  1. Judging by the sign behind her and her hair colour, I would guess Sasha Banks.
  2. Okay, I thought that was only bizarre for Europeans like me.
  3. Putting such decisions on companies is wrong anyway. For one, you cannot expect companies to have medical, epidemical or whatever experts and two, companies have a tendency to do what is good for them (or for the stock prize) and less what is right for the common good.
  4. I was quite shocked when I read yesterday that Merkel was using that number as she might be one of the last persons to use inflated numbers or similar that might cause panic among the population. Especially as here there is nothing to gain except trying to tell the citizens that this is really serious. Though I should mention that this number usually is used to indicate how many people will get infected within the next 2-3 years, not within the current epidemic (or pandemic, like the WHO now offically calls it).
  5. My sister is living in Italy in one of the red zones and believe me, malls were already empty 2.5 weeks ago (my brother-in-law sent me some pictures that looked zombie-apocalypse-level). In Italy alone, there were 196 deaths today (well, the last 24 hours) even though they started shutting down public life two weeks ago. It might be that media has a tendency to cry wolf (as this is how they get viewers, clicks etc.), but sometimes they are still right.
  6. I am not worried about my own health, but I have lots of family and friends that are above the 70-year mark. For example, my father is 83 and, while general being in good health, is very prone to illnesses that effect the respiratory system.
  7. I have read a report that in Italy, they have a mortality rate of 5-6 %, in France and Spain about 3 %, Germany 0.2 % (or something like that). The problem is that different countries use different measures at what to count as COV-19 related deaths. Furthermore, in Italy they have begun testing every dead person for Corona. But the big issue (risk) with COV-19 is not the mortality rate itself, but the way that most of the people who get infected get barely any symptoms, i.e. they may wildly distribute the virus without ever knowing about it. There have been experts stating that without deeper precautions (like done in Europe all over the place right now), a spread from 25%-70% of the population might happen. And just type 7.8 billion * 0.01 (lower boundary of mortality rate) * 0.25 (lower boundary of a pandemic) into a calculator. Sure, the world population grows on average by 80 Million a year, but still.
  8. FCW and OVW specials are nice, but what this world really needs is a special about DSW and what a shit-show that was.
  9. If it's Mania, they would announce at least 70.000, no matter what.
  10. I was more mark than not in 1996 and even I was pissed of about that, especially as it was just a couple of month after Ahmed Johnson bodyslammed Yokozuna, which they played up as a huge deal (he was the only to do so, at least on tv, besides Luger).
  11. I think the general idea (at least that is what I read 2-3 weeks ago) is to delay it until the normal flu season is over so that there are not two similar diseases going around at the same time. Apparently, starting on Sunday, large portions of northern Italy will become almost completely blocked off. My sister is living in one of these provinces and even ten days ago there was already quite some panic going around (she sent me a picture my brother-in-law took, from a mall that looked like post-zombie-apocalypse levels of empty in the middle of the day). School has been closed for two weeks now and will at least be closed for four more weeks (though there are talks that it will last at least until the end of April). As this means that all childcare facilities are closed as well, things get pretty complicated for families will children, where both parents are working (like my sister and my brother-in-law).
  12. Sorry, I missed that, though it should have been obvious.
  13. Egypt and the US have an extradition treaty, so it *could* be true to some degree (as in following the criminal to Egypt and, probably the US embassy, inform the Egyptian police about the wanted man/woman).
  14. According to Alex Shelley, Madagascar Pro has the best wrestling in the world, including stars like Somalia Joe.
  15. Approx. in season 3 (might have been earlier) they really dropped all boundaries, now it's the seven dirty words left and right (for example, the last episode had 10 f-bombs; after googling it that seems to be the limit that they got by Syfy), everybody fucking everybody etc. I assume that early one, they kept close the to books but over time got their own identity which is much more "vulgar".
  16. That's a shame, the writing is still pretty creative and entertaining (even though I assume, if you binge watch older seasons you will find lots of consistency/continuation issues, just look at the Fen character, for example).
  17. I don't know anything about him besides the Last Week Tonight montage from Sunday, but he should have gone the full Howard Beale.
  18. What about Lou Thesz? He won the Boston version of the AWA World Heavyweight Title in 1937, won numerous world titles in the 1940ies, 1950ies, and 1960ies and the UWA World Heavyweight Title in 1977 (okay, he was awarded that belt). So he won world titles in 5 decades.
  19. He was also, besides Stamboli, by far the youngest one, i.e. he was not an early-mid 30ies rookie (okay, I am exaggerating, Jindrak was a six-year-pro at the time he was released) when WCW was sold and his WWF career did not work out. Jindrak and Stamboli were born in 77, while the rest of the group was born in 69-71.
  20. I am neither a smoker nor a stoner, but aren't the, let's call them target groups, of tobacco and weed not completely different?
  21. As I was a bit curious about Sanderson as an author, I recently started Elantris. I am currently about 1/4 to 1/3 through. My summary so far would be that the world definitely has some depth and that the main topic, the "fall of Elantris", even though a standard trope in fantasy (or in myth or even religion), bringing in some interesting ideas. But the characters, oh my god, the characters. You could not come up with more one-dimensional, uninspired, tropey characters as the two protagonists if you tried, the secondary characters are not much better. The only character, that seems to have some depth, is the antagonist. Is this just because this is some very early writing, or is that Sanderson's modus operandi? (quick googling seems to indicate the latter)
  22. When I saw a bit of him in the Austrian Bundesliga in fall I was just amazed. That speed combined with the way he can control and cover the ball is just astonishing. I heard he did a 60 meter sprint against PSG in something like 6.64 s, which is just amazing (the track world record is not that much fast, though obviously he did not a cold start, so the comparison is not 100% accurate).
  23. "Colt, it's okay ... I guess?" (don't miss any chance to post a goofy Toru Yano pic)
  24. At least they will stop calling him "the legendary JBL". "(WWE) Hall of Famer JBL" sounds less offensive to me.
