  1. Damn it, man. I didn't notice that until you had to go and say something. I now understand the context of Chester's earlier post.
  2. Of all the wonderful things the internet has brought us, I'm greatly disappointed that a best of David Crockett youtube video is not among them. When you search for the best of David Crockett, the first result is him getting decapitated by Nikita. Shame on you, google.
  3. He has a long way to go but last night went about as well for him as it could've.
  4. God, that Fish promo was so good. Ain't that Steiner promo in the wrong thread?
  5. Yep. And while I thought their tables match was a god damn mess from a booking perspective, the work was still fun. I didn't see it but wasn't there a recent Rollins/Cena cage match that people liked?
  6. Totally. He has a bunch of big PPV matchups set for the next 3-6 months. The best part about the conclusion to Wrestlemania (other than Roman not winning the belt) was how perfectly it sets up the next period until around Summerslam. He can be a slimeball and weasel his way through Orton and Reigns' challenges. It'll be the Lesnar match that will be difficult to book if/when it happens. Brock, in his current state, would annihilate Rollins, even with cheating and J&J. I think Seth has a bit of the Shane Douglas syndrome in that he's a better babyface in-ring performer (remember how fucking amped the crowd was when he was bouncing off Evolution? So great!) but a better heel persona outside the ring. He has a big babyface run in him and maybe he could develop a sympathetic character but now isn't the time. BRING ON SETH DOUCHEBAGGERY!
  7. My guess is they have a blowoff stip match at Extreme Rules (CenaWins). Outside of those involving Brock, it seems like all big feuds must have three matches in them. It'll be following that night that will be interesting, I think. Who's fairly over, has a good connection with the crowd, and has been booked strong over the past few months yet can afford losing a feud to Rusev?
  8. I disagree. Rollins' match with Bryan from June 2013 was better than the Reigns match from Fastlane. Then again, one match was meant to make Bryan look strong and the other was meant to make Roman look strong. And Rollins bumped like a lunatic for Bryan. It also avoided the tired finisher reversal sequence and had smarter build up to something as simple as the last "yes" kick to the head after all the chest kicks.
  9. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are the two big NXT players ready for prime time. Itami needs time to get comfortable working the WWE style and Balor needs to develop better promo abilities and maybe refine the difference between reg'lar-ass Finn and nise Predator Finn. I don't really want anybody from NXT to pop up on RAW. If somebody were to "graduate" to the wonderful world of RAW, I suppose Neville makes the most sense but I fear for him. Not because he's lacking ability or polish either.
  10. WWE twisting Eisenhower's Farewell Address concerning the military industrial complex into "fuck yeah, America," was only the 2nd most WWE thing done all night behind the Sting/HHH booking. And I thoroughly enjoyed how the crowd wasn't sure how to react in that match. "We fucking hate John Cena. And Rusev is amazing. But Russia is evil... Hmm... LET'S GO LANA!"
  11. I played some OOTP after Mania last night and was marking out big time. Javier Baez hit an 8th inning grand slam in the 5th game of the 2016 NLDS for me and the Cubs beat the Phillies to get into the championship series. We were down 4-2 at the time of the grand slam. We lost to the Rockies in the DS in year 1, so this is progress. The starting lineup is pretty much Rizzo and all of the prospects plus Carlos Gonzalez (whom I traded Jake Arrieta for just before Jake's arm went to shit). I feel dirty but I was also able to swing a series of trades to land Strasburg; nothing exploitative of the system but we're clearly in bizzaro land (as if the Cubs winning a playoff series wasn't enough). The Cubs prospects are rated like baseball gods in OOTP. Bryant led the NL in homers and finished 2nd in batter WAR, Baez led the league in homers in 2015, and Soler is crushing it too. Addison Russell is turning into a phenom, so much so that I traded Starlin Castro as part of the package for Strasburg. Schwarber has developed into a home run machine too. Albert Almora is a contact ++ hitter and great in center. The roster is stacked and I have a starting rotation of Lester, Strasburg, Hendricks, Yovani Gallardo (free agent signing), and Joe Ross (a separate deal with the Nationals with Montero and Alcantara being the main pieces going to Washington). This game is fun. Very fun.
  12. Steam has Alien Isolation at a 75% discount. If you were on the fence, hop on over to the purchasing Isolation side. Ridiculous deal. Sale ends in an hour though.
  13. Jumbo, that was better. Just don't get any ideas of kicking us out of the playoffs. Don't you feel like the season should just end, like, right now? It totally should, right?! Sorry Senators fans... oh, wait (there aren't any).
  14. I don't know how much of Undertaker looking old was Undertaker being old or Undertaker selling the idea that he's not the Deadman he once was, which has been logically building for about 5 years now (and culminated in last year's defeat, this is like the denouement). The match was pretty good all things considered but Bray was visibly grasping at his hamstring throughout and seemed to be in a lot of pain. I really felt he needed a big win on a big stage after being made to look the chump in the Cena feud and going nowhere since then. He's dead in the water and I know about 50% on here don't care but I love the goofy bastard and want him to be in that Undertaker spot in years to come (sideshow, co-star). Rusev losing also sucked donkey dick but we knew it was coming and I much preferred this match to their Fastlane match. Rusev is the fucking man and that Oklahoma Roll combination he did early on is bonerific. Please keep Lana and Rusev together. Please. The divas tag was the best divas match I think I've seen from WWE. And notice how the announcers called the match in all seriousness and put them all over. The Bellas working cohesively and continuously taking out AJ was really good. I think this was Vince giving the divas a chance and they should all be proud of the match. The Sting/HHH stuff made no fucking sense but I felt like they had a really good match going (for what it was) up until the smoke and mirrors. I thoroughly enjoyed it all while knowing it was the most nonsensical bullshit they've pulled in the past few... weeks? I don't understand what the point from a storytelling perspective other than "Fuck Yeah, WWE/F," so I guess that was the point. I wonder if that's the last we see of Stinger. His appearance on JR's podcast months and months ago sure made it sound like he was a one and done type of deal in WWE. The main event was near perfect. Roman didn't have to do much but what he had to do, he did well. I really like the idea that BobbyWhioux mentioned, in that the match was playing out as everybody expected and dreaded it would and then Rollins came in and saved us. Roman comes out of this 100x better than beating Brock and being anointed generoCena to 76,000 people booing the shit out of him. Roman took his beating like a man and now hsi chace feels way more organic and sympathetic. I still don't want him touching that tile for a long while yet but in that 30 minutes they've done more for him than they've done since the Shield breakup. The chase for Rollins with Orton, Brock, and Roman should be fun. Everything else was at least fun in some regard. I went in disgruntled and annoyed and came out very pleased with a few gripes. While I think last year's show had better matches, this year's mania was more enjoyable.
  15. Hmm, what is this ditty you speak of? I have never heard of it. :/ Mangok (forgot the silent "k") hit that big, game winning shot vs. Virginia at the end of the regular season and almost booked the Cardinals' tickets to the state that should not be named. Another fun game. This tournament is the best thing.
  16. Heresy. Scott Norton will pass on and in the following centuries his giant muscle mass will live on. Scott Norton musklez 4 life (and beyond)!
  17. The rumor is it's a sprained ankle. They'll numb it up for the match and he'll work through it. THO HE SUX AND HOW CAN U NOTICE?! LOLZ
  18. Yeah, dude, it totally worked for Cesaro. So much heat in the last year. (I know what you're saying and I'm not criticizing you, just WWE - a truly groundbreaking act on this here message board and internets).
  19. Probably a combination of fatigue (playing every minute of every game is impressive but fucking dumb) and Kentucky being ridiculously long/good. He forced a three earlier in crunch time and then failed to recognize the double and eventual triple team -> corner trap at the end there. Jackson was all but invisible barring one nice drive and finish (1-7 for the game), which is probably a bigger factor. He looked shook. But the entire ND starting 5 was trending downwards as the fresher Kentucky team was making most of their later shots. That's what you have to expect when UK has that kind of depth vs. basically 5 players (Colson barely played in the 2nd half and Auguste refused to play hard on the block, leading to free and easy inside buckets for UK). Edit: Dewar, my Canadian bruver, TSN is the absolute dog shit in terms of making us sit through back-to-back NCAA tournaments with that fucking Asiago sandwich commercial from Wendy's. Fuck them and fuck that sandwich. These commercials make my head hurt. The same 5 fucking ads the entire tournament. Double edit: I hope Travis Trice becomes this generation's John Starks. Somewhat similar appearance and game. I mostly just miss John Starks.
  20. Oh my God, yes! First thing I thought of too. Vince is Big Boss!
