    I like it in SOTC when you take so long trying to work out what to do that a deity starts booming tips down at you from the heavens presumably out of exasperation or boredom.

    Valve has stuck pretty well to their word so far about no longer seeing it worthwhile to put resources into making single player experiences like Portal / Half Life.

    I always assumed that I would end up getting a PS4 like I ended up getting most of Sony's platforms but considering I'm always likely to have some form of PC in the future (be it an infini-core Google ear ring or whatever) the argument for me getting one boils down to Do I want to play Bloodborne? I don't even like my PC as a gaming platform but if another Big Box is going to be added to my collection it needs to be able to offer something the others can't, and unless you're sticking with your current PC forever then you don't want to be at risk of a few 'Game X found in Steam database' announcements giving you buyers' remorse. (PS FFVII will show up elsewhere at some point).

    Step One: Go to the wiki page for Playstation 4 games. Two: Click the Excls column title twice so that all the 'Yes's are at the top. Three: Look at the games in the Yes and Sony categories and decide how happily you can live without them.

    Hard for me to read any undertale review without a) heavy scepticism that the reviewer has played the Mother games and b) fury at the inevitable description of the damage minigame as 'bullet hell'.

    The plan was Street Fighter IV happened. 3D fighters and Smash have been having their own fortunes, but the release of SFIV really gave the Street Fighter Clone genre a shot in the arm.

    I posted a mid-year list of games I had been playing about six months ago so here is my list for since then. No commentary included - I've only played one game that was released in 2015 so that would be my goty by default. Actually Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box is fantastic as long as you a] mute it and b] ignore every tip, task, goal or comment the game gives you. Drive around and do what you want. The title may be a reference to the ancient christmas tradition of being given a finely tuned high tech toy and having a lot more fun simply playing with the box.

    Mario, Zelda and Metroid all took a route that went roughly pioneering NES debut > nutso letdown sequel > ok guys here's the real sequel > pioneering 3D debut. I think we can all imagine what kind of stance Yamauchi took after letting the hippies express their creative vision for the first follow ups.

    Please say it's better to hold out until I have something that can run Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition so that I don't have to buy the original now and feed my backlog which is already suffocating every pore.

    They're similar, but different. Perhaps people thinking they're beefeaters would be the justification for the Queen personally issuing them with a License to Maim to defend their honour.

    After learning that they consist of actual trained soldiers I want the next big mlitary IP to be based on the Queen's Guard. Double hard British army bastards screaming at people and cleaning house in bright here-I-am-come-get-me red bloodshed-friendly outfits. Their furry helmets enabling them to be safely fired missile-style into enemy territory, headbutt foes into the horizon or absorb enemy firepower as a literal bullet sponge*. Inspired by Luigi's Mansion's press A to call for Mario feature, one of the primary buttons will be dedicated to shouting MAKE WAY FOR THE QUEEN's GUARD. *this could be stored up and unleashed in a devastating all-direction attack with a warning cry of 'hat tension!'
