Shut up, everyone! Shut up, Lutz! Dwarf Fortress is getting a Steam release with an updated tileset and new music. The free version will continue to exist and get updates alongside the premium version. I feel like I kind of have to buy it since I've put roughly a million hours in DF and paid $0 for it. I mean, they already have the backers' money so there's no real downside to pissing them off.

Yeah, this was me too. My hairline started to go at 18 so I buzzed it and, except for a couple of poorly-conceived experiments, have kept it that way ever since. I did kinda hit the bald guy lottery since I have very light colored hair and a normally-shaped skull. I don't mess with doing the full cueball, though. I use clippers with no guard and buzz it down to stubble once every week or two. Way easier than trying to blade shave your scalp and I like the look of a bit of stubble.

I've fallen asleep in Bulletproof, Galaxy Quest, Meet Joe Black, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and probably a lot of other movies. Not really a comment on their quality, mostly just my lifelong terrible sleep habits. That also doesn't count when I worked at a theater and would go into movies for the purpose of sleeping. I saw Alita last week and it was pretty good. There was like four movies worth of plot crammed into it, nothing really got resolved satisfactorily, and the CGI for the main character was not quite there, but it was enjoyably dumb fun. The best part was probably Christoph Walz saying ridiculous things like "hunter-warrior" and "Vector runs motorball" with a straight face.

I didn't have a huge problem with the weapon durability, but I also bought a set of bootleg amiibo cards that helped me cheese my way through the early game. By the time I got the master sword the game was throwing so many weapons at me that inventory space was a bigger issue.

I think it's fine for players to request a trade. I think it's fine for players to name preferred destinations. I think it's fine for teams to prioritize maximizing their returns over sending players to their preferred destination. Like, it's a bad situation and clearly no one is happy, but it's hard for me to say that anyone really acted wrongly. Anyway Danny Ferry is going to be the interim GM and try to sort out this shitshow.
