  1. Its a combo of having to stop Washington 4 straight downs since they play like a 12 year old playing Madden, and all those injuries on defense. I feel so bad for Lions fans.
  2. Live by the trick play die by the trick play. That's a wrap. Gonna be a tough pill to swallow. Bummer I was really pulling for a Bills Lions Super Bowl.
  3. At some point someone in NFL media (ESPN, Fox, CBS, Prime, Netflix, somebody) is going to have to go in on how often refs get calls wrong in favor of The Chiefs. Its a drastic asterisk on their dynasty. Theres not a game that passes where they don't flop or sneak a bullshit call. It's preposterous that no ever talks about it on air.
  4. If a QB slides and there's contact around him between opposing players (that doesn't even hit his head) that's somehow a penalty. But only if you're a Chief. The refs in this are a fucking joke. And I'm shocked players and coaches on the Texans can keep their composure. I'd be losing it.
  5. Jesus fucking christ. If anyone defends that call they need locked up in a padded room. He wasn't even hit!
  6. That missed extra point hurts the momentum pretty bad. So close to being tied but now still down.
  7. A roughing the passer that wasn't roughing nets them 3 points. A non call for offsides on a field goal leads to 7 points. They are +10 points off of bullshit. None of that shows up on the stats you're looking at. If it were just a few times it's happened it'd be annoying but fine. It happens in every Chiefs game. For YEARS now. It's maddening.
  8. Has there ever been a team gifted so mqny flags? How is it always The Chiefs ALWAYS benefiting?
  9. I don't think you can compare the NFL to scripted entertainment. WCW's downfall and over saturation would have all been moot if the creative was there. WWE has sustained 5 hours of weekly first run live programming for over 20 years now. So over saturation wasnt the issue. Football isn't reliant on creative to keep people interested. The enjoyment comes from rooting your team on and watching actual competition. The enjoyment is always going to be there.
  10. 2 week pre season, 2 games. 20 week regular season, 18 games & 2 bye weeks. That seems like the sweet spot. There's 2 extra weeks of regular season tv revenue, menaing a higher salary cap and more money for all. There would be expanded rosters from 53 to 58. Which means 160 more players making a living on active rosters. Also 2 bye weeks so you get a little more rest than the current format. I don't see a negative here. Sure it's an extra game of wear and tear. But you get an extra week off to off-set that. Fans happy. Players happy. Owners happy. TV networks happy. Let's do it.
  11. I get that and I agree actually. But you have to take into consideration how they've been produced tho. Given the freedom to call things more naturally and without the mandates Vince made him follow for 10 years maybe Graves would sound nothing like what he currently sounds like on WWE TV. What they sound like is what Vince wanted. I know he's gone. But there's still a lot of his weird quarks that were put into place that they follow. With the handcuffs off he could be a totally different / better version of himself. Hey he could also be exactly the same. Or even worse. But just a blanket statement that someone worked in WWE so you don't want them isn't really fair. Have to give these people chances and judge on the individual performances.
  12. YA! Helll yeah! Lets stick to Shivonne, Taz, Renee & Nigel! Oh wait. Literally all were WWE announcers too. (JR too but that would detract from my point not add to it lol). Not directed at you personally here obviously. But I hate this talking point when it's talent. I hate this talking point with announcers & staff too. Discounting talented people just because they made a living in WWE is crazy. Graves is a great talker. This is definitely a work. But if it wasn't, letting him be the lead guy on Collision would be an improvement. Ex, Tony, & Taz on Dynamite. Graves, Nigel, & Menard on Collision. What's the problem there?
  13. The way the TV seems to be going I could see Mox -> Cope -> Christian -> Jarrett -> MJF. There's literally no way that's what will actually happen tho right? RIGHT?! They don't do that frequent of changes so I actually don't expect that lol.
  14. My number one least favorite aspect would be the strict rigidity of the formating of Dynamite. 6 matches every single week. Only one of them is a Women's match. Every match goes at least 10 and has a PIP break. You'll never have that anything can happen feel when it's the same thing every fucking week.
  15. Call me crazy but I'd be super into TNA Champion Dolph vs Cena at Mania. I actually think the match would be better than what we'll get with Cena vs Cody.
  16. The numbers have moved closer to 70 / 30 in poll. I think TK's biggest weakness is hubris. He's very proud of what he's been able to accomplish and his mind set appears to be I did all this already I know what I'm doing, everyone else is wrong. Enjoyment of the shows are down / ticket sales are down / ratings are down. The whole vibe of AEW is off. Sticking your head in the sand and assuming everyone else is wrong isn't going to change any of that. I know this is a Death Riders thread. But so much of AEW suffers from the same issues that are happening here. I hope something sparks a turn around. WCW 1999 vibes. The train is still rolling but you can see the damage further down the tracks that are about to derail everything.
  17. Re: Call girl So a call girl isn't just someone who just sleeps around. A call girl is a hooker. It's like weird old timey 1950s slang for hooker. And this isn't shaming sex work or anything like that. I have no problem with that. But I think a little of the outrage is likening the term call girl to saying whore. But that's not really accurate. Regardless just a super cringey segment. It felt like they wanted Jarrett to go the whore route and he just wasn't comfortable going there. So they found a compromise for him to say something that wasn't as distasteful to him. But in the end ended up coming off bad all the same.
  18. You gotta have a hot hand to be able to go with it and nothing is hot right now lol.
  19. Its can't be Starks. Whether it could or couldn't be is irrelevant. It can't be because he's gone. TK is icing the people who are leaving for WWE. Starks is leaving for WWE. So pining away for him seems like a wasted thought experiment.
  20. That's a busy image, just focus on the top left. Dynamite is the silver line. The last three tick marks are what's included in this angle. Not a gigantic drop, but slightly down we go (with a few minor spikes up and down). It doesn't prove this angle is some kind of gigantic failure hemorrhaging viewers. But it does prove the ratings have not gone up since this started as Drew suggested.
  21. No. They're not. This week was above last week. But that doesn't mean anything. It's a steady slope slightly down since the start of this angle. (I can't get the image to load from my phone. Will upload it later. But Wrestlenomics has the whole year graphed out for all TV wrestling).
  22. There were two distinct stories that played out. Brochachos --> who is the Devil was the first. That ended when we found out and MJF got surgery. MJF then came back and moved on. When Cole came back they're started a the second story based on who was really the bad person in that first feud. This isnt Rey Fenix's contract, you don't get to add time for injury to a dormant story lol. The first one ended. MJF had other stories including the Osprey one. Then they started a second story.
  23. Every report out there has been consistant that this was all planned well in advance and not a pivot. Danielson winning the Owen / winning at Wembley / wanting to drop it to Mox / retiring. All of it was in place around January of last year.
  24. He was already ROH Champion for a longggg time. Held it for about 300 days before dropping it to Eddie Kingston in 2023. Had an additional reign in 2022 where he held it for 60 days dropped it to Jericho then won it back. Must not have been a very memorable 300 days for you lol.
  25. False. At least partially. That story started in June 2023 and concluded in December 2023. 6 months. (They chose to restart the feud once both guys were back and healthy 8 months down the road. But the original angle ran for 6 months). This angle is about hit 6 months. Sept - Feb.
