets. I also some powerwheel and other ab stuff and three sets of dumbell OHP, two standing and one sitting down. After this I will probably not do trapbar very early next week, but rather later on. And now for two days of eating everything in sight, starting...well, an hour ago!
  15. "It's miiiinnnneee! All MIIIIINNNNEEE!" *snooooooooooooorrrrt* "Ok, now I'm ready to put over The Bushwhackers in a non-title match for the third time this week... fired? The hell you mean fired?!?"
  16. When you say Demolition-style, do you mean the way Colossal Connection evicerated Demolition for the belts on Superstars?
  17. I'll comment more a bit later on, but the MJF backstage promo /story/confessional was distubing, but also bullshit! This guy did NOT score in high school (the MJF character, no idea about the actual person). I do believe he would have switched places with one of the less wealthy members of lacrosse team if they would have crashed the car like that. The Rush match was added a lot of bells and whistles on top of the sheer brutality to make it a story worth telling. I think it worked splendidly. Also, Rush being 5-0 pretty much made him a contender before this match (the commentary said as much). So yeah, the opener was wonderful and it let MJF actually show something in-ring for a change. Bunny had a nice showing but it got a bit messy in the end there, but Hayter then just put the end to that nonsense right away. Trios title was crazy, it was nice that Kenny put AR away with a counter wrestling move rather than 3 finishers like they did with Cassidy. The main event was the "shocking" tag title change I expected, but at least Billy was trying to do the right thing. It was cool to see the banged up Takeshita still take the bullet for Danielson and keep Jose and Vance busy so Bryan could, erm, RUSH to the ring. The gauntlet wasn't much, but Jericho found a smart way to avoid having a match with Starks and gave Garcia a big win in the process. Also, about the made-up MJF promo, I don't think he would have said anything unless the statue of limitations hadn't already expired, and unless the imaginary chick he supposedly scored with actually ended up surviving the crash.
  18. I don't know if it is the new bench or the psychological damage of realizing that none of your bench records for the past 5 or so years are real, but the bench press has been difficult as fuck. The best I managed was a few sets of 3 or 4 with 241 (which would have been lifted as "247" previously) and they felt rough. More pump sets with 220 and 139 and pump was not bad, but the reps were just not there. This was Tuesday. Bunch of standing dumbell curls and side delt work were also on the menu. Wednesday we just carried a bunch of boards to reinforce the floor so we can finally do deadlift etc without the platforms if and when we want. Still no mirrors on the walls though. Thursday was behind the neck OHP with EZ Bar, with 4x15 with 91 and 3x15 with 86, then lat pull down combos with resistance bands and push downs. 3 sets of dumbell curls on Scott bench with 57, 53 and 48,5 with 10 reps per arm and two sets of hammer curls (until the reps become so partial that you say that's it) with a pair of 70,5's and 75's. I'm going today too, after I've watched Dynamite and I guess it should be calves and squat machine.
  19. He does, at least some of them. It's funny that his own material is sort of homage to early 2000's Nu-Metal. But I guess there are folks who feel nostalgic towards that, too!
  20. Bit of a rhetorical question here, or just an observation, but who the hell keeps making the amazing synth-wave themes for AEW wrestlers? First it was Sonny Kiss/Bad Boy "Just Drive", then the Cool Hand/ Daddy Magic "Sunset on Vice" (or something to that affect) and now The Outrunners! I have the first two on my gym/running playlist, I hope The Outrunners gain enough steam for their theme to show up on Spotify, at least!
  21. Is it just me, or does Danhausen's nut-based curse work way better, or at least faster than the regular one? He adjusted it for proficiency and had success with it during that Best Friends trios match. Anyway, decided to purchase Revolution with cash instead of FITE credits. I came up with the plan for the year, which is new PPV's with cash to get more FITE credits and then use those credits to exclusively purchase older PPV's. Buying older PPV's with cash gives you no extra credit, so this plan would give me most bang for my buck throughout the year.
  22. Well, maybe he fell asleep on a night out and his team mates pranked him, drew on his face, rolled him into a questionable tattoo parlor and told the artist to make the scribbles permanent. If those were his own choice, then you are most likely correct.
