That 41 minute delay was a bummer, and the crowd was getting testy but everyone was hot as the show started. I was worried that they would cut time from matches but three of the earlier matches went over 15 minutes so they weren’t cutting any time. I agree at least the lawlor match there was no need to remove the damn ropes. That was just a basic hardcore match. But they did rush through intermission, as soon as the ropes were back they played the next pre tape. Crowd was so hot for Mercedes and Kairi. That was such an awesome match. I’ve been to a bunch of cool shows and seen a bunch of really great matches, this is definitely right up there for me. Okada and tanahashi barely anyone left for and the crowd was red hot as well. Really fun show.

Actually sorta thinking about this. Just $10 to get in and watch the festivities. You can drink beer and take pics with the wrestlers. $250 to be the fifth person on one of the 10 wrestlers teams. I wouldn’t do that but I actually think that’s pretty reasonable. And it’s a charitable donation. We’ll see, I asked a friend if he wants to go.

They’re at 6951 tickets out right now. I think it will get to 8k just on the sheer momentum of producing an event, but it surely won’t be momentum of hot angles and matches unless these next two dynamites are something else. I’ll post about the live experience. This will be my first time at chase and I’m looking forward to the sexy new building. The contrast between chase and the cow palace 5 days before will be something else.

The observer has notes about the free peacock for Xfinity subscribers coming to an end, which I’ve been enjoying. The free ride ends on 4/2, but xfinity subscribers can choose to sign up for peacock and get the next 6 months free. Then in October I would have to pay like anyone else. Not sure what I’ll do then. They have until October to really win me over and make all the ppvs can’t miss for me. Then I’ll pay for the service. When I cancelled the wwe network I thought I would never resubscribe, but here we are.

Romero across from Volador as well. I haven’t watched the matches but I’ve heard about them and I bet the crowd will react to the matchup. It’s gonna be a fun crowd.

I assumed he would be having a big match at revolution. Now there’s only two dynamites left before the show. I’m pretty underwhelmed with everything that’s going on actually. There’s plenty of good stuff but not much that has me genuinely excited.

These upcoming tapings at the cow palace are going to look so bad. The shows are going to be very dark because otherwise it’s just going to look awful.

I’m really looking forward to the show, those two matches in particular. Plus what’s likely Jay Whites final new japan match. We got Jushin Ligers final US match as well, although it wasnt treated as much, being a tag match with Aaron solow in the second match on the card. Dave meltzer had a great line “everyone in the building understood the importance of that match, other than the new japan officials”. Super excited for Kairi vs Mercedes. Huge fan of both and I think it will have a big fight feel.

At New beginning in Osaka this past weekend @Web Conn Eddie Kingston responded to Jay Whites video promo sounding like it’s on. Dave says he’s supposed to be at dynamite Wednesday as well.

I live by Oakland in the east bay. This has turned into a really unique card compared to a typical nj usa show. Fans are gonna be hot inside the building, but I’m disappointed with them going head to head with extreme rules, that’s going to get all the buzz that night.

I don’t think it’s gonna get to much more than 8k total, lowest attended ppv yet and first time in the market (although I’ve stated multiple times I think they messed up their whole entry into the Bay Area). Edit: but it is over 6500 now.

We’re gonna find out lol. Hopefully things work out and Sami can come out strong after mania, and the crowd doesn’t turn on Cody. We shall see.

The only way they can have Sami lose the match in Canada with the red hot crowd is to have jey betray him and reigns gets full heat and goes super strong heel right? Then the fans will really want to see Cody defeat reigns at mania. I think that will work out. This promo really helped things along though.

Jay lethal and moose had a match as black machismo and Zeus, that sounds like fun. Seems like a lot less buzz this time around, I didn’t even realize the cruise was this weekend until I saw a retweet in my timeline on Saturday, then I started looking at the jericho cruise hashtag.

I thought the story was Shawn and triple h were bad mouthing rock to management when he first came in.

I think he meant fight for the fallen and fyter fest which were before dynamite started and streamed on b/r live. I had never heard they were considered failures but they said they were going to do special events other than tv and ppv and they stopped.

Titus Alexander and Nick Wayne went to a 30 minute draw tonight in Sacramento (I didn’t attend, if it was in ssf I would have). Now they’ve set up a rematch which will be a TLC match at the next show on March 4. The problem with that is that’s revolution weekend, with rampage also the night before. I don’t think there will be many traveling fans coming to the bay that weekend who will be hungry for wrestling. If it was any other month I’d be excited to go but I’m already skipping rampage because I’m going to too many shows in a 3 week period. Nice problem to have though. I hope the show sells out. Maybe there will be enough SoCal people coming up who will want to see wrestling on Saturday.

If wwe calls him on his birthday and says we’ll give you 1 million dollars to be on smackdown as Nick freakin Wayne, he better legally be able to take that offer. Or he got terrible advice by someone.

When I heard about “the contract” I was like damn that seems weird, watch he’s not even getting paid, and he just confirmed that. Jericho asked what it entailed and he said he’s learning about tv and stuff like that, but he also confirmed he’s not traveling to the tapings. I’m like what the hell kind of contract is this? Indentured servitude for minors? But I assume it’s not real and aew promised they would sign him when he turns 18. Yes I’ve seen him in person multiple times. He’s the real deal and he’s gonna be a star in the business. With his age and experience (and privileges), with how much all the wrestlers respect him, and how much buzz he gets, his ceiling is crazy high. He doesn’t need rubs, HE is the rub. I was just like, what the hell kind of contract is this, and when jericho asked him straight up if he’s getting paid, and he’s like, well, no, it made me laugh. That’s all. Carry on.
