  1. To Henry "Bro deadlifts give you that big gross unfunctional muscle, you need to do 100 rep Snatches to get that long lean functional muscle."
  2. Gosh you guys don't understand the Crossfit life, you do things just because you can! (see kipping pullups).
  3. Does this contract mean that JayZ will now get all the big stars? I can see Puig signing with him.
  4. I think it is quite possible that Kobe thinks so highly of himself that he believes that the size of his contract is not an impediment to another title. Yeah Kobe probably thought his Lakers would win the NBA title the year they traded Shaq.
  5. But he is worth $24million to the Lakers based on jersey sales, ticket sales, TV ratings. It's not liked Kobe demanded and negotiated that price, the Lakers offered him that as the 1st offer Kobe just accepted. Would it have been great of Kobe to suggest a lower contract? Yes. Does this prove that Kobe's #1 priority right now is not getting a 6th ring? Looks like it. As a Clipper fan I'm happy that this happened because I don't want the Lakers to be good, however I think Kobe is getting too much heat for something he should not be obligated to do. (Not so much in this forum, everyone here is very reasonable.)
  6. Yeah if Kobe truly cared about winning at all costs he would have asked for $15 million a year or less, my point is that is unfair to blame the player for not taking less than what they are worth. If a player wants to take below market value in exchange for a better chance of winning that's fine and the player should be applauded for his selflessness, however when a player doesn't do that he shouldn't be vilified for it. It shouldn't be expected and demanded that every star player take a paycut in order to have a better chance of winning, in the end that money saved just goes to the owners.
  7. Kobe just took what is his fair market value. It's unfair that star players have to take below market value contracts in order to win. LeBron had to take a less than max contract in order to win, if there was no salary cap he would probably be the first $40million/year player. If fans want to get angry at someone for not their team not winning, blame the owners who instituted the salary cap in order to make maximum profits. Kings just sold for $534 million dollars and yet the owners were crying that they were unprofitable. Also players should have hired better union leadership, there's a reason MLB doesn't have a salary cap and it isn't by choice of the owners.
  8. I liked the idea of them putting the PPVs on the network, and charging $20 a month for the network. I would definitely pay $20 a month for that and whatever else they put on the network. I think they could get close to 10% of the RAW audience to pay for the network this way.
  9. Any chance that the landscape has changed. Nowadays the biggest combat sports stars are not the heavyweights, Mayweather, Pacquiao, St Pierre, heck even Ronda Rousey is a bigger star than most heavyweights right now. Of course WWE would never correctly book an important non-heavyweight division, but maybe if another company wants to become a true competitor to WWE they can use a Middleweight and lower division to differentiate themselves from WWE.
  10. If you worked for Vince you'd be getting a push right now.
  11. You're one step away from cutting DDP promos here. NOOOOOOO you replied to him.
  12. Yeah that's true it kick started his popularity, I just find the idea of a 18 second iron man match where Sheamus wins 5-0 to be funny.
  13. But what will you say when they do Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan in a 18 second iron man match instead.
  14. Titus has huge potential as well but he's already 36 (same age as Cena), so best case scenario is a run similar to Batista (who was 36 when he won the World Title).
