  1. While it's been my "kill 30 to 60 minutes" game since it came out, I decided to try unlocking all of the alternate moves for the characters in Streets of Rage 4 which requires you to play survival mode with the characters enough times to unlock the moves. I have everyone unlocked except for Roo which I just learned was a bonus character in the DLC. Looking at the trophy list, I can finish off the DLC once I have his moves unlocked. With the alternate moves, some are better than others but the extra time with the roster has made me think about how to use everyone in different ways and makes me rethink using Adam as my main guy. I'm glad for survival mode since it mixes up the characters and keeps the game fresh enough for me.
  2. For NXT touring, they're kind of back to their old coconut loop in Florida but some touring outside of that would be good. I agree that smaller venues would be best. When NXT would come to Milwaukee, they would run Turner Ballroom which is probably 700-800 people with the ring setup. Venues with that capacity would be good. Their big shows seems to be in cities that are close to large ones (Bakersfield, Cedar Hill, etc) so that kinda checks out.
  3. Don't forget the spinning leg kick too! Come to think of it, no one does Booker's arm wring into a leg kick combo anymore. That's should come back.
  4. Interesting. If true, he won't miss too much aside from maybe the post WM Europe tour and maybe the next Saudi show?
  5. My first thought was Anna from Tekken so I looked it up and there was a side by side image of Anna and Ada which made me go "oh duh" As far as announcing, a blend of calling moves and their impact is best. In theory you'd have one announcer for both. Just make Excalibur stop calling moves that stop flying attacks "anti-air" I play fighting games and that's the nerdiest shit ever.
  6. Probably not, hell Joe Gacy was a fake "woke" guy initially and that got some blowback until it just evolved into typical wrestling cult guy.
  7. If you're going to have these broad characters, developmental is the place to do it. You've got business woman and lawyer and pageant queen to round out the other gimmicks too.
  8. And while I think Book and Vic work well together, Vic's casual style just irks me for some reason. Probably because Book and Wade both dressed nice so it was an odd contrast. Hell, Vic wore a damn suit in his sit down interviews yesterday so it's not like he can't or anything.
  9. Oh I love Booker on commentary. I think he's the WCW B show Dusty Rhodes of our time.
  10. Wasn't expecting those title changes tonight! Shotzi and Scarlett did a fine job hosting and navigating the costume changes. The twins scene with Melo was a nice touch. No one believes Melo which is hilarious. No match was bad tonight but nothing was amazing. Also, who was the Stratton clone? I'm blanking with the outfit and wig and their mannerisms matching Tiffany too well.
  11. Watching Rampage and the 3 way match just made me think about Marq Quen. He got some kind of surgery 6 months ago but hasn't updated his IG since then. He's gotta be close right?
  12. Hey now, the place I bowl at has jackets if you bowl a 800 series during league. It's a long term goal of mine to get one.
  13. Huh? I'm not sure how my post could be seen as defending Vince.
  14. This. It's more about Ari telling Vince "hey, focus on these rights deals for Raw and NXT and stop screwing around with creative" since Vince's job is to manage the big corporate stuff like that and not get caught up in the week to week stories. With that, it gives HHH the green light to go and keep doing his thing (which will still have Vince's finger prints because that's who he learned from). Now if the deals for Raw and NXT are good? Then Vince might get more involved with creative. If the deals aren't as good based on projections? Vince might be on the hot seat forreal.
  15. The fried okra is like the best thing on the menu at Church's.
  16. They're more of less back to doing the old coconut loop again roughly 2 weekends a month. They've used footage from it to advance angles on the NXT TV show.
  17. But people did watch it at 8 or right after. The threads were pretty hot back in those days and didn't have a lot of "oh I watched it 3 days after it aired, let me add my comments. Granted diehards are not the same as the rando who sees it while scrolling his channels but there's some overlap.
  18. And like most open world games he's going to be crazy OP when he gets back to the main questline
  19. So count me with folks who got screwed over by the DVR. I saw the early start time, checked the schedule and didn't think about manually updating it so I just got the second hour. The Toni/Kiera match was good and I thought Caster's rap towed the line in a funish way. Bummed I didn't see Starks win though.
  20. I'm pretty sure Luger is still in a wheelchair and does work for WWE wellness policy so I don't think that's happening.
  21. You'd probably have to start with a B/C show for the scaled back presentation to ease folks into it. If you look at the state of gameshows and the network talent shows it's all gaudy with screens and lights and what not so wrestling is in line with that. With the massive size of the screens plus TV wrestling's avoidance of wide shots, most entrance videos are barely noticeable to me now. Orange Cassidy's video seems too "wink wink nudge nudge" for my tastes but that's his whole character. I miss the days of a video having some clips of the wrestling kicking butt mixed in with clips of them posing in some cool looking location that was probably an old warehouse with some lighting and filters applied. I guess Shida's is fine and Sammy's with the cartoon of him beating up Darby, MJF and Jungle Boy?
  22. Sonjay said "Don't touch my giant" but your versions is better. Levi is/was a mainstay of CWFH and is a Bay Area guy so working the Stockton show makes sense. He had a great heel run in 2019-21 ish as their TV champ with Howdy Price as his manager. Dean would have been so hyped to see him in this spot.
  23. When he did Austin's podcast years ago he mentioned that he went with Panama City because it sounded cooler than wherever in PA he's from. Plus Panama City Playboy sounds better than Lancaster Lothario I guess?
  24. So I made a Mongo CAW and ran him through Road to the Elite which unlocked 2 of the story paths I didn't get to in previous playthroughs. I've ran through all of the scenarios now so I don't think there's too much meat on the bone.
